Kevin arrived much later than expected, however, the work was great quality as well as efficient. He offered suggestions on how to make the door work better and didn't charge me any additional fees for it. He just charged the trip cost ($79) plus the cost of the springs ($40). The garage door now works better than it ever did! I would certainly use this company again.

I felt very confident that the service provided was first class, and I will use this company for any future needs I have regarding my garage door. (I used the $5 Angie's List discount).

The company was very responsive. The gave me an appointment for the following day and showed up on time to do the repair. The repair was completed in about 1.5 hours.

Spoke to Kevin on the phone at 4:30pm, he was at my hose at 5 ready to work. He was finished by 7:45. Highly recommended family business.

I had one garage door that would only open 1/4 of the way. He unidentified the problem as a broken pulley combined with too short and worn out springs. He replaced both springs along with the pulley, then checked over and lubricated Both doors for me. It took no time at all, he cleaned up when he left, and he was very friendly. I couldn't possibly be happier!

On Sunday we went to open our garage door, only to realize one of the two springs had broken and the opener could not pull it up. We called Dunwoody Door Lift that evening and left a message and I expected a call back on Monday. About two hours later we got a call back and they said they could be at our home the next morning. Due to scheduling on our part we actually had to ask them to come on Tuesday. They came within the time frame given. They recommended that we replace both springs given their age which made sense to us. As well when the job was complete they let us know of a wire they had replaced and showed us the old one that was about to break. The extra wire cost $10.00. This is our second use of them and we cannot recommend them highly enough based on our experience.

My garage door stopped functioning correctly and obviously needed some settings adjusted. I tried to do it myself by reading the manual, but couldn't get it to work. I called Dunwoody Door Lift and Kevin came out the next day. He was great to work with. He inspected the door, identified a frayed cable and replaced it, lubricated all the moving parts, and then finally adjusted all the settings so the door would work correctly again. The moving parts apparently had not been lubricated in years, because when Kevin was done I was astounded at how quiet the door was. In any case, DDL is an old family company based right in Dunwoody, and they are outstanding to deal with.

The serviceman came out when scheduled and assessed whether the garage door could be repaired. He estimated $80 for the repair and $1,300 to replace the entire door. We chose the repair. He did not have the parts in his truck to do the repair then, so he came back the next day. He repaired the door, as per the estimate, and also informed us the cables were fraying. Thus, we had him replace the cables as well for a minimal charge. Overall, we were very satisfied and would call them again.

The service technician was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. The job took him a bit longer (about an hour total) than he expected due to some problems in getting everything balanced. Unfortunately we had some problems with the door jamming a day or two after he left. A quick call to the office and the technician returned in a very timely manner to make additional adjustments. The door was making just enough contact with the frame of our house so as to make the door occasionally jam. He had to adjust the tracks the door runs on which required some refabricating of the brackets. This was due to the way the tracks/brackets were manufactured and not his previous repairs. Once that was done, everything worked great and we have not had any problems since. There was no additional charge and we were very pleased that Dunwoody Door Lift Co. went the extra mile to be sure everything worked correctly and to see that we were satisfied.

I called the company midday today. They scheduled me for between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm this afternoon. Kevin was great. He was a bit late, but he apologized and at 6:15 in the evening he took our relatively minor problem very seriously. He left around 7:30. He was polite and concerned, and even respected my six-year old son. I recommend him without qualification.

Before sending anyone out, the nice woman on the phone helped me to troubleshoot what may be the problem. She then said her son would be in my neighborhood in a few hours. Her son, David, arrived on time and although I was at work, my husband told me David did his job very well. Although the service charge was supposed to be the standard $79, David not to charge us for a specific reason I won't go into - but it was a very nice gesture to be sure. Still, my husband gave him some cash to cover gas money. I am totally pleased with the work done!

I think that they did a great job on this difficult job. They arrived on schedule and finished in a few hours. I was very pleased with their work. I haven't had any problems with either door. They are very professional and were very courteous of my home.

Would absolutely use this company again. Ken's suggestions really helped with this project. Very professional, these guys know what they are doing and do quality work.

Very pleased with DDLC, they came when promised, did the work quickly, even did some simple maintenance (lube and tightening). The door is working great and is 75% quieter than before they came out.

Great. Showed up on time fixed one door. Suggested because of the age of the doors he look at the second door. Fixed the second one as well saving a trip in the not to distant future.

I did some price searching and research on-line and offline. Their price and service was the best I found. They sell the same brand of doors another company sells, but Dunwoody Door's prices and delivery times are better. I would highly recommend them. There were some communication issues, but overall it was a good experience.

On my initial call I scheduled an appointment for the end of that week, a Friday. I believed that the appointment was set for noon with a 2 hour window. I waited until 2:15 pm, no repairman came, I received no call and my calls to the office consistently landed in a voicemail. I called back the following week to find out what happened, a gentleman that I spoke with stated he would investigate and get back to me, he didn't. I called again the following day, spoke with a different gentleman who stated he was aware of the problem and explained he believed the original appointment was set for "midday" and the repairman "would call and set an exact time." He did advise me that he wanted to get me taken care as soon as possible. We scheduled an appointment for the end of the week, still wasn't able to pin down a time other than midday, but the repairman did show, did a great job and the estimate was right on.

Woke up 5am and garage door was making a grinding noise, but wouldn't open. Called another company advertised on the radio with supposedly same day service who told me it would be the next day at the earliest before they could come out. Checked Angie's List and called Dunwoody Door Lift. They were in the office before their stated opening time and scheduled an appointment for later the same morning. Showed up on time, took one look at the door and replaced the needed part right away. Also, they didn't try to sell me additional services or anything I didn't need. I really felt that they knew what they were doing and were very trustworthy. Would definitely call again and would highly recommend their services. Only drawback is they don't take credit cards; which could pose problems for some if they were undertaking a bigger project.

The technician (I think it was John) came as scheduled and was polite and professional. They were able to come the same day (which was good as we had the door propped open and could not close it). It took about an hour and the bill was what he told me it would be.

This company did wonderful work at a good price, and I recommend them, as long as you ask to talk to Elaine Grizzle and have her husband and son do the work. I do not recommend the other couple who own this company, as I had a very strange interaction with them.

Very reliable, fairly reasonable and work is excellent.

The service far exceed my expectations. They called within the time frame they said they would. Our service person was very courteous and took the time to explain what had been done and what some future needs might be. This is a situation where they could have said, "Replace the garage door," and we would not have been the wiser. They have earned our trust and we would recommend them without question based on this experience.

With our garage door half up and half down we were very happy when Kevin asked if he could come a day early. He was very polite and very helpful. The original recommendations I had for repairs were for a company that had a fee to come out that would not be applied to the work done. The Dunwoody Door Company does not have this policy, although they do have a minimum charge. I was very glad that I took the time to look around, it saved me at least 60 dollars.

I contacted the company (via email) and asked for a price on installation of a belt-drive garage door opener in a new home. They replied the next day with 2 prices for belt-driven units with warranty descriptions for each. I selected the one I wanted. Ken Grizzle called me to make an appointment for the day I needed it installed. The rep arrived on time and completed the installation cleanly and quickly for the price quoted. He tested the unit several times to make sure it worked properly. No hassle with the entire transaction, and I am very pleased with how quiet the door operates! I highly recommend Dunwoody Door Lift.

Prompt and polite. Did a great job. Our garage doors no longer sound or feel like a earthquake!
