Description of Work: Dan Gross provided excellent consultation on heating and cooling repair done by another company -- we very much appreciated everything about the service. Delightful person to work with!

Description of Work: Our air conditioner died over the weekend; I called Dekalb CARE Monday morning and Dan came that afternoon. He quickly discovered the problem and fixed it (a damaged/frayed section of the outside control wire). We had anticipated having to buy a whole new system, so of course, were thrilled with his diagnosis and price! But, even better than that, we discovered an honest, hard-working service provider that we will rely on for all our future AC and heating needs.

Description of Work: When my 30 year old AC finally bit the dust (in the middle of the summer), Dan from DeKalb CARE was able to explain exactly what I needed to get cool again. We were able to come up with a solution that fit my budget and I didn't have to worry if I was being up-sold or charged for something I didn't need. Dan and his crew worked quickly to remove the old AC and get the new one up and running in the same day. They finished up the next day and cleaned up, leaving the area cleaner than they had found it. For honest, reliable and affordable AC repair and replacement I'd tell my friends to use DeKalb CARE.

Description of Work: I had a Lenox air conditioner and coil installed as a replacement for a 14 year old unit. Dan came right out to look over the job and provided a very detailed estimate for everything-which resulted in no surprises.. The estimate came in line with others I received, so based on my past experience with Dan (which has always been excellent) scheduled the work. Dan showed up on time, went right to work and removed the old unit and completed the installation of the new unit. Old parts were removed and the area around the new unit, cleaned up and left in great shape. I have used DeKalb CARE for several years and will continue to do so. Dan is a very nice, professional and honest person to do business with. I highly recommend him to everyone!

Description of Work: Heating unit service. Dan pointed out things that should be addressed supplying it in a priority list of what needed to be done soon and items that could wait. I have used Dan at Dekalb Care for several years finding him detailed oriented and a pleasure to do business with.

Description of Work: Honesty, reliability and craftsmanship. These are qualities I hope for when I seek someone for service. Dan Goss epitomizes all three. I first called on Mr. Goss about three years ago knowing my A/C was on its last legs. He babied it until he could do no more and the compressor failed. Since he was backed up and couldn't t do the new install for a week, although he always came out the same day for other service, he made sound recommendations for alternative HVAC companies, foregoing the sale for himself. He didn t even charge me for his last visit after charging only $80.00 during his last effort at resuscitation. He seemed genuinely disappointed he couldn't t help me limp through the remainder of the summer. I highly recommend Mr. Goss to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, honest HVAC expert.

Description of Work: Twice each year Messrs. Dan Goss and Valery Livitin of DeKalb CARE HVAC provide preventive maintenance for my system.

Description of Work: The representative checked the cooling system to determine why it was not producing cooler air in the upstairs of my residence. He immediately went to the "first" potential source of the problem - the filtration system located in the attic, which I did not know existed. After changing the filter, he then checked the the outdoor condenser coils, cleaned them and added refrigerant. It was terrible hot on the day he provided the services, but he stayed outside as long as was need to complete the job.

Description of Work: Dekalb CARE replaced my furnace and evaporator coil, put an overflow pan beneath the furnace, added a new return air box, and vent pipe.
