Bertolli Floors

I have used them on multiple hardwood refinishing projects. They have been great so far. I did have a problem with darker stain not finishing up properly on naturally lighter colored woods, but they warned me up front.

Bertolli Floors is extremely professional.? I had a quote the same day they came to see the property.? They suggested solutions to our issues that no one else had addressed.? They did a beautiful job with the installation.

Bruno Bertolli and his team of workers were fantastic!! I cannot say enough good things about them. They were timely and always arrived when expected. A quick text to Bruno was always, always answered regardless of day of the week or time of day! He was so responsive and helpful. I had referred him to another friend who used his services before I did, and not only did he do a fabulous refinishing hardwoods job at her house, but she said, "He could not be any nicer!" This is so true! My project was so big that Bruno and I interacted daily over carpet removal, flooring installation, choosing of the stain color, sanding, and then applying three coats of poly. Also, I had three rooms tiled, and found myself texting questions and pictures of tile to Bruno from the tile store, always getting back sound advice. Finally in the end, all of the shoe mold installed. Beautiful work, very nice team, very good price, wonderful experience in every way! Bruno also referred to me a plumber who was fantastic too (Thank you, Plumber John Dellavechia!). 99% of the work done was perfect and on the minor things that I wanted changed (we are all human), it was handled professionally and in a very kind manner. Bruno's response was always like, "We will take care of you" and he would make it happen. There is so much stress with house remodeling that dealing with a kind person is important. Oscar, head of the install team, was a perfectionist who was also such a nice guy! His work is incredible. Let me tell you, when you get your floors done, you want a perfectionist on the job.They worked so long and hard and then cleaned up beautifully! Having someone who comes in, gets the job done efficiently, encourages you to check it over, and then responds kindly and respectfully to questions for clarification or when I asked for a couple corrections (because believe me! There were not many things wrong with Oscar's floors! He is quite incredible) without ever getting upset but being easy-going, is just a wonderful experience. I wish all contractor experiences could be as good as this one! As for pricing, Bruno's was very reasonable and fair. Also, when I found a few add-on items that would make the floors better, like fixing previous hardwood installer's poor job, or installing stain-to-match air vents, the pricing was upfront and fair. I appreciated the flexibility to get it right by doing the add-on's. Further, it was very convenient to have a single contractor handle both the tiling and the flooring. They knew in what order to do the work and all the thresholds and transitions were coordinated between the three tradesmen (tilers, installers, and finishers), something I had not considered. I also appreciated them installing the shoe mold in the tiled areas, something I had also not anticipated and I'm not certain an independently-hired tiler would have done. So my advice is to get Bertolli's to handle both the hardwoods and tiling if you need both done. So in closing, I would look nowhere else! Here is a team with good pricing, excellent work, who is wonderful to deal with, and they get the job done beautifully. I mean, my floors are GORGEOUS. I am so grateful that Angie's list led us to this team. Thank you, Bruno and team!!

Both installs went very well. The guys were very professional and punctual. Bruno, the owner, was very informative as to what I should expect during each install. The guys handled my furniture and appliance with care and cleaned up after themselves at the end of very day. The finished product was more than I ever could have imagined -- my floors look amazing! I have referred Bertolli Floors to a co-worker where they performed a refinish on her old hardwood floors. She is still raving about it. They are going to install wood on my cousin's staircase next week. I have even told several other people at work about their work and I am sure they will be getting plenty more business on my referrals. Keep up the good work!!!

Got quotes from multiple vendors and decided to go with Bertolli after meeting Bruno, seeing his work, and getting a fair price. Decided on using real hard woods, and having Bertolli supply them (again I went around and shopped for alternative product and exactly what I wanted, Bruno's offering was a good price for the hard woods). Then, after doing this I expanded the project slightly to include tile work in the kitchen and bathrooms (I had the tile and was going to have someone else do the work). All the work was completed on time, as priced, and professionally done. The tile crew was first, they did a great job, keeping me informed and doing the work. Since we were using a bunch of spare tiles I already had, installer helped in the layout and design, they did an excellent job installing and the rooms look great. This took a few days, but the job was done right. Then the crew came for the hardwoods, again they completed it on time, were very professional, and the head of the crew was also excellent. Had a few issues with stairs and some tight spots, but the crew leader was great, and worked it all out. Its been about a year since the work was done, and everything still looks great. I am remiss in writing this review but would highly recommend Bertolli Floors

Bertolli Floors picked up the tile I selected and brought it to my home. Their installation crew was courteous, professional and just great at what they do. The removed tiles, hardwood, and carpet and replaced everything with new tile. Their installation was fast and just great quality. They take a lot of pride in their work. I will definitely use them again for other flooring projects in my home.

I've used Bruno Bertolli a few times now for flooring needs. He is so professional and his results are impeccable. He delivered once again! We wanted to strip, re-stain, and refinish our hardwoods throughout our main floor. However, we were nervous about getting the right color. Bruno said no problem - he had someone come out and strip a small section, then apply 4 different stain options for us to consider. That gave us the chance to look at the color in different light and settings. I highly recommend this step to anyone considering going with a different floor color. We picked the color we liked and had Bruno and his guys do the work while we were out of town on vacation. I woudl not have taken this risk with a contractor that I wasn't totally comfortable with. We returned from our vacation to find absolutely perfect and beautiful floors! It looks amazing. And Bruno stands behind his work. You deal with the owner, which is a plus. And by the way, his pricing is equal to or better than anyone else out there.

Really professional and really clean. I wish I could say the same for another provider I got off of Angie's List.

There were a lot of complication because I needed the floor put in last minute and it had to be approved by the condo board. They were so professional and did an excellent job. There were complicated factors but I felt confident they would do a good job. They put 1300 sqft of hardwood floor down in 1 day. I was so amazed everything went so smoothly. They really were spectacular. I can't say enough good things about them. I have recommended them to my friends.

As the pre-work process ensued, Bruno Bertolli was a very pleasant man to work with and we were excited about getting our new floors. We were pleased with the installation of the new wood and the way it laced in with the existing wood. We were, however, very disappointed with the finishing (one coat of stain and 3 coats of water based poly) performed on all the floor, new and existing. The floor has the appearance that the workers poured puddles of stain, then allowed the puddles to remain too long before the stain was spread. We don?t know with certainty that this is how the spots were created, but this theory is supported by several observations. The spots were on the floor as soon as the workers completed the job. The worst spots are comparable in size, circular/oval spots, 4-5 boards wide, and in a pattern consistent with someone pouring a puddle of stain, taking a couple of steps, pouring another puddle,taking a couple of steps, pouring another puddle, and so on. The perimeter of the spots is mid-board and remains a continuous arc from board to board. These unsightly spots are on the top surface of the boards. When the Bertolli workers returned to put the furniture back into place, we complained about the dark spots on the floor. The workers responded that the spots were normal, replaced the furniture and left. As time went by, we became more convinced that the spots were not normal and we asked Bruno Bertolli to advise us of how he proposed to correct this apparent workmanship error in the finishing of the floors. Mr. Bertolli came by our home and agreed that the spots were not normal. He told us that he would fix the floors, but since he wasn?t sure why the spots were there, he wanted to have a flooring expert come in and investigate the reason for the spots. Mr. Bertolli?s supposed expert came to our home in January 2015. He conducted several tests and took several pictures. He left a business card claiming to have a ?Professional License? from NWFA. A few days later, Mr. Bertolli forwarded us a copy of the report prepared by the person he hired, and told us the spots were the result of excessive moisture in our subfloor. He then said he would not fix our floors unless we paid him. The report listed three possible causes (liquid spills, residue from improper cleaners or continued moisture rising from the subfloor). The liquid spills (unless they were puddles of the first coat of water-based poly) or the use of improper cleaners made no sense as the spots were there before we used the floors. It also made no sense as to why a competent flooring company would install hardwood floor over the top of subflooring containing excessive moisture or why the spots would be on both the new hardwood and existing hardwood that had been installed for over 12 years and never had this spotting issue until Bertolli Floors refinished them. Since Mr. Bertolli was including the report from the person he hired as a basis to not fix what appears to be errors by his workers unless we paid him, we sent our questions/concerns to Mr. Bertolli?s expert in the hopes of him revising his report to be more accurate and complete. Unfortunately, he did not address any of our questions or concerns and provided this response: ?Are you accusing me of bias because I was hired by Bertolli? If so, let's clear the air of this ?serious? accusation before I go any farther. I don't care if my mother installed the wood floors, I wouldn't cut her any slack or show favoritism. It seems that every time a report is written that doesn't benefit one side, they holler foul and bias. Where does my report show bias, and what leads you to believe that bias was shown to either side?? Since this person claimed to have a professional license, and this response did not seem very professional, we contacted NWFA whose vice president said: ?We grant Certifications. We are not a licensing authority.? This embellishment of credentials of the Bertolli hired inspector further diminished our ability to trust Bertolli Floors. Mr. Bertolli then addressed our belief (that the spots were most likely from stain soaking into the wood too long before it was spread) by saying that his company did not apply any stain, only 3 coats of water based poly. When we pointed out that the stain was on our invoice and receipt, he recanted saying that they did apply stain but that the cause of the dark stains remains from moisture. He now contends that when the floors were installed the subfloor moisture content was less than 8% in May (a typically humid month) and that the moisture exceeded 10% in January (typically a dry month). He still hasn?t explained why these dark stains now exist on floor that did not have any dark stains on them for the 12 years before his company refinished them. He has offered to discount the price for his company to refinish the floors again, but insists that we must pay for them to do what appears to be correction of their errors. We then contacted a different flooring company about possibly having our floors refinished. When we asked their representative his opinion about our dark stains, he responded that it appeared to him that the stain was allowed to soak into the wood too long before it was spread. We are still exploring our options for resolution. Meanwhile, we do not recommend Bertolli Floors and would not use them in the future.

DO NOT EVER LET THIS COMPANY INTO YOUR HOME! The damage left by the painting company was not repaired and in fact the entire floor (foyer, dining room, and office) look worse after Bertolli Floors worked on them. I can clearly see swirl marks throughout the floor and clearly one coat of polyurethane was not enough. They also smeared polyurethane on the baseboards which now require repainting. The quote given to the painting company was $900. $250 to move furniture and $650 to repair the floor. The Bertolli Floor crew arrived by 9am and were gone by 10:15am on the same day. 1.) Bertolli Floors arrived to move the furniture completely unprepared. The furniture was a china cabinet, buffet, table and chairs, desk, an entertainment center, and a grandfather clock. At times I had to help them lift the furniture but also provide them with five of my own household blankets so they could drag the furniture across my floor. Professional movers could have been hired for far less money. They also had the nerve to ask me if I needed help to move the furniture back into place when the work was finished. I assume that a $250 charge for about 25 minutes of work includes both moving and placing the furniture back into place. 2.) The crew buffed my floors and applied one coat of polyurethane. They told me that they would return on the following day to move the furniture back into place. I could clearly see that the damage was not fixed properly so I contacted the painting company to voice my displeasure with the quality of work provided by Bertolli. 3.) On the following day, I left work early to meet with both Bertolli Floors and the painting company at 3pm. Bertolli Floors did not show up and told the painting company that they were coming the following morning at 9am to move the furniture back into place. They did not address any of the quality complaints and clearly had no intentions to make things right. I left work early for no reason as they specifically told me to meet them at 3pm and they were a no show. Bertolli Floors should be embarassed on many levels. Poor craftsmenship, poor customer service, and no desire to make things right. I am currently seeking quotes from other floor companies to repair the floor properly and I am considering seeking damages.

Bruno came to our home for a quote to repair some deep gouges & scratches to our hardwoods caused by a paint crew we'd recently used. His quote was reasonable so we went with it. They showed up on time & Luciano did a superior job on resanding & sealing. I could not have asked for better workmanship. Luciano, the journeyman that did the work, was a genuine professional with a wonderful attitude. I highly recommend Bertolli Floors!

Ronny and his team did a great job with this entire project! They worked well together and were great to work with! They worked hard to get the job done ahead of time and exceeded my expectations in everyway. This was a big job and I would highly recommend Ronny and Bertolli Floors!

Pros: Reasonable pricing. Owner Bruno is responsive over phone and text. Cons: The gentleman who installs tiles (different from hardwood installation crew) needs micro managing. If not checked he will do a very lousy job.

The service went fine. The floors looked good afterwards and the staff did a nice job. Two technicians came out and completed the job in 2-3 days. They applied 3 coats of polyurethane. The staff was very prompt and even completed the service a little earlier than projected. They did a thorough job and I had no problem scheduling with them.

We replaced ~2000 sq.ft of carpet with hardwood floors. Bertolli floors did a commendable job finishing on time. They also installed kitchen back splash and installed new tile on the brick fireplace. Bruno Bertolli, the main person I worked with was very responsive and a very good listener. He gave me the best price among all the companies I requested a quote from. As far as quality, the floors look great. The kitchen backsplash probably would have been finished slightly better. Overall, I am happy and would recommend Bertolli floors to my friends and family.

I found them on Angie's List. They were pretty good. They did a good job from what I can tell.

I had first contacted Bertolli Floors for a quote to patch some work and refinish my wood floors which cover my first floor. I couldn't do the work at the time of the quote, but decided the work needed to be done approximately six months later during a week where we would be on vacation. They made my appointment fit into their schedule and showed up on time and did an excellent job of finishing the floors. They look like new. Throughout the engagement, Bruno and his team were professional, on time, provided an excellent quality of workmanship. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have their floors refinished.

The house was chaos as you can imagine. But the installation crew did a great job getting things moved out of rooms and the floor in place. They finished the job in 2 days time and it looks great. When we would find a squeak or a scratch they would take care of it right away. They removed the furniture from the room, pulled up the old carpet and hardwoods and installed new hardwoods. This over about 1000 square feet. I would most definitely recommend Bertolli flooring. They did a great job. They came in and got out of the house as promised. The installation team worked really hard and did a grand job on the floor. Everyone has been impressed.

The floors turned out beautiful! And equally important, Bruno did an excellent job of addressing any concerns I had along the way. While I always believe it is a good idea to get several estimates for a job, I would definitely recommend using Bertolli Floors. In short, they do outstanding work at a very reasonably price.

For the most part his work was good and their timeline was good. However, there was a lack of attention to detail, which appeared to be caused by a lack of supervision. When we complained about areas of concern, they came right back out and tried to fix it. However, the fixes were only okay, not their best effort.

Bruno was the quickest to respond to my initial request, the first to come to the house, and was very easy to reach and ask questions. I could email Bruno and have a response usually within 2-3 hours, if not faster. His rate was competitive and his charges were transparent; I knew exactly what he was charging for everything he did. There were no surprises. The floors also looked incredible afterwards and were very well done. Bruno is so pleasant and easy to work with and he's very reliable and trustworthy. This was huge because I basically gave him a key for the week and trusted him with my house. You might find a lower rate or package deal with some of the other companies, but you will be hard pressed to find the level of professionalism and quality of work Bruno provides.

This is the letter we sent to Bruno Bertolli, the owner of Bertolli Floors, on February 7, 2014 Bruno, Amy and I wish to thank you and Ronny for the professional installation of the hardwood flooring in the main level of our home. We have always had a mostly fully carpeted home. The conversion to an all carpeting main level, except for the marble entrance hall, was quite a step for a couple who have been married 60 years. The end results provided by Bertolli Floors was beyond our hopes and expectations. We now wonder why we did not convert to hardwood flooring earlier in our marriage. We selected Bertolli Floors because of Angie’s List and your estimate visit to our home. We were impressed with your professional and straight forward approach to all our questions. Also, you are the owner of Bertolli Floors, and to deal directly with an owner today, is a rare event. After our acceptance of your estimate, we appreciated your definitive scheduling of the installation. which was implemented without a hitch. The installation of the 1,000 square feet of flooring by Ronny and his two assistance was outstanding. They finished the job in two days—one of the days was ten hours in length. Ronny was great to work with and we would want him to install our next flooring needs. We live in the Roswell Horseshoe Bend Subdivision and would recommend Bertolli Floors to all our friends.
