The service technician arrived on time and was very professional and personable. He serviced the gate and I am very pleased.

Shane is a great sales person and I felt confident the job would be done well and for a fair price. I did a call with him and he answered my questions and I agreed to the work (over a month ago). I did not receive a contract or call to schedule the work. This morning his crew showed up to build the fence. They had no contract, no drawing and the incorrect tools for the job. I called Shane and he said they don’t do drawings for jobs “this small” and that “we never spoke” about the drainage swale running under the fence (which we had spent about 30 minutes discussing when he was out the first time). He was unprofessional to me on the phone and admitted that they have a two month backlog so they were really doing me a favor to try to complete the job (with a team who had no plan, tools, or contract). I was expected to be the contractor and tell them again what I had already told him in the first meeting. In addition, utilities should have been marked in advance. Given his rudeness and lack of consideration for our job at the outset, I cannot imagine how little he would care if something went wrong on my “small job.” I have worked with a number of contractors bringing a 100 year old house back to life, and this is the first negative review I am writing. I would not employ AGC to do anything that you would like warrantied in the future or that you are not prepared to manage yourself. So much of construction/renovations is trusting your service providers to do right by their customers. I did not get that feeling from Shane. He does not want your business or care about getting it right, it seems.

Driveway gates are something of a luxury, as reflected in their installation and repair costs. The two workmen who, in succession, completed the needed repairs very well represent the skill and professionalism I've come to expect from Atlanta Gate Company.

Awful!! The gate looks nice, but adequate sensors were NOT placed during the installation and the gate has inappropriately closed TWICE on my cars when I was pulling in. When Shane was notified about this and I showed him the $1100 damage on one of my cars he just shrugged and gave me an additional $400 estimate to add a sensor on the outside of the gate. No care in the world about the damage the gate he installed caused. I have now hired another gate company to install contact sensors on the edges of the gate and another sensor on the outside. These should have been installed in the first place. A photo of the damage of one of my cars when the gate closed inappropriately as I was trying to drive up the driveway is attached.
