Description of Work: Enlarged drain at end of driveway and added a drain in the yard to divert water.

Description of Work: Originally, a survey of what I wanted to accomplish plus their suggestions, helped me decide on the projects to do. I had them advise me concerning the selection of the new sod which they expertly installed after I chose to prepare this area for them by cutting back and trimming so many trees and limbs that were blocking the sunshine from my yard. They also cleaned out and planted additional plantings in two of my front beds, and then beautifully placed pine straw around these beds. The crew that performed all of this work were very polite, conscientous, and well-trained in the work they were doing to freshen-up and beautify my yard and the sod has performed wonderfully in an area that has always been a problem for me. I am very pleased and my choice of sod is what raised the additional cost which I spent on my yard. It was my intention to install new sod when I purchased their job.

Description of Work: We called them to get an estimate of the work. We knew that the work would be more than the deal value. Their prices were pretty high. We didn't see a real deal from the Angie's List deal that we purchased. They were very professional. They even came out and worked with our neighbors, its just that the prices were a little high for us.

Description of Work: Alan came out reviewed with me what I wanted to have done, He talked a good game, said he would send me an estimate in 48 hours and I haven't heard from him since. I texted him twice after the 48 hours and he never responded. If would have appreciated at least a follow-up call or text to tell me something; the job was too big, they were booked too far out or something. No response was the sign that they weren't as professional as they claimed. And that I was better off.

Description of Work: Leveled the back lot a bit, planted some sod and lots of plants. Although they had a 'landscape architect' we had to basically tell them where to put the sod and the plants. They also brought a lot of small plants when we specially asked for larger ones - they fixed once we told them. Have no understood how landscapers get away with charging so much to dig holes and install plants.

Description of Work: The interaction we had was great. The person that came out to do the estimate was very nice and explained everything, but we have decided to hold off on the project for now.

Description of Work: American Landscaping Crew did a total landscaping of my yard. Overall, I was very pleased, but there were a few complications. They planted trees right in front of some windows, so I had to ask them to move them because they would have blocked all light from my house, the trees would not be able to grow in circumference because they originally planted them two feet from my home. They also siad they'd bring 2 100lb boulders. Instead, they brought 6 20lb rocks. They ran out of pavers for the sidewalk before the job was done and had to switch to a different color. It looks okay, though. Sometimes, it seemed like it was a little too much work on my part being ever vigilant. They also tried to talk me into items far outside of my price range. The work they did was good, though, and it looks good in the end.

Description of Work: In my small backyard, they dug out grass, sprayed weed killer, moved a some plants, put down black landscape fabric, installed edging, eggrock and stepping stones. They put down pinestraw between the edging and the fence. The guys worked very hard in the hot sun. I was initially a little surprised at the proposal cost, but understood perfectly once I saw the amount of work that went into the job. I've received many compliments on it.

Description of Work: Trench to define two circular tree beds in front of the house and all plant beds on four sides of the house. Remove all existing pine straw mulch and existing plants from flower and tree beds. Install Low Maintenance and High Color plants along the front and both sides of the house. Installed Black Mulch in all tree and plant beds. Disposed of all old plant material and pine straw. Job was completed in one day. Did a very nice job. Thank you.

Description of Work: American landscaping crew plants 7 Thuja Green Giant trees that were 8 feet tall each and 5 camellia. The owner was very helpful in making the final selection. The proposal changed many times because we were unsure of what we wanted. They worked with us until a solution was found. The crew was very nice and extremely hard working. They dug the biggest holes I have ever seen a man dig with just a shovel. They worked all day only stopping for short breaks and to eat. I am very pleased with finished product.

Description of Work: Large river rock installation to fix drainage issues. New plants, new sod, cleaned up pond. Overall happy with work and plant recommendations. A few plants died over the winter but that was due to late cold snap.

Description of Work: I bought the $1499 landscaper for a week Angie's list deal not knowing exactly how I would use it. In less than 3 weeks I got a beautiful waterfall and pond,a new storm drain,trees and overgrown junipers removed and even had my front yard regraded to improve the look and functionality.I extended the work to include a large new stone wall. Everyone was professional,punctual and skilled. I appreciated the design assistance and willingness to work around my schedule and special requests.Extra materials were left in an out of the way place and cleanup was adequate considering the scope of the project and the never ending threat of rain.They had the right equipment to do the job well. When an electrical issue came up that could not be resolved after reasonable attempts,I was provided with the name of an electrician who came out the next day and fixed the problem. I definitely went over budget,but I love love love my yard and I should pull some weeds but I can't stop gazing into my very own waterfall!
