I have never had a problem. I have never had to call their Customer Service. I'm very satisfied. I chose them because it's a more progressive telephone company. It gives a percentage of what I pay them to progressive causes that I believe in such as nature conservancies. Every year, you're given ballots to select where your money will go. You can choose one or all. The money is portioned out to those select companies.

The only reason I switched to Credo Mobile was political reasons; they don't support the Republicans. They are adequate and their phone selections aren't that great, it was on principal thing that I went with them rather than anything else. I would say that if you don't want to directly or indirectly support the Republican party or their causes, then Credo is the best option. Credo Mobile is not the best phone service in the world, but they support the causes that I believe in.

I've been using their services for two years and so far I never had any problem with them. They were very organized with their billing and it is easy to deal with them whether on the phone or online. The amazing thing about them is, they give donations to certain progressive organizations that handle people who are in need. And I am happy to know that part of my billing with them goes to those organizations. Somehow I felt that part of me was able to reach out to the needy.

My bill has ben consistently $125 per month for two cell phones. They are a non-profit company that donates their money to saving whales, environmental causes, and political parties. They use sprint lines. Everything you need to do is either through the phone or website. They do have contracts, the only thing extra I have to pay for is the internet. You can see all their causes online. They are very friendly and know what they are doing.

They invest their process in socially responsible investments. I have 3 users, as well as the text packages. They are competitive with other large companies, in the phones that they offer. We switched to them, based on their practices. There was one feature that my wife and I did not know how to use a feature. They were very responsive with that issue.

I don't like that they do not have stores in my area. I am not computer savvy and would prefer to get help in person rather than on the internet. I am finding it very difficult to transfer contacts from my old phone to new phone. I am thinking about canceling my service and switching to a company with more local stores.

They use a split network and they are very good. They contribute to many organizations. They send out periodic surveys and I know exactly where my money is going. Their service is very good and the price is very reasonable. The texting is really cheap. You can get someone on phone very quickly instead going through an automated system.

Description of Work: I was shocked to see such a bad review for CREDO. I've been a customer of theirs for about 4 years and have NEVER had a problem in any way. When I have called with a question the phone is almost immediately answered by a live person who is always courteous and helpful. No nasty menus to negotiate. Never a problem with errors on my bill. No dropped calls, No interference with any calls. I love Credo and wouldn't consider switching. As an added bonus, Credo supports the liberal causes I believe in, having contributed $67 million dollars of pretax profits to these causes. They also send notices to me via email about any actions needed to oppose things such as the XL Keystone pipeline which will be devastating to our environment and to our water supply. CHEERS TO CREDO! P.S. I'M A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER.

I do like that they take a percentage of profits each year and give it to really good causes. But they are limited as to the phones they can get. I've had six phones die on me in two years with them. When I've had three phones all of the same kind and I'm not allowed to switch models, there is a problem. At that point you're stuck, and the only option is to upgrade to a data bundle. When I was transferred to their escalation department, the line disconnected and they didn't even call me back. Once, a supervisor didn't take the proper notes, and this caused a lot of problems. My lowest average call to them was 45 minutes, but some had been two to three hours. I had trouble when I was changing things in the calendar (it would say Can't Insert this Exception) and they told me that it was using too much memory. It would tell me I had voicemails when I didn't, and when I did have them sometimes it got stuck. I've sat on hold many times as well. The sales department sells like nothing else but a lot of times the people backing it up are not very experienced and there doesn't seem to be much cohesion. The representatives on the phone are not supplied with the model of phone you have, which makes it difficult. Their professionalism depends on who you talk to. I would not recommend them to anyone. Buyer before if you don't want to have problems with your phone or spend hours with the company on the phone.

We have since discovered many websites w/ similar-to-almost-identical horror stories. Credo representatives will listen to and apparently agree with the customers’ complaints/concerns, and then the same errors will occur, or C will send the customers to collections. Some people have contacted the collection agencies, and been told that Credo is “a real problem” but they (collections) are bound by their contract to follow through w/ Credo’s complaints. We are aware that we may have to pay some charges that were accumulated between 4/21/09 (last date of service on the present bill), and 5/21/09 (the date thru which we paid our agreed-upon service fees). However, we do not intend to pay Credo for any other “charge”, and want to be DONE with them asap. We have already portaged our phone number and service back to Verizon (activated 5/07/09), and our daughter will do the same when we take her phone to her this coming weekend. So, our service with Credo should be over by 5/18/09. My husband will email the phone bill to your offices today (5/12/09).
Description of Work: We signed up for Credo mobile phone service on 3/22/2009. During the sign-up conversation, we asked about roaming charges; texting charges; and charges between two different phone services. We were assured that all those services would be free. We also signed up for 700 “anytime” minutes (to be shared w/ our daughter’s phone on the same account), and “unlimited” night/weekend minutes. We were also told that the phones were free, and if they were returned w/in 30 days, there would be no charge. However, after that, then each phone would cost $175.00 if we cancelled service. We did not ask about being charged for RECEIVING calls or making/receiving TOLL-FREE calls. Those two issues were not even on our minds, for the simple reason that we had never heard of such things before. At no time did the Credo staff mention that there might be charges we had not anticipated. We were told that we would be charged service fees for the first two months on our initial bill, and since we thought we had agreed to a total fee of approximately $85.00/month, we agreed to that stipulation. We received our first bill on 5/02/2009, and were outraged to see a charge of $424.53. I spent many hours over two days deciphering the 14-page bill, and discovered that included was a fee of $191.35 for the above-mentioned “received” and “toll-free” calls. I also discovered that we used only 572 of our 700 “prime” minutes, and Credo had included 16 “unlimited” minutes in their computations of the total time. We were being charged for 1,518 minutes of usage. I called Credo on 5/40/2009, and spoke w/ Deanna (no last name) Ext:2242, who identified herself as a supervisor. I told her that we intended to drop our contract with Credo immediately, and would be sending them a check for $233.18, since this covered the initial charges to which we agreed. I also told her we would not be paying the $191.35, as this was for charges that were never discussed when we signed up for service. I asked for an address to which we could return the phones; it was given. Deanna then stated that we would owe the late fee for the second phone, as it had passed the 30-day limit. This was after Verizon told us that that number had not been portaged from them to Credo until 4/22/09, and portage-date is considered the beginning of service. We are working w/ V to obtain that info, and will send it on to you.

They have been pretty good and responsive. As far as the service its neither here nor there. The phone has not worked very well, and I've called them twice about it. I think Credo is very simple, and the website is very easy to understand, its not overwhelming like some companies. As far as the clarity of the audio its great, its just that we picked some phones that aren't working quite so well. Rather than that, we like it and I think we will stay with them a while. It's not as cheap as we thought it would be, but we like them.
Description of Work: I've been with this provider for probably 5 months. They give a percentage of their profits to charity. My main reason for moving is becuase we were really fed up with another wireless provider. We also liked the fact that they are socially active.

I pay 1200 dollars per year. They are great at customer service. They don't rush me off the phone and they like to make sure they answer our questions. There was a few billing issues and that they provided refunds. They allow a phone call to a representative. They donate there money to nonprofit organizations and charities. There is a coupon for a free pint of Ben'n'Jerry's quit often throughout the month.
