Description of Work: Estimate and scheduling easy. Car went in first thing in the morning and was ready by 5:00. This is the second time we used Catherine's for a major routine maintenance on an older car and all went well.

Description of Work: had a check engine light on for quite awhile. wouldn't go away. I was so scared it might be something outrageous and expensive. terrified of being swindled by a shady mechanic. jesse was very down to earth, listened well, communicated well, answered all my questions. problem turned out to be easy to find, fix, and affordable. they cut the 1 hr diagnostic fee in half to be fair. let me know the price of parts and labor beforehand. Catherine can be found on the premises, and her crew of mechanics seems to be a very good team, very friendly. they did the diagnostic, replaced a boot near the air filter, changed my oil, fluids, cleared the check engine light, and took my car to down the road to get the emission test done (only charged me the $25 test fee) for around $200. I was so happy, I had them add new tires, front end alignment, and new wiper blades. Ordered parts come in quick. I definitely wasn't fleeced. I definitely got great service, and my car is definitely in great shape now. The drive feels much better. I will use them again, for sure.

Description of Work: They found the same problem Ed Voyles did (leaking gasket cover), and did the repairs plus a tune-up for 1/4 of what Ed Voyles had quoted ($833 vs. $3,400). They have my business and my loyalty for as long as I live in this city.

They were courteous and carefully explained everything to me before doing the work. I also really liked the print out that they give you listing (in language I could understand :)) every little thing they did along with the cost break down. I would go to them again in a heartbeat. Excellent service for a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: The guys at Catherine's Auto replaced an ignition coil and all of the spark plugs on our 1997 Ford Expedition. We had just shipped our car after being overseas for several years and the ''engine light'' was lit up. They ran the diagnostic, discovered the problem, pointed out a few other things that needed to be attended to (a recall on the cruise control system and that a valve that controlled the ABS had been disconnected for some reason). They also changed the oil and the oil filter and checked everything out so that we would have a safe drive to Virginia.

 + -1 moreMy experience was great. The cost was slightly (less than $50) above the estimate. But since I live so close, I was given a lift to and from (saving me the cost of a rental). The biggest downside for me was that they had to keep the car overnight. But, I was pleased overall, and my car is running great! I would definitely use Catherine's again and recommend them to others.
Description of Work: 90,000 mile checklist (extensive) New timing belt. Fixed oil leak botched by a different garage.

THEY TOOK GOOD CARE AND FOUND SEVERAL THINGS THAT NEEDED ATTENTION. ONLY COMPLAINT WOULD BE THAT IT WAS FIXED FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND THEY HADN'T CALLED TO TELL ME. BUT I ADMIT I HAD SAID ''TAKE YOUR TIME'' BECAUSE I HAD ANOTHER VEHICLE AS A DAILY DRIVER.
