Atlanta Peach Movers is the most widely known and trusted name in Atlanta's residential relocation business. Our reputation is further solidified by, on average, more than 5,000 local residential moves in the 17-County Metropolitan Atlanta area per year for the most recent four years running. We are among the most reputable moving companies in the U.S. as attested to by our unique status as the Official Mover of the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Hawks, the Women's Council of Realtors, and most recently, the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola. Additionally, we are the recipient of the Atlanta Board of Realtors' Affiliate of the Year for 2013, and for the past two years have been recognized by Kudzu subscribers as one of Atlanta's Best! We did not arrive at this place of trust through sloppy processes. Addressing the allegations.... "Peach Movers either lost or stole all of my winter and formal clothing...." Quite apart from the allegations being false, and in my own opinion, it should not take seven months to come forward with such an accusation if there were any truth to the claim. "Orlando Lynch, the company’s CEO, [said] of our loss . . . ,“if it’s not in our storage facility, we don’t have it.” This despite our having walked through our home with his staff at the end of the move to confirm the home was empty." Orlando was merely stating as fact that, after moving the Reviewer's household goods into our secure, military-approved storage facility, if we do not have the items in question in our possession, then...we do not have the items. "Not one person in the Peach Movers organization ever expressed any regret or concern for our loss." On multiple occasions, in personal emails and by phone, Orlando Lynch took a personal interest and invited, on no less than three separate occasions, at no cost to the Reviewer, an opportunity to personally inspect the very Vaults into which their household goods had been loaded. "Never once did they offer even a token gesture to make us whole." The Reviewer indicates a substantial loss of clothes, "...all of my winter and formal clothing. Every coat, every sweater, every evening gown, every wool skirt, every pair of wool pants, every single item of fall and winter clothing I’d accumulated over my 56 years, was gone." We do not know why some people place little value on their belongings while others assign great value. The Reviewer elected Basic Valuation for the entirety of their household goods. This simply means that if a loss were to occur (damage to a piece of furniture, for example), the maximum claim benefit would be $300 dollars based not upon replacement value but upon depreciated value. There are two upgrades, each offering full replacement value, and all three options (Basic, plus the two upgrades) are identical from all licensed Movers of Household Goods in Georgia, and all are available to every person utilizing a licensed, professional Moving Company in Georgia. It is the person moving who is able to assign liability for a loss through the thoughtful election of Valuation. Liability is not assigned for them. The Reviewer elected to assign a value of $300 dollars to all they owned. "Customers have a right to expect their moving company to ensure belongings are packed with care, identified appropriately, and accounted for and safe in their storage facility." As previously noted, the Reviewer had no less than three opportunities, at no cost, to come to our warehouse where the labor of at least two men is required to retrieve the sealed Vaults from the elevated racks which hold the 900+ pound containers. Their labor was provided at no charge to the Reviewer. The inventory taken onsite the day of the move was confirmed two more times in our warehouse as accurate. We went so far as to make available the GPS Tracking data for our trucks to clearly demonstrate to the Reviewer that our trucks went directly from the origin residence to our facility with no stops in between. To wrap up our response, I will not speculate as to why a lifetime's worth of what sounds like valuable clothing was not placed in the care of Atlanta Peach Movers, the most trusted and reputable Moving Company in Georgia. They would have been safe in our secure, military-approved warehouses, in sealed Vaults, under 24-hour camera surveillance, and behind barbed wire-topped fences. When they first came to us about the clothes we opened our doors to them, gave them labor and manpower to be fully satisfied. Our personnel walked the residence after packing and loading. Nothing remained, and the inventories have been confirmed at least twice since. None of the 'missing' items were placed in our care, or the Reviewer would have them.
