 + -1 moreAfter an attempted break-in (while I was home with the alarm disarmed) I requested ADT to replace a failing backup battery on my alarm system and adjust the time limit permitted to disarm the system. I was told the battery replacement and timing adjustment were chargeable and that it would cost $107 for 30min of labor. It would be more but $107 factored in a discount for my 8 years of using ADT. My maintenance agreement did not cover maintaining a working battery. The staff are courteous and professional but at a premium monthly fee and $107 for 30min of labor to maintain the backup battery and adjust the timing I will not be using ADT in the future.

Description of Work: I initially went with ADT for my business due to my meeting with the representative, Ron Wood. I was told I was going to be put on a "hot list" so I can get security ASAP. The rep never followed through with the hot list and everytime I called on it, he didn't seem to remember who I was or where I was on the hot list. After finally getting the installation some 6 weeks after our initial meeting, the side door kept on giving false alarms. After receiving limited response to fix this problem from the rep (he did ask me to look at a venture he was looking at, though), I asked for another person to help me. The new rep came out, was very responsive, and assured me that he would handle everything for me from that point forward, and he did. I would recommend ADT, but not Ron Woods.

 + -1 moreOne of the great features of the ADT service is that I can sit in my bedroom and walk all the way through my house here in Atlanta online and make sure that everything is right, and the lights are all off or on when I want them to be. I can control all that. It is truly wonderful to be able to be in Germany and control everything that is going on in this house here in Atlanta. I can start in the kitchen and turn the light on and look around there with the camera. The way I have the camera positioned, I can see everything that possibly be going on in the kitchen. The same is true with the living and dining rooms. I can see the front door and everything with the way the dining room is positioned.
Description of Work: I use them for my security system. They repaired a camera that was dysfunctional the last time.

 + -1 moreThe service man was very personable, and very efficient. He explained everything very well, how to use the system, what the system does. He explained add-ons we can get in the future. We were very pleased. There was a time that the door was opened and the alarm went off. ADT called, and asked us the security questions. It definitely works.
Description of Work: I had their security system installed in October of 2012.

 + -1 moreThey never had any trouble with receiving my payments. When I moved in 2007, someone else was living in the residence. I did not cut the service off until 2008. I called to cancel the service with them and that I wanted the bank draft to stop. They requested that I send in a written request. I sent in the letter the same day and called my bank to have it stopped. In 2011, I was sent to a collection agency for early termination fees in the amount of $148. They reported me to the credit bureau. They stated that they never received a letter from me. I have been harassed by the credit collection service. They never brought a fee to my attention.
Description of Work: I used them for home monitoring.

 + -1 moreI have had them forever and they are very good and responsive. The system always works and I have never had any trouble with it so far. In fact, once I wanted a new key pad and they came and replaced it very quickly. They automatically deduct the fee from my credit card once a year.
Description of Work: I pay yearly and they monitor my house in case the alarm goes off. If it goes off and the codes are not entered, they send the police.

 + -1 moreI am happy with the service we've received. The alarm works very well we have never had a problem with it. The price for the monitoring is quite expensive in my taste. They are the premier company in the area and do a pretty good job.

 + -1 moreI like this company because I feel safer knowing that someone is there 24/7 if something was to happen. I have found that they have fast service and awesome people to deal with. The security tech arrived at my property on time, installed my system promptly, took time to explain the system to me and answered all my questions. If you are in the market for a security system make sure you give this company a chance to meet your needs.
Description of Work: I had them install an alarm system that they monitor for burglary, fire, and critical conditions. I pay a monthly monitoring fee and it cost approximately $500 for installation.

 + -1 moreI really like the fact that I am set up on an automatic bill payment so I don't have to worry about that monthly. I also like that they have not raised their rates in the three years that I have been with them. They respond fast to false alarms. They are also very friendly and helpful when they call back.
