I contracted Bursaw realty to do some prep work in order to rent my house. Dolan the owner of this little operation, was a complete disaster. He had crews come into my house, without appropriate supervision and perform various work. This was to include some minor patching and painting, and cleanup. What instead happened was theft and damage to my personal property and an exorbitant bill for things that were "fixed" but later turned out to in fact be broken. I had to call him on multiple occasions to request items be returned to my house. Only some made it back. In addition, his crew without authorization, ruined 8 custom made drawer-fronts by blindly pumping them full of finish nail holes. I had to have the drawer fronts and drawers re-made at significant personal cost. I estimate between damage and theft to personal property, this experience cost me well over $1000. I specifically told him to keep his crew out of my garage. Instead I had multiple things go missing from this area. Perhaps my biggest frustration is that his crew, apparently under his direction, decided to take a set of unfinished custom mahogany drawer fronts (from the garage no less!) for a bathroom vanity I had built and "install" them on the vanity using 6-8 finish nails per drawer. This entire vanity was painstakingly built (by me) and each drawer front perfectly fit to each opening. They installed all of the drawer fronts backwards, and in the wrong places. I would never in 1 million years then punch it full of holes with finish nails, and I didn't ever request for them to do this work. There were nails protruding through the inside of the drawers! They claimed to fix a leak and toilet, but neither were done. The "paint and patch" work that they did was awful, mostly not finished and not using the correct paint color (we had the paint buckets in each room!). I ended up paying them substantially less than they requested. When I emailed him to let him know my frustration his response was "Believe me, working with you was a nightmare for me as well plus it cost me a lot of money." I suspect it was a nightmare for him, as I held him accountable for mistakes and demanded that stolen property be returned to my residence.
