Atlanta Locksmith Solutions

We wanted to have a couple extra car keys for our minivan. I had purchased the blanks online. They are special keys that can only be cut by someone with the proper instruments (as opposed to taking them to Home Depot). The keys also have a chip in them and have to be programmed. I called around to a good number of locksmiths and was looking for the most competitive deal. Mo with Atlanta Locksmith Solutions came in the lowest and, on the phone, was very helpful. We scheduled to have them come to my house on Friday morning at 9:15am. He stated that they would give me a call 15 mins before they were going to show up. I took off work to wait for them to get this done. They never called and eventually I called Mo and he told me that his guy was stuck at another job but would call me to let me know his timing. I never got a call from his guy. By noon I had to leave to get to work. I called Mo and let him know that his guy never called or showed up. He apologized and told me that he'd have another one of his guys give me a call to reschedule. I then get a call a bit later in the day from Ben and we reschedule for Tuesday at 9:15am. And he is supposed to give me a call prior to coming over. Tuesday morning comes around and I don't get a call before 9:15am. I call Ben and he seemed surprised to get my call, but stated that he was on his way. He showed up at 9:45am. He was a nice enough guy. He cut the keys and then worked on programming them. He had a bit of an issue with the first effort/first handheld computer he was using to get them properly programmed. But eventually he got both keys cut properly and working. I basically saved $10 by going with them as opposed to some of the other locksmiths from Angie's List. And, although they got the job done (and Ben was a nice guy). My wasted time over two days was not worth the savings.

I originally called this locksmith to cut a spare key for me on a Saturday, but he had 2 scheduled appointments ahead of me. The situation wasn't urgent (I bought a used car for my daughter but it only came with 1 chipped key), so I let Mo (the locksmith) know that I'd call him back a different day. My daughter was not going to be back until the following weekend, so during the week I checked my other options and discovered that (1) the first car dealer wanted $260 for the job and I had to leave the care for about 2 hrs, (2) a second dealer wanted $150 and I also had to leave the car, (3) another locksmith wanted $120 just to come out, then they would tell me how much they would charge me, (4) other locksmiths simply didn't answer the phone. Frustrating. So at work the next day I called Mo and got his voice mail. He returned my call shortly thereafter, said he could be there in 20 minutes (and he was), cut two chipped keys for me and programmed them on the spot, and charged me $120 for the entire effort. Great service, great price. Highly recommended.
