Cross Country Movers

Awful, as soon as they got our deposit communication deteriorated. Picked up the shipment in timely fashion but didn't deliver for almost 3 weeks. Upon delivery we discovered that they lost or stole a TV, lost hardware needed to assemble bed frame. Tjhey scratched, scraped and broke our furniture. I have called 5 times to get them to send me a claim form for the missing TV and damage and they never follow through. It appears that Cross Country Movers is a front for J and R movers out of Elberton, GA which has terrible reviews on line. Do not use this company.

Their sales people were amazing and very convincing - especially Chris - who assured us that we would receive "white glove" packing and unpacking service for all of our belongings. We accepted their bid of over $16,000 for the move. What happened next was not at all according to the scenario that Chris had outlined. The move was supposed to be over two days - one day for packing and one day for loading. Instead, they brought in a huge team of nearly 20 guys and did the packing and load out in one day. As a result the packing was very poorly managed. One box in 20 actually had a reasonable description of its location in the house and the contents inside. When the movers arrived at our house in Atlanta and began unloading the truck, we had no idea where anything should go because the boxes weren't properly labeled. As a result, we had to stop and open every single box before we could indicate where it should go. Furniture and been disassembled and we were told that everything would be reassembled properly on site - in fact, almost nothing was reassembled, and what was, was done improperly and had to be redone by a local handyman. I contacted them at the time and told them that we were looking at a very long unpacking period and that there would be costs involved - they told me no problem, they would reimburse us once I made a claim and to take our time. While there was very little breakage or damage to our things, it took us over three months to actually finish unpacking to check for damage and to finish fixing the furniture that had been improperly assembled. When I contacted Cross Country by email to request reimbursement for our costs in reassembling the furniture, they did not respond, other than by indicating to me by email that the "claim period" had passed. I never got any notice from them that if I didn't submit my claim by a certain date then they would not reimburse. I would never use this company again and I would strongly recommend that anyone considering a complex move use a more established mover.

The crews relocated our stuff within the states this past weekend . great communication , wonderful packing of fragile items , and they moved us very in a fast manner . i cannot recommend these guys enough .

We hired their moving specialists a few years ago, and they're amazingly accommodating. Very professional and organized; fast to get an estimate and book a moving appointment; and guys are so quick and thorough. I'm booking them again for my upcoming move in a couple of weeks.

They were: 1) very dynamic and fast in setting up the moving process. All the guys needed from us was a checklist of what we're moving. Easy in communicating as well. 2) Very quick and professional. Moved 25 boxes and a 1 bedroom apartment full of furniture in 14 days (it was a long distance move). 3) very efficient. They helped to disassembled and then to put back together some furniture pieces for our move. Every piece was perfectly wrapped and covered with blankets. Our packers protected the stuff as it was needed. All our items, including unwieldy and fragile bulky items, came in a good condition.

They are expert in handling any kind of move. I never feel bother for the price. Their rate is always low. Comparing with other movers they give me high efficient service with great price at standard delivery window. I always appreciate this team’s work.

They relocated our furniture and a ton of boxes, including our fragile items and everything was intact and in good condition, when we were unpacking. I would use their moving service again for any move and plan to recommend to all my friends and family.

They also offered a very good rate. Movers managed to fit everything in the truck which was really nice. They disassembled our glass furnishings and reassembled them at the new location. Overall, I would definitely recommend them for any local move in our area.

We were moving on the very hot and humid day of the year, but this fact didn't effect the quality and speed of the working process. They are a very nice workers, they actually did a great job while explaining everything in details, providing extra supplies (wardrobe boxes, tape, blankets), and wrapping with care and in a very professional manner. So, no got one item got scratched during the transportation. The crew came on time, were very efficient and helpful.

They provided me some good advice about necessary steps to move. They sent four persons along with a supervisor. They were all fast and well trained. Their van was large enough to accommodate our all stuff. Every item was wrapped in more than one layer with their moving blanket. All furniture was returned to us at delivery period with okay condition.

If you want to be rid of any headache while moving, use these movers. Once I had a big move within the state, and I?ve got a great chance to fully realize it. The movers who arrived were very friendly and accommodating with additional requests. The guys packed everything and loaded in just a few hours. Great work, amazing moving service and no extra charges.

I’m very nervous about any moving, especially if it’s my own move. When there was a need to move for me, I decided to hire professionals. Unfortunately, today we have so many movers, that I was a little bit confused. Finally, I found these guys. And now I highly recommend them to everyone who is planning any big move. I found this company after asking for movers on a mover search web page. These guys are always courteous and polite. They work efficiently and quickly. They wrapped all my furniture and moved me out of a 3rd story apartment in Atlanta and into my new house in the new town in IL very quickly. I did not have them pack my stuff very hard, but they got all my furniture to my new house in perfect condition, both the items and the walls. Cross country movers is really great about getting back to you when you try to reach him and he will follow up with a reminder the day before. His men have been on time both times I have used them. They will recommend you the proper number of guys to send if you tell him what you are moving and they are really reasonably priced. I know I said it before, but they are very efficient and quick. You can really tell they're not just trying to drag out the time, which has happened to me with a couple of other companies. I hate moving, but I am really glad that I found cross country movers company, they have been a dream to work with and have made my move as easy as possible. I will recommend these guys to anyone looking for a mover. Thanks cross country!

Anyway, Charles was the lead mover on my crew and the guy he had with him (I feel bad, but I can't remember his name) were both polite and professional. The whole move, including about 4 hours of travel time, only took 10 hours. For one person, I had quite a bit of furniture and probably way too many boxes. I was thoroughly impressed with their moving skills, especially after my boyfriend's move (with a different moving company) a few weeks prior took alot longer when he had substantially less furniture and belongings to move than I did. When they got to my location I had no damage whatsoever to any of my belongings, no busted boxes, no broken contents of boxes and no scuffs, scrapes or dirty marks of any kind on any of my furniture. I'm very satisfied with the serving provided. Thanks cross country movers!

I cannot express enough how quick, timely, efficient, careful, and strategic the guys were! At very short notice, I contacted Cross Country Movers and they were able to make time for me the very next morning. They were prompt, polite, handled my things with care, and we're as speedy as can be. I was really hesitant about spending money on movers when you can just do it yourself with a private a crew and a U-Haul, but these guys were so great--the money was very well spent. The whole team work incredibly hard and it is amazing how quickly they can empty (and pack) a house! I thank them for always keeping me posted and answering all my queries promptly. Another perk, they handle everything via email which is wonderful for busy ATL folk who don't want to waste time sitting on the phone. Don't bother with any other moving company.
