Davis Plumbing

Mr. Davis' son Chris gave me an estimate of 2200 dollars to fix the problem. It was a bit on the high side but I was having trouble finding someone to do the job so I accepted based on earlier reviews. The project has been a disaster, and I urge to never hire this company. The demolition of the shower went well, and then absolutely nothing. I called and spoke with someone who said he was Mr. Davis, and eventually he and his son sent a company called ravens reconstruction to do the work. The owner of ravens, who had a business card and told me he knew the owners son and had been hired to help, proceeded over several days to do two thirds of the work. They did a terrible job of matching the tile, and likely were using little bit left over from other jobs they had done since they didn't even use enough to finish my shower. They had found some damaged wood in the step over in the shower, said it would be replaced,but shoved in some plasterboard The work is two thirds finished, incorrectly done, the tiles they did install are covered with a layer of grout, and the shower is still totally unusable. All this Took three weeks. At this time the son demanded additional payment, coming by my work for a check, and frantically telling me he needed $300 for a job he was doing In Roswell to buy parts. When I called the company to follow up on this strange behavior, I was told by someone who said he was Mr. Davis but did not sound like the Mr. Davis I had talked to initially, said it was my fault because I had dealt incorrectly with the subcontractor, and I was promised that Mr. Davis and Chris would absolutely make sure the shower would be fixed in a week Now here we are, on March 19 and I realize Davis Plumbing has taken my money, botched the work, and seems to have no intention of doing what I had hired them to do. The company is no longer answering his phone, the son Chris Bewley is not answering his phone, and Chris from ravens reconstruction is not answering or responding to messages. I am left with an unusable shower, incompetently done work, and I am out $2200.it doesn't matter how good this company once was. I have never had an experience like this with the company before, and I have been a homeowner for many years. I have tried in good faith to work with his company, I feel I have given them a chance to complete the work and they did not. I urge you to avoid them like the plague.

Melvin and another worker tore out my old shower, poured concrete, tiled the walls and floor of the shower without installing a drain, left, and never came back, taking $1300 of my money and leaving me with a completely unusable shower. He didn't return any of my calls, and didn't even come to pick up his tools. I've had two other plumbers look at the work; they both recommended that I at least report him to the Secretary of State and Better Business Bureau, and possibly take more aggressive action. He ruined my shower, left me with a bathroom I can't use, took $1300, and disappeared. I am now forced to find another plumber or contractor willing to tear out Melvin's "work" and redo the job from scratch at a cost of thousands of dollars.

I called first thing monday to have a gas line re-routed that we discovered was in a bad spot while re-landscaping. They came out later that day, quoted me approximately $650 and said they would be there first thing tuesday. That time came and went but i received a call saying they doubled booked and it would be later in the day - 3:00ish. That time came and went to but another call said they would be here the Wed afternoon no later than three. It is now Thursday nearly 4 pm and i have not heard anything. Yesterday afternoon I called them to say "dont bother" you are obviously too busy and called the 2nd plumber who came last night, quoted me $200 less and is here doing the job now. At total waste of my time and extremely unprofessional.

He did a wonderful job. His price was more than reasonable and we were very satisfied with him. We would recommend him to anyone. He really worked with us. We haven’t had any problems since he fixed it. We called him the night before and he was here the next morning right when he said he would be. We didn't have any problem with anything. He did a great job and he was a perfect gentleman. My daughter and son-in-law referred him to us. I think he is going to be the family plumber. We would definitely hire him again.

The plumber installed the commodes easily and with no problems. He was efficient and cleaned up the packaging and removed the out dated toilets. The whole project took an hour and a half. We live in a tri-level house with two bathrooms upstairs and one bathroom downstairs. We definitely plan to call on this company for future needs. We are satisfied with the work.

Melvin and Alex performed the work and they were excellent. They were very responsive and flexible and did a high quality job for a good price. This is the 3rd plumbing company I have used in the Atlanta area and these are the guys I will be calling in the future. They gave me the best quote of the plumbers I called and I feel like I got great quality work for a good price. Davis is a smaller outfit where you are hiring the guys that are actually doing the work which is how I prefer things. They are very pleasant to work with and seem to be genuine, honest guys. I highly recommend them.
