Bertolli Floors

Bruno Bertolli was a pleasure to work with. He listen carefully to the ideas we had and made suggestions on the size of the boards and how the new floors should be laid to look best. Looking at the finished floor I can say that he was spot on. I especially appreciated Bruno's responsiveness, all my calls were returned in timely manner, the changes to the original plan that I asked him to make were accepted without hesitation. Crew showed up on time every day. We were happy with the quality of the work and the final result looks great. The price was very fair. If I need more flooring work done I would not hesitate to call Bruno again.

Since our initial contact to completion it could not have been a better or smoother experience. Bruno promptly answered all of our questions, and his team was able to work with our schedule. The workmanship of his staff is amazing, and we simply love our hardwood floors now! Thank you, Bertolli Floors!

While the price was good compared to other flooring companies, I was unhappy with the quality. First of all, I was told that they would do a stain sample on my hardwoods. They did not do a stain sample on my floors at all so that I could compare different colors. They handed me stain samples (stain chips) and told me to pick a stain. I chose the lightest stain. However, they failed to mention that the lightest stain was NOT A STAIN. It was the natural wood with polyurethane. I did not find out that piece of info until after the floors were finished. If I hadn't found out, I believe I would have been charged for a stain that was not used on my floors. Second, in the master bedroom, there were large, blotchy stains on the hardwoods that were not noticeable before the floors were refinished. The company representative said it was probably pet urine stains (which is entirely possible because the people who lived in the house before us obviously kept their unruly dog in the master bedroom). However, the professional thing to do would have been to call me when they noticed the stains and say, "hey, there are urine stains in the master bedroom...it doesn't look too good...here are some proposed options for you...we could replace the individual boards, we could do x, y, or z..." However, NOTHING was ever mentioned to me. I came home after the floors were finished and had to complain to the owner about the stains. Third, there were a lot of other flaws in the floor that were not noticeable prior to the refinishing. However, no one from Bertolli ever called and said, "hey, there are some portions of your floor that are not in great shape...we recommend doing x..." Again, nothing was ever said. Fourth, they failed to install shoe molding in one room of the house. Fifth, they chipped away at the paint on the floor boards and never offered to paint the areas where they chipped away at the paint. Sixth, they took up and then reinstalled molding around the hearth of the fireplace; however, the new molding is not the same style as the original molding, and you can see left over adhesive on the hearth where the old molding used to be. It looks sloppy and completely unprofessional. Seventh, the transition piece between the kitchen (new hardwoods) and the dining room (old hardwoods) was an absolute headache. Instead of Bertolli recommending solutions and trying to work with us on the transition, we had to deal with it ourselves. Even if the ultimate outcome was that we had to deal with it ourselves, I don't understand why these "professionals" would not see that there was a problem and make recommendations about how to fix it. I would never hire Bertolli Floors again.

It went very well. They were a little late but that was OK, and the work was done quickly and professionally. I really, really like the floor and will hire them again when it is time to do the kitchen.

We had a very good experience. Bruno Bertolli uses specialized crews to do the various pieces of work involved. The different crews that did the work were always polite and responsive, showing up as scheduled. To the extent I had any issues/questions, Bruno either took my call or responded later that day. Bruno was always reasonable in resolving any issues or changes that we requested.

The team was on time and ready to work, they are organized and did a great job in one day. They installed living room hardwood and I Would use them again. My wife noticed a piece of wood slightly higher, called Bruno and they came and fixed it in a few days.

Bruno Bertolli was wonderful to work with during our process of getting a quote for wood floors. He was quick to make an appointment, showed up on time and turned the quote around immediately. The cost was higher than we anticipated and so we did not have the job done with him, but he was wonderful to work with in getting us the estimate and I would highly recommend considering him for work.

The Crew of four showed up on time and was ready to work. They removed all the carpet and started to prepare floor for hardwood. the job was completed within two days and the stairs the third day. We are happy and satisfied with the results, the hardwood looks great! ...Bruno, the owner was very professional, friendly and always returned our phone calls and answered our questions.

Bruno Bertolli and his team were very professional. We had a small period of time to get our hardwoods refinished as we were moving to this house quickly after closing on our previous home. He made sure that we were on the schedule and started the work as soon we took possession on this house. Jairo, his re-finisher did a great job. Fabricio did an outstanding job refinishing the handrails that were painted with a horrible black paint. Roni and his team made sure that the staircase was the way we wanted to be. Totally recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about Bertolli Floors. They were easy to work with from start to finish and my floors are absolutely beautiful. Bruno came out and measured thoroughly for an accurate estimate that was exactly what I ended up paying. His crew was on time for every step, from dropping off the wood to installing the carpet. They were extremely efficient during installation - the wood flooring only took one day and, as a result, they were able to do the carpet a day ahead of schedule. Bruno had his crew come out to relocate some heavy furniture for me and repair a tiny mark on one wood plank, after installation, with no objection. In fact, Bruno was enthusiastic about making sure that I had the best experience possible. I will (and already have!) started telling everyone I know that Bertolli is fantastic. I could not be more satisfied and I am thrilled to have Bertolli around to help me care for my new floors and to help me with any future projects I may have.

They just finished the work about 2 weeks ago. I thought they were reasonably priced. They are a very good company. Bruno who is the main guy came out, looked at the floors and was able to give us an estimate and provide a work timeline and turned everything around very quickly. He basically delivered on time as he had promised and the work was done nicely.

Bruno was very flexible as our work schedules changed and we changed the appt date/time for him to come to estimate. Although we already knew which product and color we were going to use, he confirmed it by bringing in samples he had in his car. We had a budget in mind and his quote came in a bit higher. We talked about it and since this was to be a free and clear space which he would have easy access to, etc., he met our budget. He had the right size team to complete the project in a day- whole house. The only thing we wish we had discussed with him was the type of adhesive to use. The smell was so strong after the installation, that we needed to have all the windows slightly open for 2 weeks. It was rather cold outside at the time. We wished we had used a Green adhesive for that reason. We would recommend him to anyone who needs hardwood flooring installed.

It was a big job and a lot of work. The did the entire first floor and the solid wood floors are beautiful.

The team arrived on time and went right to work. Removed wall to wall carpeting, removed masonite sub floor, installed new sub floor. They installed Somerset hardwood floor in family room. The three man team worked very well together and the floor looks great. This company and Bruno are easy to work with and patient, my wife started with carpeting then changed number if rooms to redo, then switched to hardwood. I will definitely use this company again.

Bruno, in sales, was incredible before and during the overall process. He knows his products, knows how to listen and understand your needs, suggest products and colors and promptly provides an estimate. Any issues, he took the call, and resolved them quickly, to our satisfaction. Today, the floors look incredible, the product quality is excellent, we are very pleased with the end result. It was done on time, at the agreed to price. My rating of "B" is due to how a problem in our kitchen was resolved and the lack of respect for our antique furniture. Tossing old flooring with nails towards antiques that are worth more than the entire job doesn't work. When the kitchen floor was being laid, the floor layer did not adequately plan out what wood was being selected / used and ended with a very noticeable, defined change in wood color that created a line down the middle of the floor. This was eventually fixed to our complete satisfaction, but unfortunately, not before the foreman vehemently argued with my wife and had to be addressed by Bruno. There are a lot of great recommendations for Bertolli Floors on Angie's List, which is why I selected them. Given the antiques in my home, a different approach should have been used regarding care for them during the demolition process. I truly appreciate the fact that Bruno made sure we were happy with the final quality of the job, even if it meant he had to relay some flooring in the kitchen.

They did a great job, Bruno measured the material needed very accurately so there was very little waste. The quality of the insulation was excellent.

From the very first contact I made with Bertolli Flooring, the response and subsequent professional relationship was outstanding! I had been searching for new floors for the past six (6) months, and had a specific type/style in mind. Once I found the flooring, I began to search for a company to purchase and install that 'dream' floor! The search left me disheartened with the same sales rhetoric typically found. I was aware of Angie's List, but had never used their services. Upon further research, I signed up, and the rest has been positive comments to family, friends and co-workers about Angie ? I found Bertolli Flooring on the site, and from my first contact with Bruno to my new floor installation - I could not be happier! Bruno took time to talk and come to my home to discuss my selection, without any pressure; made suggestions and worked with me on my end goal. From the first call, to signing the contract - everything was clockwork. They did what they said and said what they did. The schedule was spot on and the flooring is gorgeous. Oscar and the crew were on time, courteous, professional and their installation was impeccable. I returned home close to completion and was truly speechless. Not only did Bruno steer me in the right direction, the floor was even more than I had imagined. The crew had installed the flooring and trim to perfection. They walked me through the installation and future care of the floor, cleaned up everything (cleanup was a minimum because they stayed on top of it) and put my furniture back in place. Everyone who has seen my wood floors are as impressed as I am. When I walk in everyday, my floors bring a huge smile to my face. I personally recommend Bertolli Flooring, and will suggest that you also make that phone call - before signing a contract with anyone else! The engineered flooring installation went exceedingly well. ?I cannot think of one area that needed improvement. ?Bertolli Flooring = Excellence, Professionalism, Outstanding Work Ethic, Trust. By the way, this is the 4th time I have contracted with Bertolli for my flooring needs. ?Every single experience has been outstanding!

Bruno and Ron (brothers) and their team exceeded expectations in responsiveness, professionalism, and price. ?The team is very service oriented, and were very flexible in working with me and my schedule. ?The floors / quality of installation was very impressive. ?The crew was very organized, professional, and non-intrusive. ?I really appreciated being offered a fair price on the 1st attempt, no negotiating or haggling needed. ?I will definitely use Bertolli for floors again.

This was not a perfect job, but I am submitting this revised review because the company came back out and re-worked areas of the floor that were a problem. I have been left much more satisfied than originally.

I am exceedingly pleased with my choice of Bertolli Flooring! Absolutely perfect experience. The installers were on time. Worked diligently throughout the day. The installers were very respectful of my home, very punctual, exceedingly diligent about staying clearly on task. For having your home disrupted by having hardwoods installed, this was the best experience one could have considering. The gentleman that stained the stairs was a perfectionist. He too was punctual, worked diligently and quietly with the utmost respectfulness of my home environment. His work was absolutely beautiful. Thank you to all at Bertolli Flooring. I will only use Bertolli Flooring in the future.
