,I had 32 VCR tapes of family movies that needed to be transferred to DVD. It was a complicated process due to the fact that the individual tapes were not always in chronological order. I spent a great deal of time making a log of which parts of which tapes needed to be done in what chronological order. They did follow those complicated directions correctly. The only problem was that they didn't transfer one tape, and when I went to pick up the order, I had to kill over 2 hours while they transferred that tape. They were almost an hour's drive away, and not as close to me as other video transfer companies, but I chose them because the were highly rated on Angie's List. They are pleasant to work with, and I would use them again.

I had a fairly large amount of Super 8mm film that I wanted to transfer to video/DVD. I did a test run of one reel at another shop in town, and they did a poor job. But I learned from the process what questions to ask. I then called a couple places in town, and Video Impact gave me all the right answers. So i did another test run with them, the results were good, and then I ran all of my film through them. Their process uses "direct imaging", which is the best way to do a film to digital transfer (and far better than an intermediate projection, for sure). The resulting DVD had their business name only as a small logo, leaving lots of room for my own labeling. The price was good. The work did take a while to complete, a week or two, but they told me this ahead of time, and they did complete on schedule. They also took care of a special request I had about chapter markings on the DVD. The only bad thing about this business is the location. Between the dropofs and pickups of the various reels, I ended up going there about 5 times, and if I never have to take the Roswell Road exit off 285 ever again, I will be a happy man. The traffic around that intersection is pure evil, seemingly at all times of the day. Video Impact did an outstanding job, and I'm taking the time to write this to encourage people to take their film transfer business to them. I evaluated a few places in town, and this one was the best, and certainly a good value.

No problem. They looked them over and I was able to tell them exactly what I wanted and they understood. They said it would be ready in two days, and they called the morning of the second day and said they were ready. I picked them up that afternoon.
