 + 0 moreJulio has been my go-to handy-man for over a year now. All of his work has always been high quality, and he's very friendly and responsive. For this project, we had him install and paint crown moulding in two rooms. Wow! What a difference it made. The finished work is absolutely beautiful and looks flawless. It was a great way to an old home look new again. I couldn't recommend Julio more.

 + 2 moreIf there as a higher score than 'A' +++ that's what we would have picked. Words can not describe how happy we are with the outcome...Julio and his assistant were prompt, professional and focused all day...for two days. Our walls weren't straight and had tons of patching due to the complete remodeling (new layout) of our kitchen renovation. The tile layout was a bit of a challenge, we were missing chair rails and the two tone paint needed to be matched with two adjoining rooms. Their finishing work was impeccable! Our is fabulous...the show piece of our house. We love their work so much, we've referred them to two other friends (who are also now fans)...And we're about to call on Julio to help us with a new project.
Description of Work: Kitchen Wall and Ceiling repairs (from remodel) , tile back splash installation, reproducing/matching chair rail, repainting and matching with adjacent rooms.

Description of Work: Julio did several odd jobs around my condo: Patched drywall, installed new kitchen sink hardware, installed a new medicine cabinet in the bathroom and painted the bathroom.

 + 1 moreWe bought a new house and had a few big changes to make. Julio was recommended to us by a colleague. Firstly, he speaks English very well and when he comes for consultation and to view the existing structure, he really listens to your vision, questions, and concerns. He has a lot of experience and can advise on what's common, traditional, modern, easy, difficult, costly or inexpensive. He has lots of work photos on his phone to give you examples when planning. In our experience, he estimates the project on the spot or, takes a few days to price different materials (that you have requested, such as different wood options, lighting options, etc.) and returns with options by phone, email or in person. He begins the project when convenient for you, and he has brought assistants in the past. He works efficiently and calls with any questions to make sure the work is done right. He is a craftsman--he wants it to look good. He stuck to his pricing and time frame. We did have an increased cost when a surprise from the previous owner surfaced, but he gave us options and we proceeded. He was also very sweet to our dog.

 + -1 moreMr. Barrios arrived on time for our initial consultation for the painting and craft room. We discussed the projects and we finalized the design and paint colors, over the course of about two weeks. Construction was initiated and completed within a 30 day time period. I paid for all supplies and Mr. Barrios was very judicious in his use of all construction materials, saving me many extra trips to my local paint and big box stores as well as money. Any design changes that he had for the projects were also beforehand. Mr. Barrios was very receptive to my ideas and I also loved his ideas for the projects. Mr. Barrios was a joy to work with and a real true artisan when it comes to finish carpentry and drywall. I plan to use him for several other projects in my home.
Description of Work: Mr. Barrios converted a room over my garage to a craft room. The project included design, drywall, minor electrical work, cabinet and bookshelf design/installation and painting. Mr. Barrios also painted the living room, hallway and foyer which high ceilings and lots of trim work. The final project was the installation of moldings to three columns in the living room.

 + 6 moreJulio is amazing and his quality of work is second to none. He has great communication skills and listens well. He exceeded my expectations!
Description of Work: Julio painted the outside of my home and two-car garage. He replaced boards that were rotten and fixed soffit that was falling down. He took off old wires that were hanging all over the outside of my home and rerouted or got rid of old ones. He made the outside of our home go from junky to elegant. He installed a new back door and was able to reuse the trim to save me money. He also had to do a tile repair by the back door and reinstall the alarm components. He made a new 20-foot long by 8-foot high fence that was rotted and had fallen down. He also took out nails and installed exterior wood screws on the rest of my fence; the boards were coming lose, but now they are in place to stay. He installed new locks on the doors. He fixed some broken closet organizer shelf components and patched dry wall and painted I side as well. When I was cutti g down the ivy that had grow. On the side of my home, he stopped and helped me. He also power washed my house to get all the leftover ivy and debris off of it. He replaced all the shower components and faucets as well. Julio performed many jobs at my home and exceeded my expectations. He is an honest, talented, reliable, highly skilled, and ethical contractor that can do it all in a timely and excellent manner. I highly recommend Julio for any job big or small!
