Devo Stone Tech

We recently purchased a new slide-in range to replace an old drop-in model, only to discover that the slide-in didn't quite fit in the space. The cabinets were too low and the granite front edge was too deep, causing a gap between the range back and sides and the counter. We were unsure how we were going to fix it, thinking that the cabinets might have to be completely replaced to accommodate the new range. After scheduling an appointment with another company, who ended up being a no-show, we were fortunate to find Devo Stone Tech on Angie's List. Devon and his assistant came to our home close to the originally scheduled time. Devon texted us that day beforehand and told us that he was running a few minutes late, which is a great courtesy. No problem there. Once they arrived, Devon quickly assessed the situation and offered a solution that we hadn't even considered. They got to work immediately. We could tell that Devon was an experienced professional, and knew exactly what he was doing. He worked quickly, paid attention to detail and was careful to minimize any mess. He even patched a piece of chipped granite that the original counter guys had installed improperly. While he was waiting for the glue on that repair to dry, we asked him to give us an estimate for replacing a marble countertop in a guest bathroom - it had been damaged by using the wrong type of cleaner. Devon told us that he could polish the counter instead, and sure enough, now it looks brand new. We can't say enough about how pleased we were with Devo Stone Tech, and wouldn't hesitate to call Devon again in the future.

Devon is great to work with. The aren't a lot of companies who are willing to work with your original countertops. Most places want to sell you new ones because they don't want the liability of removing, cutting apart and working with the old ones. I chose Devon because his main business is restoration and repair and I knew that he would understand the importance of carefully removing and remaking segments of the counters and then replacing them. The finished pieces look beautiful. There were a lot of moving parts on this job between the removal of the countertops from the house, picking up the new pieces from another place, bringing them somewhere else to be refinished and them putting everything back. Devon was happy to work with us on all the aspects of the job. He is so pleasant to work with and we are so pleased with the final outcome of his work in the kitchen. I would definitely work with Devon again on another job. He doesn't only do restoration and repair, he can do an entire job from beginning to end with stone.

Devon was very punctual and professional, fully explaining all details. I enjoyed working with him. I knew I could trust him to do a good job because he took personal pride in his work.

DeVon was very punctual, explained things very well and was more than willing to modify the plan as the work went forward. My house was built in the 1930's so, of course, unexpected issues surfaced. He handled these very well and had excellent suggestions on how to proceed. He actually finished the job ahead of time. The price was reasonable and the cleanup was well done. He did all of the work himself. I would definitely use him again and am happy to recommend him.

I called to discuss what was going on with my kitchen counter top and back splash. Devon was knowledgeable about what my problems were and discussed how he would handle the repairs. Coordinating our calendars, the work starter a week after our conversation. The work could have started sooner, but I was tied up. Once at my house, Devon and I walked around the kitchen talking more about the work that he was going to do and discussing what I expected out of his work. He was busy the entire time he was here, showing me what he was doing and asking how it was looking to me. He was concerned with me being pleased, which I was.
