Bell Roofing

Used a 7 man crew to complete the job in 1 long day. Clean-up was very thorough with only 2 nails found on the ground after the job. The rain the day after revealed a leak in a corner of the roof. Also the mesh screens on one gutter were damaged/missing. The owner and crew came out early 2 days later and repaired the leak and replaced the gutter screens. Project management and problem follow-up were excellent. After investigating the leak, problems with the firewall siding were identified and repaired with caulk. I wish these problems had been identified initially so the siding could have been replaced prior to the re-roof.

I contracted with Bell Roofing to replace the 16 year old contractor grade shingles on my renovated American Foursquare home circa 1900.? After getting competing bids Bill Roofing was slightly the higher but clearly had their act together. For those of you who do not want to read the entire review here it is in brief; I spent $17,000 and am 100% satisfied. I highly recommend Bell Roofing for anyone who cares about quality and hassle free installation more than the lowest price. I called the office and reached Jen who assisted me in setting an appointment. Jen stayed engaged all the way through and past the installation date. She was wonderful to work with. She and I agreed a date/time for Charlie Bell to come out to collect info needed for the estimate. I did not have to be home but as I work from home I met him anyway. When it came time for the appointment Charlie was bang on time. He came prepared with their Certificate of Liability Insurance, Occupational Tax Registration Certificate, proof of BBB accreditation, Angie?s List service award, GAF certification (the roofing manufacture I was interested in) and brochures for the GAF roofing products. What did I get from the 2 other roofing companies that quoted the job? A firm hand shake. I was impressed. Later that same day I received an email from Jen with a detailed estimate. Admittedly it was more than I could afford. So over the next weeks we want back and forth as to what to include or exclude. I did the same with the other roofing companies. I ended up selecting a premium shingle with upgraded 20 year warrantee, roofing the house and garage and new gutters just on the house. Bell Roofing was the highest quote but not by a huge amount. After a small discount (hint, web coupon) I was comfortable with the price differential. Jen then helped me with the order (shingle color, drip edge color, gutter color, etc.) and scheduling for about 1 month out. Here is one minor complaint. While the colors are available on their website that does not do it for me. I need to see physical samples. Lowes to the rescue as they carry the shingle by special order. I was able to lease the color sample plate from Lowes ($25) and compare them to the house color. I am super glad I did as we ended up with a color I would not have chosen online. Gutter color was more difficult. I actually ended up going to the distributor with a sample of my trim. Would have been much nicer to do all this with Bell themselves providing color samples. But, none of the other roofing companies offered this service either. So I don?t take any points off my 5 star review. As we neared the installation date Krystal, Director of Operations, emailed. She confirmed the order details, installation scheduling, sent me a preparation check list and handled all my questions. As was the case with Jen, Krystal stayed in contact with me through the duration. There was a small snag when the special order materials were a bit late and so we had to push the install date back two days. But Krystal was a pro the entire time. The special day arrived and the dumpster was delivered. The driver was master at the wheel. He was able to maneuver the dumpster into the back and out of the way. I share a driveway with my neighbor and so this was appreciated. The whole delivery was so quite I might have missed it had I not been already up and waiting. Really impressive. The crew showed up on time and got right to work. Truly a professional crew. My neighbor was watching and made comment how impressed she was. They were courteous, picked up after themselves, were well organized, and well managed. The crew chief (sorry I did not catch his name) ran a tight operation. In 1.5 days we were done and cleaned up. I was able to take conference calls (I work from home) without interruption or distraction. My landscaping plants were unharmed (a minor miracle) and the yard was cleared of trash. Not a nail in sight. And the roof looks spectacular. The next business day the gutter guy showed up. Just one guy and I have no idea how he managed everything all by himself. But he did and they look wonderful. Clean crisp lines, well caulked seams, proper slope for drainage, tied into my existing underground drain lines where I have them. Really looks fantastic. ?All in all 100% satisfied.

I contacted Bell Roofing to get an estimate on a roof repair. I sent an inquiry on Sunday and got a call first thing Monday morning to set up a time for the appointment. Someone was out within an hour the same day! The Bell representative was professional and straight forward. Turns out repairing the roof might not be needed or the best use of resources. He suggested we install gutters or use PVC materials for the facia so that it won't rot. We live in a historic neighborhood where gutters aren't typically approved for installation so the facia keeps rotting since the shingles overhang isn't that great (and we don't have gutters). I really appreciate his honesty and would certainly call Bell when we do need a roof repair or replacement. Thanks again for coming out.

They came out and in one day, they replaced the roof and followed up on any runoff concerns. They cleaned the yard thoroughly and the dumpster was removed by 8 am the next morning.

Got rained out on the scheduled day but they were there first thing the next morning. As always they did an awesome job!. Owning Five rental properties, I have my share of dealing with contractors and repair people, and I will have to say this is one company that I never have to worry about. This is the forth roof they have installed for me over the last few years on my rental houses. I would never use anyone else. Have always been pleased with their work and prices, but most importantly they do things the right way. Always a perfect job!

The dumpster and materials showed up at the house at 730, and the roofers showed up shortly after. They got right to work taking off the old roof. They had it all installed before the rain and storm started that evening. The roof looks great. Hopefully it makes it 25 years. The only issue I had with them the whole time was the materials guy came a week early because our schedule got delayed (rain). The delivery man handled it great and said he would get in touch with the office and figure it out. They do have a bit of a wait for roof installation. I think it was about 3 weeks. That wasn't a big deal for me.

We had to have a roof inspection for insurance and a friend recommended Bell Roofing. Turns out the roof was 20+ years old and we had to have a roof replacement. Mr. Bell waived the inspection fee and worked us into the schedule the very next week. They were so pleasant to work with that I used them for another project on a separate property a few days later. Highly recommend Bell Roofing!

The roof did not leak. Someone else came by and dropped off a dumpster for them to put all the roofing things in and when they came to pick the dumpster off and the guy refused to pick it off saying that we had put household trash in the dumpster. I wasn't even here that week, my husband was on the phone with them four times about that issue and that was ridiculous and then they let the dumpster sit there another 10 years so I couldn't park in my driveway. They showed up three days late. There was nothing but pellets and in shingles in the dumpster.

They did a great job and had it done on time.

The roofing materials were good, but Cobra Ridge Vent improperly installed. The cuts for ridge vents were too narrow. They were cut for a roof without ridge beams. Our roof has ridge beams. The attic registered over 115 degrees. We planned to use it as our major storage space. The owner personally came to inspect the job. The crew came back and cut the ridge vents wider. The supervisor, Orlando, was apologetic about the problem and easy to work with. The supervisor made sure the ridge vents met GAF required installation standards. The owner made it clear that his company wants to keep a good reputation. We are pleased with the final product.

I got several bids and they were the lowest bid. They did an excellent job and did real well. They cleaned up after themselves.

Overall, I'd say pretty well. My house is old with dicey plaster and I worried about the roofers picking up a heavy bundle of shingles and just dropping it on the roof. Mostly, they did not, though a couple of times I had to run out and wave my arms. The old roof was removed and put into a dumpster that was carefully placed so as not to ruin the edges of the driveway. I did not find old shingles in my yard or driveway. My one complaint is that many bits of roofing ended up in the gutters and downspouts, clogging them--and eventually dumping roof runoff by my foundation and into the cellar. It would have been helpful if the workers had been told to clean out the gutters. Or even if I had been alerted.

From the get go, the crew at Bell Roofing was prompt and professional. From a same-day estimate to a scheduled install date that worked with my schedule. The crew powered through some drizzly and yucky weather to ensure my project was completed correctly and on time. The manager kept me posted during the job with email updates and photos. I would definitely hire this company again.

Mr. Bell came out and inspected the roof and gave me and estimate. I gave them approval and the work started within a week. From start to finish was two days. Clean up was excellent. Couldn't tell they were here. Roof looks great.

We were very happy with the crew (Carlos leading). Path Bell is very responsive and helpful. They made it easy and were always helpful with any questions or concerns.

They got in, did the work, all good.

Charile and his crew have done a number of houses in our neighborhood. They always do an excellent job at a very competitive cost. Would recommend to anyone looking for a roof job.

From the beginning of the process, talking with personnel about scheduling the quote to Mr. Bell coming out and quoting, all aspecs of dealing with bell roofing was first class. Bell roofing provided a do's and dont's on what to prepare for and what to expect yhe day of. I reccomend reading and ssking questions. install went perfect and I am extremely pleases with roof.

We expected to have to replace the roof. He told us the roof was still in pretty good shape (honest roofer!). He also gave us lots of good advice for how/when to replace the roof.

They were very efficient. They did what they said they were going to do and did a great job.

They came when they said they would. They were professional, efficient, and cleaned up well after themselves. They did an excellent job.

Repair had to be rescheduled on providers end to finish a job that was delayed due to weather, normal delays. No problem, appreciate the communication every step of process and respected they complete timely what they start instead of sending less crew and taking longer. Everyone from initial phone intake, crew and Charlie Bell himself extremely personable, polite and professional. I have referred them several times. My sister used them for a full roof replacement and beautiful work as well.

It went well. He provided information on what to expect, how long it would take, etc. They were efficient.
