Moving Companies, Storage, Piano Movers

About us

Atlanta Peach Movers is a premier full-service moving company in Atlanta. We offer both residential and commercial and moving services for local, long-distance, and international moves. We also offer packing and storage services. Atlanta Peach Movers have been in the Atlanta moving industry for over 30 years. Over this period of time, we have built a successful business based on a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. We constantly try to improve ourselves as a company every day, whether it is how we work with customers or how we give back to the community. At Atlanta Peach Movers, we believe in quality service. That is why we only hire the most dedicated employees. It is easy to find someone who is merely hard-working, but may not be very pleasant to work with. To ensure a positive experience for every customer, we hire not only the most hard-working movers in Atlanta, but also the most courteous and respectful. All 150 members of our team are full-time; we do not employ casual labor or temporary work. Our employees are true professionals and will show up to your home on time, in uniform, and ready to work. However, what truly sets our Atlanta moving team apart from other moving companies in Atlanta is our training. Before they are sent to handle your belongings, every one of our Atlanta Movers must go through an intensive training program at our in-house Atlanta Peach University, one of the few facilities of its kind in the country. During the training, our employees learn correct packing and loading methods, and practice moving real pieces of furniture from a replica home in our warehouse. Employees also complete on-going training throughout the year. Additional email - jsimmons@atlpeachmovers.com.

I moved on 05-31-22 and it was the worse move I ever experienced. I wish I could give zero stars. I had four movers and two looked like recovering addicts who were just released from the state penitentiary! The leader of group told me that I had to give them a tip-cash only. Then throughout the move, he continued to badger me about the tip. Then, after they finished packing, they left without telling me with ALL OF MY BELONGINGS. I had to call the supervisor to find out where they were. The leader told me that they had to make a run. I was so angry! When I called the supervisor, he defended them and told me that they would deduct the time from my bill. But the worse part is, they broke the door at the Public Storage at Roswell RD location and left every storage space open to vandalism! To top it off, the leader started smoking on a no smoking facility. I had to call the police and notify them so that they could make extra patrols around Public Storage until management arrives on the next business day to fix the door. This entire move was a disaster! It is reprehensible that they hired such low-life employees. When I complained about the damage to Public Storage’s door, Sameera, some person who works there tried to insinuate that I was lying. There is a police report to prove it.

Terrible experience, terrible customer service and lazy/unmotivated workers. Buyer beware - read the reviews and check with the BBB. I can't endorse this company or their support staff at all. Here is my experience - We had Dave Deckman of Atlanta Peach Movers come in person and give us an estimate for our belongings of a 4 bed/2400 sq ft home. Dave quoted about 10K lbs of movables/ $360 hr / 8.5 hours / 2 box trucks / 6 movers. This was a HUGE expense for us, but we trusted Dave to provide a fair estimate as we value our belongings and wanted to make sure we kept what we have in tact. We we misguided and I need to share with you my story as to not make the same mistakes that I did. Issues: 1. Dave told us that the company can move potted plants - no where in the paperwork are potted plants mentioned. ON MOVE DAY, the movers informed us that because plants can die in the back of the van, they could not be taken. I have to hire additional movers to move my potted plants. Emailed Dave, Dave said the policy changed on 9/1, but this was untrue - this has been a standing policy with the company for some time. Dave never responded to my email to make things right. 2. We moved ALL of our boxes from the old house to the new house (clothes, kitchenware, office stuff, kid toys, etc.). This should have been included in Dave's quote. We did this to lighten the load and the burden on move day (and hopefully reduce our cost since it was high). The team came in right at time/budget. So either the quote was incorrect (re: Dave Deckman) or the workers slowed down to the process to maximize the paid time during the move. 3. Mover laziness was real. I'm not a stickler for taking a break - I get it, but dancing in the street in front of my house, sitting down for extended periods of time, and talking hand-on-ear with a cell phone isn't ok in front of the client. I not only observed this on my own, but had three neighbors (one at my former residence and two at my new residence) commented on the level of lazy shown by the team during working hours. 4. I diligently labeled all furniture with color-coded labels and matching tags in each room so that the team would know where to place things. My daughters outdoor picnic table (outdoor basement level) ended up in her bedroom (upstairs) and had to be brought back to the basement. My peloton is in the correct room, but on the opposite wall of where it belongs. They carried our smoker (BGE) over loose stones instead of wheeling it through the house (we would have approved this) which caused a HUGE delay. Other furniture ended up in wrong places - my tags were not followed which would have saved time and expense. The movers did tour the house and the tagging system was explained, so why there was confusion here, I'm unsure. 5. My working desk and bookcase are not put together as promised by team/Dave Deckman. When calling Samira Jalaly, Customer Service Director at Atlanta Peach, she did ask if I wanted them put back together. I do not want these people in my house ever again. Additionally, there is a part missing from my outdoor patio set that was lost in the move. It's a small part, but still showcases the care demonstrated by the company. 6. We have a bedframe that is not being used at the moment, so we didn't need it put together. Instead of placing it neatly under its tag, the pieces were strewn over the wood floors of the guest bedroom - I had to walk on top of them to get to my desk. These are large boards that I had to pickup and move on my own when they could have just been neatly stacked against the wall. I also witnessed one of the boards being dropped RIGHT in front of me in the driveway without an apology. 7. One of the movers needed to use the restroom (totally fine), but clogged the toilet. He did ask for a plunger (which I had to go out and purchase quickly), but he never cleared the clog. The entire main level of the home smelled for the latter half of the move. We did have a sewer issue at the house, so we're very lucky that this did not cause further home damage (very lucky when the plumber came out to resolve the issue as he said this could have triggered a huge problem). I did speak with Samira Jalaly, Customer Service Director, and unfortunately, she was unable to make things right for me at all - in fact, she didn't even try. She said that the only complaint that she saw was the misinformation of the potted plants and which she'd let Dave Deckman know the policy for the future. Since the quote matched closely with Dave's initial estimate, there was nothing she was willing to do (and mind you - we moved A LOT prior to initiating their services). What I witnessed was the level of lazy with sales, customer support and with the moving team itself permeates throughout the company. Bottom line - whatever quote you're given, the workers are going to extend their level of effort to match the quote plus some if able. If the workers were moving - they would have finished about two hours earlier than expected (and I actually think it'd be more than this). I was swindled and will not be an advocate for this company, and my neighbors are aware of the situation as well as they witnessed it first hand. Hoping this review helps you make an informed choice about your move. I welcome Atlanta Peach to make things right here, but have little confidence they'll even show the effort based on this first hand experience. The least I can do is share my experience here.

We were excited to use this company after how professional and knowledgeable they were when they came out to give us a quote. We had them come out about a month before our move and a couple days later confirmed we would be using them and signed the documents on May 21. We again discussed our timeline and were reassured it would be done. The move was schedule for Sunday, June 14. We confirmed days before and were told they would be at our house between eight and 9 o’clock in the morning. Moving day comes...and they never show up. It took a while to get in touch with anyone who could give us answers. We were told they could not make it out that day (The day we had signed papers for) but would be there by 8 o’clock in the morning, at the latest, the next day. We informed them that our house was being closed on at 11 o’clock the next day and they said they could have it done or very close to it. We NEEDED the next day to go fast and the house was supposed to be empty for the buyers’ walk-through that day. My husband and I decided we would move mostly everything to make sure the move could be done in time the next day. We moved the majority of the furniture and all of the boxes and put them in the garage. The only things that were left on the main levels were 2 bed frames, 3 mattresses and a crib/matress (Which we were then told they were not allowed take apart and reassemble cribs- which we would have done sooner had we been told that when we had the man come and quote our move), and a table and a desk. They arrived at 9 o’clock the next day. An hour after they told us they would arrive. When the movers showed up they said they wished they knew we lived on a hill because they brought the wrong truck and could not get it up our driveway because of the lift gate. I felt so bad for them! However, the benefits of having a company come out to your house for the quote is that they SEE the driveway. Bless the men who moved us. What should have taken no more than 2 hours, 3 tops- took 5 hours because they had to carry everything up and down the driveway. I do not want this review to reflect poorly on them. They were wonderful. However, we are extremely disappointed with the customer service that claims a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Our Real estate agent was not able to make it to our closing on Monday because we did not have anyone 18 or older to stay with the movers while we had to leave and close on our house. The men were not done by 11 o’clock and thank goodness the people buying our house were so accommodating, because the movers were there most of the day trying to get everything out of the garage and onto the truck. At this point my husband and I would have been better off renting a truck and loading it up ourselves since we put everything in the garage anyways. With three small children we were looking for a smooth move where we wouldn’t have to stress. We trusted this company to get that done for us and instead we moved most of the furniture ourselves and didn’t get the service we were quoted for. We were quoted $1,600 for the move (Which included them moving the furniture from the rooms and down our many stairs, not from the garage) and were told it would probably be under, but that they would rather overestimate than underestimate. We ended up paying $1,930. I could not believe it. We called the office several times and it took 5 phone calls before Tim, the operations manager, spoke to me. Today I got a call back from a different employee letting me know they would refund $400 and no more. This gets us back to the original quote. If everything went as planned we would be ecstatic with the original quote, but it did not. We did not get the service we were quoted for. They did not show up the day they were scheduled to move. My husband and I had to move the majority of our belongings ourselves and with that we still had to pay the same amount as the original quote. I would be happy to give a better review if the company stood by their 100% satisfaction guarantee.

The time the mover showed up was somewhat punctual and what arrived was in good condition. However, a missing item was noticed and after being asked to give time for the moving company to try to locate the missing item, a claim was entered and denied. Moving company claims it is difficult to process claims for missing items for a “point A to point B” move.

The price was the issue. I called and talked to a rep. He gave me a very fair quote and I agreed to it. I signed on. They signed on for a guaranteed day. All of a sudden, a week before my move date which was on a Saturday, they actually called me and it was someone else. They said that they needed to come out and look in more detail to make sure everything's organized for the move that week. The guy came out and basically looked at everything and it went from $300 to $1600 all of a sudden. Since it was a week before we had to move and be out of the current place, we really had no other option but to accept it. And they really baited and switched us and they switched us at the last minute. I called and talked to management and they said sorry, there's nothing we can do. As well as, they didn't even tell us the tip wasn't included or that there would even be a tip. So the people that came out to move all of a sudden went from a crew of 3 to a crew of 5. The crew of 5, most of them were standing around most of the time. They weren't organizing well. For example, they ran out of blankets in the apartment they were wrapping things up in. Then they had to wait for someone at the truck to bring it up versus actually just taking the normal elevator down and going to the truck to actually get the blankets. Instead they were just waiting for someone to come up to bring it up. So it was just poor planning. They were punctual but poor use of time. It was bad in the sense they guaranteed me a price and a week before the move, when I couldn't reschedule with anyone else because they would all be booked, they came out and changed the price by more than 5 times, from $300 to $1600. The people scheduling me did not inform me of any tip situation and then when I came out, the people that were doing things all of a sudden made it very clear that they were expecting a tip. I didn't have any cash because I didn't know. They're all expecting a tip. They're dropping very clear hints throughout the process. All of a sudden they're like we're done, where's our tip. I literally had to just give them some stuff that I moved with. So I gave them some bottles of liquor and wine. It was a very uncomfortable situation. On top of paying $1600 for the move, they're expecting each a tip. They've already multiplied my cost more than 5 times. So clearly something is wrong in their payment system.

It went great! They even stuck to the quote they gave us over the phone. We made sure to specify a 26? box truck, and they sent two, with three guys each. It was great to know that we could count on them. They were a great crew, good people, super-nice. The pricing was reasonable, and it took 9 hours to move everything. Just an excellent experience all the way around. I can?t say enough good things. People stick by their word here, and it's a nice change from Miami, Florida.

I used Atlanta Peach Movers (will refer to them as APM for short) for an out of state move based on a recommendation from a friend. I called and requested an estimate. Received a prompt call-back and we set up an appointment to see what was being moved and get the estimate. The estimator came as promised. The estimate was in the ballpark of what I expected, and with my friend’s recommendation, I went with them. I did most of my packing to save money. However, I had APM pack some larger art pieces. Those were done in advance. The ladies that came did an excellent job packing. The day of the actual move, three movers came and wrapped everything and loaded the truck. It took a little longer than I expected and I was late for the closing, but I was told it would be close. The three movers did a really good job. One slight snag was they broke a glass table top, but it really wasn’t due to their negligence, it seemed to stick to the base. They asked me how much I thought it would be and offered to pay for it out of their pocket, because they would have to pay for it anyway and they didn’t want to get in trouble. I felt bad and told them not to worry about it—I figured it would just be in the $30 range (turned out to be $60). Furniture was delivered as promised by the same guys. All was pretty intact, but unfortunately, there was some slight damage to a piece of furniture (why is it always the one you like most?) that looked like it rubbed against something during the drive. I pointed it out to the movers, they filled out a form and I was told I would hear directly from the claims manager. That’s when the problems began. --Two weeks later, nothing. I called and she told me this was the first she’d heard of it. She sent me a form to fill out which I did within a few days. I was told someone would contact me. --One month later, nothing. I called and she said she would follow up. --Three weeks later, nothing. She said they were having problems with their person in my area and asked if I knew any companies that repaired furniture. I said no, but had good luck with Angie’s List. Never heard back. --Two weeks later, I called again. This time she said she thought this would be under my deductible and basically I was on my own. I replied I would be back in touch if the estimate was above the deductible. --Two weeks later I sent the estimate which was close to $300 above the deductible. I was told they’d send me a check after the weekend. --Two weeks later, nothing. I again followed up. I’m still waiting on their reply. Out of frustration I called my credit card company and they said I could dispute the amount I was due, which I did. Still waiting for them to issue a credit. From the customer perspective, it seemed to me that they were stringing me along hoping I’d forget or figure it wasn’t worth the trouble to pursue. During a visit back to Atlanta I thought about calling the manager, but after reading other reviews, I figured it would be in vain. It must be their company policy or the claims manager would have been fired by now. All of this was for a relatively small claim. I can only imagine what they would do for a larger sum. I considered giving them a higher score based on the first part of the experience, but their attempts to put me off seemed so deliberate, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I don’t think I would use them again.

After posting this review I was contacted by Scott Kreig, general manager of Atlanta Peach Movers. He took great pains to make sure he understood what the problem was, and sent me the following email outlining steps he was taking to remedy the problem. This is excellent customer service and leads me to believe that my experience is NOT the norm. Mr. Rocket, we are very pleased to have been able to settle your issues with your move. We love candid feedback from our customers so we can continue to strive for perfection as well as take care of our customers. With the information you shared with us we have developed a new process for when our pack crews are packing up a customer?s items. We also have had several training sessions to train the packers on what boxes to use for specific items. As well as how to wrap individual items. The packing supervisor is required to inventory all the boxes they packed, therefore validating exactly what we packed, therefore eliminating any inaccurate counts. Thank you again for using Atlanta Peach Movers.
Description of Work: Packed on Monday, moved Tuesday. The packers worked fast, but upon unpacking we realized they did not do a good job. For instance, each piece of plastic ware was meticulously and individually wrapped, while some valuable ceramics were tossed in boxes. |Also, though we had packed a significant amount of our belongings ourselves after we got the estimate, it miraculously required exactly the number and type of boxes given on the estimate. Some were half full of paper. |The moving crew was great-very professional, good attitude and pleasant to work with. Really went the extra mile.

Terrible. The move experience has been a nightmare. We bought their expensive insurance. Then the movers damaged 5 pieces of furniture. Two of which the company refused to repair and claimed that the exclusions were in the paperwork that we were not given proper time to review. The person we have been dealing with to get the repairs done thinks it was OK for the movers to damage a piece of furniture, not tell us about, tried to do the repair themselves, and which made the damage worse worse according to the professional furniture restorer. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Moving is very stressful and from the moment I called Peach Movers they made the process as easy and stress free as possible. They recommended 6 movers for my local move and trust me they were all busy wrapping and moving my furniture and boxes. The guys were all very polite and helpful and a pleasure to be with for the day. Not only were they the strongest team of men , they were very aware of my walls and furniture moving out of old house and into the new. Everything arrived in perfection condition and my houses were in perfect shape after the move. Honestly it could not have gone better.

The move itself went well. There was a misunderstanding after the move, which the owner himself personally called me about in order to resolve. That type of gesture is very rare in business today. Based on the high level of service, I would absolutely recommend hiring this moving company.

Never got a call back, and will never use Atlanta peach movers again.
Description of Work: Atlanta Peach Movers came to my house to give me an estimate on moving. Tom was very professional and gave me a quote in a timely manner. I was actually impressed with the company and wanted to hire them to move. However, I did have another quote that was lower and called Atlanta Peach Movers to see if they could work something out with their price. Unfortunately, I never got a call back from Tom or Atlanta Peach Movers. Even if they didn't want to work on the price they had quoted me, a callback would have been more professional then no call at all.

I was referred to Atlanta Peach Movers by a close friend who had used them before. I skipped using another company that I had used twice, who were excellent, to go with Atlanta Peach movers. What a mistake! Before we booked with them, they were very responsive to us. After we gave them the deposit and booked them, they stopped returning our calls. I left at least 5 messages, but no one called back. On the moving day, they were almost 2 hours late. They said they had truck problems, which I can understand, stuff happens. Then, they brought a truck that was too small for the job. They had 5 people moving our small, 2 bedroom apartment, and it took them close to 7 1/2 hours to complete the move! For reference, the company that moved us into that apartment took less than 6 hours with only 4 men. They said they would bring a special box for our grand father clock, and they didn't. They had to put our patio table into their pick up truck because it wouldn't fit into the truck they brought. When we were finally moved in, and they left, we started looking at our belongings. They had damaged several items, nothing big, but they were damaged. They broke the slate top to the patio table, put the slate pieces back in place, and said NOTHING to us about the damage!!! Really??? I called the company several times to talk to someone, and it took a while to get the right person on the phone. She said she would look into it and call me the next day. It took her over a week to get back to us, and the only compensation was to refund us $80, which equals 1/2 hour of their charge. I didn't claim the damaged items since it would have been less than our deductible, but I did let them know about it. I was extremely disappointed in the moving experience with them, and with their customer service. They really should have done more to try to fix the issues. $1300 for a local move from a 1st floor, 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom, ranch style house, is way too expensive. Then to have items damaged and the movers not even own up to it is pathetic! Had they just said something at that time, the matter would have been dropped as far as I was concerned. I will never use them again, and I will never refer them to anyone. i would hate to lose a friend over the quality of service they provided us!

I would highly recommend Atlanta Peach Movers. My wife and I were moving out of our 2BR 2Bath apartment into our first home and every member of our 4-man crew was very polite and friendly. They were total professionals. It was very impressive to watch how quickly and efficiently they worked. None of our items were lost or damaged and we had several pieces of antique furniture. The whole job took about 5-6 hours (we had a second location we needed to visit on the way to the destination to pick some additional stored furniture). Our washer & dryer ended up not fitting through our laundry room door but they went above and beyond to try to make it work, including disassembling the back of our dryer and reassembling it when it still would not fit (they did this with our permission of course). Overall, they were absolutely fantastic and I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Moved a 2-bedroom 2-bath apartment across town with an additional stop in between to pick up additional items. Moved furniture, boxes, hanging items (eq. mirrors & pictures frames), etc.

From the start the experience was rocky. The original sales person, Ron Skinner, kept saying they did not know why they were sent to a small job that could have been done over the phone. He concluded that we must have know somebody. Ron left me an incomplete quote and said he would email me the completed estimate in a few days. After a week went by, I called the office and spoke to his Manager, Amy Bradbury, and expressed by concern over not getting an estimate and the disappointing 1st visit. During my conversation with Amy, she mentioned that we were getting a discount since we were a Real Estate referral and that also included their "most experienced movers". She promised to make sure the estimate went out and would be complete. I did the estimate that evening but the estimate was the SAME on Ron left me, with the SAME missing information. Was frustrated that after expressing my concerns, Amy did not take the time to review the estimate. I then reach out to Julie Chokos, was told she was Amy's superior. She updated the paper work and went over what I was told. Seems Ron also gave me a "Items of extraordinary value inventory form" that was only for interstate moves. We wanted to make sure we had the correct cover, since the 10 items being moved were valued over $50,000.00. The day of the move, the movers arrived on time but we were told that they did not know when the guys with the crates and "free" wardrobe boxes would arrive. Also our" Experienced team" of 4, were actually 2 experienced and 2 trainees. Also since we were moving very large and heavy items, we expected guys built to carry them. All but one were slim build without any noticeable upper body muscles. We gave it 2 hours and asked for an update from the on-site Supervisor and he called someone and got the same message, they did not know when they would arrive. The 10 pieces of furniture were wrapped and covered, it took them 1.5 hours to do this, so we went ahead and asked them to move the items to our new home. I waited at the former home and tried to reach someone at Atlanta Peach Movers, while my partner went with the movers. After several calls and voicemails, I finally reached the Schedule coordinator/Manager. He was not sure when the guy with the crates or wardrobe boxes would be there. I explained to him that the new owner of the condo was scheduled to take procession by 6pm and we needed to be out by 4pm so that the condo could be cleaned as per the closing documents. Since no one seemed to care about my situation, called again and spoke to a "Customer care rep" and mentioned that I was not paying my invoice until this was completed. That got everyone's attention. After calls with Julie and the schedule coordinator/Manager. We had a guy come by with the wardrobe boxes ONLY. The boxes had tire marks and holes. I tried to use them but they sagged when I tried to put my clothes in them. Some made some more calls and Julie promised that new boxes and crates would be there in an hour, 3pm. At 3:30, a guy arrived with new boxes but with only used crates missing the slates to secure the front of the crate. More calls and finally got the crates around 4:15. The guys who brought them were really rude and explained that one of them had something he had to do earlier. At the new home, the 3 average built guys were having a lot of trouble getting the items into the home, especially to the second story. We have a large tall chest, all one piece and over 100 pounds, that they lost their hold on and it almost fell on one of them. WE DO NOT BLAME THE GUYS BUT DO BLAME THE COMPANY FOR SENDING THEM WHEN THEY DID NOT HAVE THE MUSCLE TO LEFT ANYTHING. Finally everything was at the new place. The movers were setting up the bed and putting in the shelves for the bookcases. As they worked, we looked for any damages. Of the 10 furniture items 2 were damaged. 1 of them the entire corner of the molding was smashed and broken. Could not find any of the pieces. Recorded the damages with the Supervisor. We did tip the guys, they really did their best and had good attitudes. When I contact via email Julie about the damages, she just forwarded the email to a claims person with a note "Sandy, Can you forward a claim form to Joseph. Thank you, Julie". No note to me recognizing the damage or that the whole experience was a nightmare. Not even I am sorry for all of the issues and we apologize. Atlanta Peach Movers brag about how they are the official mover of the Atlanta Braves, they say it every time you call the office but do not seem to care if you are not a Brave. I am sure if one of the Brave's players had these issues, there would at least be an apology. I do not get why it is so hard for companies to say they are sorry. Atlanta Peach Movers is so proud of the companies that they are official movers of that they should realize that they should realize : " Outstanding customer service is not measure by the number of positive reviews but HOW THEY HANDLE THEIR MISTAKES. Will update my review once the damages are corrected.... UPDATE 09/03/2014 Repairs were done with epoxy....not my first choice but it works. Not written guarantee on the work. They provided a refund of $160.00 which was about 10% of the total. Most companies refund 25% for such bad service but this is what they offered. It reflects what their dedication to excellence is worth but better than nothing..... PS....READ THE REVIEWS ON YELP.
Description of Work: We were moving 2 blocks to our new home. Atlanta Peach movers were recommended by our Realtor. Since the move was so close, we decided to move everything but the 10 large heavy pieces of furniture, a 100 lbs. mirror and the 65 inch tv. The mirror and tv were to be crated.

The best experience that I've ever had! They don't contract any work out to second or third parties. The salesman came out to our home and took a physical inventory of everything. They gave us an approximate weight and approximate cost. Two of the team members actually brought our furniture to us. They were a great bunch of people, they did a fantastic job! They weighed the trailer after they loaded everything at their facility, and when they arrived they showed us the weight ticket, so when we got the bill, it was a great surprise that it was $1200 less than what we were quoted! Ron Skinner was the sales rep that came out to our home in Georgia. Teon Young was the crew supervisor, and Reggie helped him. They followed us all the way from Georgia to Illinois, they were really superb guys, pleasant and went out of their way to ask questions and help. All our things had an inventory sticker and a list, so we could make sure that nothing was missing.

When we sold our house and had to move, we knew we wanted Atlanta Peach Movers to do the job. Since it was last minute and over a holiday that we needed, we were not sure they could do the job. We contacted other companies as a backup but fortunately, Atlanta Peach Movers were able to fit us in. They have not been the cheapest quote we have gotten but we know from experience that saving a few dollars is not always worth the cost. Between my in-laws and myself, this is the 5th time we have used them to move in the Atlanta area. We usually pack our own boxes and unload all the furniture to be moved. Each time they have arrived on time or called if stuck in traffic so we know when to expect them. Once they were held up from another job so when they arrived later, they had extra men to help expedite the move and only charged us for the (4) men they quoted. We have had different crews and each time they were all very efficient professional. They seem to have their job specialties, one guy is wrapping the furniture while another is moving boxes, another is loading the truck, etc. Just seems to move along like a well oiled conveyor belt. We just moved from an 1800 sq ft home. Victor's team arrived at 8:45am, had us wrapped, packed and loaded - drove to the other home (about 12 miles away), unloaded, assembled all the furniture and cleaned up by 1:30pm. Nothing was damaged or broken. All the gentlemen were very polite, introduced themselves when they arrived, kept their minds on the job to be done. There was no crude joking or language at any time-they helped one another, worked together very well. Once again, we were not disappointed in the job done, well worth the money for peace of mind. Thank you!

They did an incredible job. They took care of packing everything up and storing it until we were ready to have our belongings delivered. Not a thing was damaged, and I really felt like they cared for our possessions. Their rates were pretty competitive. From start to finish, this was a great experience.

Caveat emptor. Let the buyer beware. Our experience with Atlanta Peach Movers was a nightmare. We were moving our belongings from our home in two directions: to a condo in Midtown and to Peach Movers’ storage facility. We took great care to specify which furnishings should go to which location. Nevertheless, things ended up in the wrong places. Peach Movers provided inadequate supervision for the job given the size and complexity of the move. Throughout the course of the move, I reconfirmed with the “supervisor” what was to be moved to which location, but this clarification was not adequately conveyed to members of his team. In addition, Peach Movers underestimated the size of the job, providing insufficient packing materials for the move which led to an inefficient and sloppy process as the staff rushed to pack our home in their allotted timeframe. The staff provided inadequate descriptions on our boxes, which made it very difficult to identify the rooms to which the boxes belonged. So the move itself was a disaster. But the move was not the worst part of our experience with Peach Movers. The coup de grace was that none of my winter or formal clothing never made it to the storage facility during the move. Every coat, every sweater, every evening gown, every wool skirt, every pair of wool pants, every single item of fall and winter clothing I’d accumulated over my 56 years, was gone. Even this was not the end of our Peach Movers nightmare. When we informed Orlando Lynch, the company’s CEO, of our loss, his response was, “if it’s not in our storage facility, we don’t have it.” This despite our having walked through our home with his staff at the end of the move to confirm the home was empty. Not one person in the Peach Movers organization ever expressed any regret or concern for our loss. Never once did they offer even a token gesture to make us whole. Customers have a right to expect their moving company to ensure belongings are packed with care, identified appropriately, and accounted for and safe in their storage facility. Atlanta Peach Movers failed in each of these areas. Finally, customers have a right to feel satisfied with the experience provided. Our expectations were not met and we would not recommend this company to anyone in need of moving and storage services.

Response from Atlanta Peach Movers
Atlanta Peach Movers is the most widely known and trusted name in Atlanta's residential relocation business. Our reputation is further solidified by, on average, more than 5,000 local residential moves in the 17-County Metropolitan Atlanta area per year for the most recent four years running. We are among the most reputable moving companies in the U.S. as attested to by our unique status as the Official Mover of the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Hawks, the Women's Council of Realtors, and most recently, the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola. Additionally, we are the recipient of the Atlanta Board of Realtors' Affiliate of the Year for 2013, and for the past two years have been recognized by Kudzu subscribers as one of Atlanta's Best! We did not arrive at this place of trust through sloppy processes. Addressing the allegations.... "Peach Movers either lost or stole all of my winter and formal clothing...." Quite apart from the allegations being false, and in my own opinion, it should not take seven months to come forward with such an accusation if there were any truth to the claim. "Orlando Lynch, the company’s CEO, [said] of our loss . . . ,“if it’s not in our storage facility, we don’t have it.” This despite our having walked through our home with his staff at the end of the move to confirm the home was empty." Orlando was merely stating as fact that, after moving the Reviewer's household goods into our secure, military-approved storage facility, if we do not have the items in question in our possession, then...we do not have the items. "Not one person in the Peach Movers organization ever expressed any regret or concern for our loss." On multiple occasions, in personal emails and by phone, Orlando Lynch took a personal interest and invited, on no less than three separate occasions, at no cost to the Reviewer, an opportunity to personally inspect the very Vaults into which their household goods had been loaded. "Never once did they offer even a token gesture to make us whole." The Reviewer indicates a substantial loss of clothes, "...all of my winter and formal clothing. Every coat, every sweater, every evening gown, every wool skirt, every pair of wool pants, every single item of fall and winter clothing I’d accumulated over my 56 years, was gone." We do not know why some people place little value on their belongings while others assign great value. The Reviewer elected Basic Valuation for the entirety of their household goods. This simply means that if a loss were to occur (damage to a piece of furniture, for example), the maximum claim benefit would be $300 dollars based not upon replacement value but upon depreciated value. There are two upgrades, each offering full replacement value, and all three options (Basic, plus the two upgrades) are identical from all licensed Movers of Household Goods in Georgia, and all are available to every person utilizing a licensed, professional Moving Company in Georgia. It is the person moving who is able to assign liability for a loss through the thoughtful election of Valuation. Liability is not assigned for them. The Reviewer elected to assign a value of $300 dollars to all they owned. "Customers have a right to expect their moving company to ensure belongings are packed with care, identified appropriately, and accounted for and safe in their storage facility." As previously noted, the Reviewer had no less than three opportunities, at no cost, to come to our warehouse where the labor of at least two men is required to retrieve the sealed Vaults from the elevated racks which hold the 900+ pound containers. Their labor was provided at no charge to the Reviewer. The inventory taken onsite the day of the move was confirmed two more times in our warehouse as accurate. We went so far as to make available the GPS Tracking data for our trucks to clearly demonstrate to the Reviewer that our trucks went directly from the origin residence to our facility with no stops in between. To wrap up our response, I will not speculate as to why a lifetime's worth of what sounds like valuable clothing was not placed in the care of Atlanta Peach Movers, the most trusted and reputable Moving Company in Georgia. They would have been safe in our secure, military-approved warehouses, in sealed Vaults, under 24-hour camera surveillance, and behind barbed wire-topped fences. When they first came to us about the clothes we opened our doors to them, gave them labor and manpower to be fully satisfied. Our personnel walked the residence after packing and loading. Nothing remained, and the inventories have been confirmed at least twice since. None of the 'missing' items were placed in our care, or the Reviewer would have them. Respectfully, Jerry Walker Atlanta Peach Movers

I contacted Atlanta Peach Movers via their web-site about an upcoming out of state move. After receiving a very sarcastic email asking me to fill out a list of items to be moved so that they could give me an estimate I took the time to list every item to be moved and returned the information to them. I attempted to contact them many times after I returned the email with the list of items and never heard from them again. The individual that I dealt with was Bill Boone and I am extremely disappointed with lack of service provided.

Response from Atlanta Peach Movers
First and foremost, we apologize for both the initial response to our Salesperson's email request for inventory, but more importantly for the lack of our proactive response to the received inventory. As to the email which Mr. Horne initially received from our Salesperson, we have reviewed it and can understand how the language could have been misconstrued to be sarcastic. Email correspondences are notorious for giving the recipient a wrong interpretation as to the tone intended by the sender. Knowing the Salesperson personally tells me the tone was not intended to be sarcastic, but we do acknowledge the possibility for misinterpretation is present. As such, all outgoing correspondence will be re-checked to make certain our very high standards of customer service are validated in the language of outgoing emails. Regarding the lack of proper follow up, the Salesperson, quite to our surprise, missed this opportunity to provide Mr. Horne and his household the best value available in relocation services. This is all the more unusual since the Salesperson in question is our top, and most senior, inside salesperson. He routinely provides the customers who book through him the details and service which have made us the top Moving Company in Georgia, and the trusted partner of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks, and the Women's Council of Realtors. That said, his processes will be reviewed to let us know where he needs to refine the way he goes about his job so there is not another occurrence such as Mr. Horne experienced. Finally, Mr. Orlando Lynch, our President and CEO has reached out to Mr. Horne to personally apologize, and I too have spoken with Mr. Horne to alert him that I would be responding to this post, and to discuss with him the language I would use. We appreciate the opportunity we were provided to serve the relocation needs of Mr. Horne, and wish him the best in his move. Both sentiments were expressed directly to him. Respectfully submitted, Jerry Walker V.P. Business Development Atlanta Peach Movers

The sales rep, Bill, was outstanding, very helpful, great price, very accommodating all around. The pick up went as scheduled, no apparent issues at that time. The delivery side did not go as well. The delivery staff showed up late and took twice as long to unload as we had scheduled with the building because they were short staffed. Several high value items were broken/destroyed and the claim process was excruciatingly slow took several weeks before we even had an adjuster show up at our door. If not for the claim process and responsiveness after the delivery, this company would have been graded higher by us. I would use them in the future because their pricing was excellent and they seem like an honest company. Wish the follow up service was as impressive as the sales service.

Response from Atlanta Peach Movers
The customer moved into Manhattan very close to Wall St. in a highly congested area. We were able to get him in to the high-rise in good order despite the parking issues with the movers that we agreed to send. We were not short-staffed as no additional labor was specified on the contract. The customer had us move some large 8 x 4 panels and a 9 x 4 decorative door that did not fit in the elevator. We advised him about this before these items were loaded in Atlanta, but he decided to try it once we arrived in NYC. It took additional time trying to find out what to do with the panels and door. The main issue was that there were some damaged items which unfortunately had to go through the claims process. Given the constraints of his NYC apartment, he did not keep the damaged table for the repair company to examine. This resulted in somewhat of a delay, but the claim was settled well within the prescribed window of time given that we were dealing with an out-of-state repair company and having to research the value of the table versus having it on hand to repair. We are sorry for the damage, and we are happy that the customer is satisfied. We also appreciate the review and his comments about our integrity. Bill Boone 678-728-2311, [Hyperlink removed]
