I have no review because the provider never responded to my request. I found someone else through my own research and not through Angie’s List.

Excellently. On time, quick response, came early the next day (some others would have taken a week and I had a fridge full of food!), and very reasonable price. Professional and pleasant.
Description of Work: Fridge stopped being cold, freezer was ok. They determined it was the fridge fan that pulls up cold air from the freezer.

It remains to be seen if this tightening actually repaired the leak from the original installation. I called Castleberry's office and spoke to James to for a claims adjuster be sent out to examine the damage to the cabinet next to the neglegently installed leaking water valve? James informed me that since it was damage to my property, that was my problem not Castleberry's. He insisted that I should file with our homeowners insurance company. I pointed out that the damage was due to the negligent installation of the water valve on 5/15. I asked why they were refusing to stand behind their work. James replied that I could read the terms and conditions on the back of the service order. Castleberry's did not supply me with a hard copy of the service order only an electronic copy of the front of the service order. Regardless. Let's be crystal clear. The water valve never leaked but needed to be replaced. Castleberry's replaced the water valve and failed to install it correctly resulting in a slow drip that was only discovered as the cabinet was damaged and the leak became worse. The second repairman / responding to the warranty call found the leak and stated that the line had not been tightened correctly. He tightened the line. The cabinet was damaged by a leak resulting from the negligent installation on 5/15. To add insult to injury they damaged the cabinet again by slamming the corner of the refrigerator into the cabinet door and frame when pushing back in place. According to James this is all my problem not theirs. I would not use them again. All I asked was that they make a claim on their insurance for the damage caused by their negligence.
Description of Work: On 5/10/2014, I contacted Castleberry's Appliance to perform a repair on the water valve for an ice maker on a GE profile refrigerator. Clearly explaining the model number etc. On 5/12/2014 Jason came out and diagnosed the same thing I already told them, then scheduled time to replace in couple of days after getting part. 5/15/2014 came back to do repair scheduled for 5/12. Water valve began a slow leak where supply line attached. Castleberry's tech found supply line installed too loosely. He tightened it.

My dryer had started squealing really loud to the point where I couldn't take it anymore. I contacted Castleberry's from the Home Reports Quality Home Services Guide yesterday and they were able to send someone out this morning. Jason called to let me know when he would be arriving. He arrived when he said he would, was polite and pointed out what was wrong with my dryer. Luckily he brought some parts with him and fixed it right on the spot! He was very quick and cleaned up after himself. I was very please with the fast response and fast service.

The provider was accomodating with scheduling the date/time of my service and pretty professional on the phone. The technician arrived on time; however, didn't seem to be in the most friendly of moods. Not that I'm seeking a long drawn out conversation, but the standard introduction and courtesies are expected. I proceeded to be pleasant, offered some small talk, and asked a few questions about the D/W issue. I initially chaulked it up to his just having a quiet personality. And then I saw after he left....the debris he cleaned from the D/W drain with MY papertowels was left thrown in my kitchen sink (the trashcan was inches away). Disgusting!! That's when I decided to write this review. I will say his service was fast and seemed to take care of the problem, but the process in its' entirety could have used some improvement.

We are hair salon, and cannot live without our washing machine. Apparently they heard the panic in my voice as I could not get anyone to come out for four days. Castleberry's sent a repairman within two hours and saved the day. I cannot thank them enough, They trouble shot the problem over the phone and sent Tony with the parts for the repair. Washer works great! Would definately recommend and use them again. Thanks again.

We were pretty sure we would need a new dryer and would be unable to use or buy till after Thanksgiving weekend. However, Elijah from Castleberry's was willing to come out afternoon on day before Thanksgiving. Fixed baffle and diagnosed noises as worn drive belt and rollers. He had all the parts needed and was done in about half an hour. After 'tune up' dryer runs like new. Saved us several hundred bucks at least. Dryer was 10 year old Maytag Neptune, no longer made and would be expensive to replace. Very well pleased! Castleberry's is our go to for appliance repair and has been for some years now.

Castleberrys must not want my business! 1. WEDS) I called to make an appt for an ice maker repair. No answer, had to leave a message. 2. THURS) Someone called me back,, and we scheduled an appt for the day after that. 3. FRI) Around midday I got a voicemail on one of the 2 phone #'s I gave them, saying the serviceman was ready to come out. 4. When I called the serviceman back, there was no answer. Left a message that I was home and waiting. Never heard back. 5. End of day - no serviceman, no call, no repair, no call back... 6. MON) After the weekend, giving them benefit of the doubt, I called again (they didn't call me), to reschedule. 7. TUES) On day of expected repair, I was told to expect contact around noon. 8. At 1:30 I called, and woman told me and quot;maybe the repairman might not have your number.and quot; I gave it again (3rd time.) 9. At 2:30 I called again. Yet another employee said and quot;maybe the serviceman hadn't called because he was busy, and would call eventually.and quot; 10. End of day - no serviceman, no call, no repair, no call back... AGAIN. So 6 days after the original call, I'm calling someone else. Like I said, they must not want my business!

I had ordered all the needed parts and needed someone to install them. HIred them because they seemed to know Jenn-Air appliances. The technician arrived promptly. He was not exactly personable, but he did know what he was doing and installed the parts. However he would not honor the 10% Angies list discount. He told me he took and quot;a little off the service chargeand quot; but he didn't. They charge a $55. service charge. Plus they get $80/hr, prorated every 15 minutes. He was here for approx 1-1/2 hours - which is $120., plus the service charge is $175. I called the company to discuss, the gentleman I spoke with told me he didn't have the paperwork in front of him and he would call me on Monday. Seems they should honor an advertised discount. Would not hire again,. I realize this is a small amount - however they should have honored this discount, they themselves advertise.

So Far... Terrible. Ill let you know if they get it resolved and replaced
Description of Work: Wanted to buy from a mom and pop business because I own one also. Kitchen Aid Superba Dishwasher. In 2 mos the brain went out and in 4 mos the pump blew off the waterline and flooded my basement. I like Castleberrys and have used them befor for new products, but I will tell you their new product replacement resoulution sucks. Kitchen Aid drags their feet and Castleberrys makes excuses. Had I bought it from Lowes, one phone call and they would have gooten me a new unit... NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. Be Forwarned. Tony Meadows Suwanee, GA

Appointment promptly made. Punctual arrival. The technician found one detached hose, easily reattached. Also said to keep the old Maytag washer/dryer as long as possible as the newer versions cost only $200 each but are intended to last only a few years. I was happy to pay the $95 service call - it surely costs that much to send a technician, especially one who did not try to "up sell" or "scare" me in any way.

The staff was extremely helpful and patient during our numerous visits. The installer came out and gave us an estimate for installing the stove (it involved moving cabinets and gas hook-ups) and they subtracted the service call amount from the total. Their price for the range and installation was less than price the Big Box retailers quoted. The installer arrived on time, cleaned up after himself and came back the next day to answer a concern. We were very happy with the service.
Description of Work: We had a repairman look at our old oven which would have been expensive to fix. After three visits to Castleberry's we settled on a new product and they installed it. We looked at several other stores and didn't find the staff to be as helpful and knowledgeable as at Castleberry's.

Our refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. I called Castleberry and they scheduled a visit for the next day. The repair man (Ricky) was prompt, professional and curtious. He identified the problem, took the time to show me the issue and then helped me determine if the part was under warranty or not. Turns out it was so he suggested I call KitchenAid directly to order the part so I would not have to incur any cost and would probably be able to get it faster than if he ordered it. He was right, KitchenAid delivered it in 2 days. Ricky followed up with me twice to determine the best time to come out and put in the new parts - he kept his schedule open on a Friday afternoon so we would not have to go all weekend without a fridge. Again he showed up right on schedule, was able to repair the fridge and his price came in right where he had estimated it would. Overall, a very good experience.

The baking element in the built-in oven in my mother's kitchen quit working about a week before I placed the service call to Castleberry. Having some basic electrical knowledge, I decided to see if I could determine the problem and see if I could safely do the repair. I eventually found a wire that had come off a terminal on the oven timer. I replaced the wire, the oven would come on, but we found that it was not heating correctly. I placed a call to Castleberry's late Thursday afternoon and they gave me an appointment for the next morning. I was very pleasantly surprised to get an appointment that quick without having to request expedited or emergency service to get the oven working before the weekend. When I made the appointment, I was told that someone would call me the next morning between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. to set up the arrival time within a two hour window. At 9:30, as promised, the service technician called, requesting a few details about the oven and the problem we were having. He said he would call back in a few minutes after checking on a couple of things. Within a very few minutes he called back, said he was leaving his office and was on the way. The technician (Jason) arrived about 30 minutes later and promptly went to work. He was very thorough in his troubleshooting and after having to deal with some challenging symptoms, found and fixed the problem. He discovered that when I reattached the wire in the oven about a week earlier, I put the wire on the wrong terminal on the oven timer which caused a voltage problem resulting in the oven not heating sufficiently. I had purchased new elements for the oven the week before thinking that was possibly the problem which of course it was not. Due to the age of the oven, I asked the technican if he would go ahead and replace them for me while he was working on the oven which he did. I was very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of both the person that took the initial call at Castleberry, and the technician that did the repair.

dI did not use them. (see service performed above)
Description of Work: I did not use them. The receptionist told me the noise was probably just "that I have become aware of the refrigerator running." They said they did not service my area and referred me to someone outside Angie's list for service. I then went back to Angie's list and called A1 Appliance Rescue repair service, that was listed a little further away. I will submit a report on them seperately.

I would like to emphasize that I have had several good experiences with Castleberry, involving appliance purchases rather than service. I chose Castleberry for those purchases because they would give me an APPOINTMENT for delivery and installation, in contrast to other companies which provide only a window. Respect for my time is extremely important to me, and that is why I called Castleberry this time. Either their policy has changed, however, or they offer appointments (rather than windows) only for sales and not for service.
Description of Work: I called to schedule repair of my nonworking ice maker in my refrigerator. Castleberry would agree only to schedule the work for an entire day, not even giving me a time window. The procedure followed was to call during a 1-hour window in the morning of the scheduled day and then, but not until then, to specify a 2-hour window for the technician's arrival. When I received that call, the specified 2-hour window was in the middle of my work day, so I rejected it. I then called Georgia Refrigeration and had a much better experience. (See my separate review of that company.)
