My experience with them was excellent as usual. They are there when they say they will be there. They do the work you ask them to and they find extra things that you may not have noticed that need to be done. They do it for the price they say they will and finish when they say they will be done. They deliver.

Found them from this site and was very, very pleased. Watched how handled other customers and was impressed. Work done was right on and will only go to them for now on. Just a heads up, they are quite busy (which, I would say isn't a bad thing!), so for any kind of service, even oil change, make an appointment!

I was very happy with the services and thought the prices were reasonable. They were competent and friendly. They were very knowledgeable. They will explain everything to you in detail. They don't rush you or pressure you. Everything that I have seen is positive. They are incredible.

Other than the price, it was painless. Joynette was my service representative. She took my initial call and was courteous and responsive. When I showed up she gave me a print out of the optional and recommended services for the 90,000 mile check-up. She took time to answer my questions and help me make an informed decision about the work to which I would commit. She stayed in touch with me via phone and was pleasant and professional. I felt that the service was performed in a remarkably short period of time. When I picked up the car, I knew that it had been well road tested for the problems we had discussed. Although it was a ton of money, I drove away confident in my ride for its next 90,000 miles. The shop is small enough that you feel the personal touch. I have never met the owner, Catherine, but her employees seem to respect her for the high-quality work which she demands. I know I do. I like smart women talking to smart women about cars. It is nice not to want to drive over the feet of a male rep who is either patronizing or condescending. When my father handed me my first ignition key, he also gave me a timing light if that tells you anything. Thank you Catherine for having such a great shop right around the corner from where I live!!

Initially, I made an appointment to checkout why my check engine light was on. The light went off a couple of days before the appointment. In any event, I had some other items for them to look at. Without giving them too many details, they found the items I had concerns with and provided specific details for each, Problem, fix, cost etc. It has been a couple of weeks and I feel the work performed was very good. My truck is running better with the repairs and feels safer. Their parts cost was good however the bulk of the bill was for labor. I estimate their labor cost is some where around $40 - $45 an hour compared to the dealership which is around $60. The value and service was very good and that will bring me back as long as both remain very good. They also drove me to the station and picked me up which was a very good courtesy.

Outstanding. They were able to fix the car in one day, despite the fact I had no appointment. They gave me a ride the next morning when I picked up the car (about a $20 cab fare right there). They were very polite, communicative and professional.

They did a complete diagnostics test and all I ended up needing was an oil change and a new radiator cap. Most places would have taken advantage of me but they were so honest. They do quality work.

Catherine's Auto Repair is a certified and excellent auto repair shop. They are prompt and do excellent work. The people are pleasant and courteous and act in a very professional manner. I'm satisfied that this is an honest auto service.

Catherine's Auto Repair gets all top grades from me. They are priced very competitively and do excellent mechanical work. I have a lot of faith in this repair shop and I do trust them. They don't try to get away with unnecessary extra work.

We have always had good luck with this auto service. They are prompt and reliable. If you have a question, you can get a straight answer. I feel comfortable taking our vehicle there.

Honestly, I feel that I gave them the ultimate problem. It was a very difficult thing to figure out. I ended up spending a lot of money and still the problem was not found. I was going to ask them to just stop charging me. I still seem to feel that they are pretty honest because I know that Chrysler's tend to have these problems. Anyway, they called me yesterday and they were very apologetic about the whole thing. They ended finding a bundle of wires that were shorting out so they replaced them. I went in and test drove the car and to discuss a refund. The owner was actually the one that called me to settle. So, I guess in the end it all turned out to be good.

The mechanics have worked at Catherine's for years so I am very comfortable with them and trust them explicitly. They are practical, organized and on top of their game. I can trust they will always be up front with me about what is wrong and they always give me all the information I need to make an intelligent decision regarding my car's care.

I've been taking my cars to Catherine's on Northside for over a year and have been extremely pleased with each experience. They are always courteous, prompt (particularly on the 30-minute oil changes that you can schedule via internet - wonderful idea) and responsive. Whenever I dropped my older car there for maintenance, they always called soon after with a clearly detailed explanation of what was wrong and what my options were to fix it--without ever talking down to me or pressuring me into a decision like so many other auto shops would. When I bought my new car, I decided to never take it anywhere else (despite monthly pleading from the dealership) because I value the respect shown by all of Catherine's staff to both me and vehicles. I was afraid the "female friendly" aspect would turn out to be marketing scheme but it's 100% true and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I brought my car into the shop explaining that there was a problem with the alternator. The mechanics call me fou hours later to tell me that there is nothing wrong with my car. "Uhh...your battery had some corrosion on it so we put some anti-corrosion fluid on it and cleaned it off." I was charged $41. It died when I got home, so I called and they told me to bring it back in. The second time they looked at the car, they found that there was a problem with the battery, so they replaced it. I repeatedly asked them to also look at the alternator. Their response was, "It's the battery and we've replaced it. You should be fine." That was $75. Two days later, after running down the battery because of a bad alternator, the car was dead AGAIN, so I brought it back into the shop. They said the car had "tricked them" and they replaced the alternator. We haggled over price as they tried to charge me well above cost. It was $300. Its a YEAR later and just had to replace the battery AGAIN.

Very professional job. Truck ran great after done and was ready when promised. Price was in line with other reputable shops. I definitely would use them again.

Dropped my Jeep off on a Sunday night using the key drop. I was thrilled to receive a call Monday morning from Jerry providing estimate for the services (vehicle had already been inspected) and saying they thought all work could be finished the same-day. Initial estimate for front brakes and fuse/bulb diagnosis was a little bit high, but Jerry called back later to report that both of those repairs came in lower than original estimate. As part of 60k service they tested the battery (not part dealership 60k servicing) and found it was not holding a charge. Glad to have it replaced before dying and stranding us. Total cost for all work was about $100 less than original estimate, and they did an excellent job. There was one issue with a mis-adjustment that required returning the Jeep the next day. Jerry was very apologetic and offered me a complimentary rental car. I thought that demonstrated their integrity and commitment to doing the job right and treating customers fairly.

They told me that I couldn't just replace the one strut, I had to replace both..and after replacing struts they always do a front end alignment. Cost quoted was nearly $650. I was also told that the front brake pads would cost between $175 and $225. Perhaps a little less for labor if I did both at the same time. I immediately called my Honda dealer who said that needing a new strut with that many miles is highly unusual. I went to the dealer a couple of days later. I did need to have the left one replaced ($268), but was told with less than 30,000 miles on the car I certainly didn't need to replace the other one....and a front end alignment after replacing struts is not routine and I didn't need that. They also said my front brake pads were a little over 4mm (not 3mm) and I didn't need to replace them for at least another few thousand miles (as little as we drive this car that will be at least 6 months. Price for brakes quoted by dealer $150 (not $175-225).

Everything went very well. Work was performed with good quality in a timely manner at a reasonable price.

I originally found Catherine's on Angie's list, and was pleased I spent the time to find this company. The service from the very beginning was professional, cordial and quality. I dropped my vehicle off in the morning, was called by 11:00AM with the diagnosis and cost of repair. I received a call at 5:00 to let me know it was ready to pick-up. I had an original estimate performed at a Nissan dealership, and not only did they quote outrageous prices, but tried to throw in a number of extra items. Nissan also charged a $90 diagnosis fee, where Catherine's did not. I can't say enough good things about this organization. A friend also has referred me to them in the past, which I had forgotten at the time of my research. I shared my great experience with her, and was reminded that Catherine's was where she originally suggested I go. Keep up the good work guys! You will have my business for life, and will direct all friends to do the same. Thanks!

I purchased new tires three weeks ago. I struck a man hole in a road work area and thought I tore off the passenger tires. The display indicated that the air bag needed to be serviced. I've never heard of that before. The car vibrated at freeway speeds. The hand brake did not engage. Based on my tire experience, I took the car back. They dropped me off at work, picked me up after work, and the car was fully repaired. It rides like a dream and did not need suspension work, only a tire rebalance, which was covered under the warranty. Despite the appearance of cramped quarters, everyone is positive, considerate, and skilled. It was an outstanding experience.

This is a difficult problem. I ended up going on the web myself to see if we could get additional insight into why we were getting 2-3 error codes that did not relate to each other. I bought my own scanner and reset the engine light and got my emission sticker without resolving the cause of the problem. At this time we have spend about $400 and have not fixed the problem. They have offered to continue to look for the problem at no cost. I guess I will take them up on their offer.

Very honest, professional and respectful employees. When your check engine light is on, a mechanic can certainly exaggerate to make a buck - but they don't do that at Catherine's. Their great reputation is well deserved!

This company was recommended by family members. The place stays very busy but if you call and make an appointment, they'll work on your car when they're supposed to. They found my pesky electrical problem and did it for a fare price. I would recommend them to others.

They were very pleasant and reasonably priced and had good suggestions for taking care of my car.

I had my car towed there by AAA and they were able to do all the initial paperwork by phone. They were very prompt and explained all the work they were doing as they were doing it. They finished the work a day earlier than I expected and the total cost was the same as the estimate I received. They also called with updates periodically. I would definitely go back and suggest that my friends and family go there.
