We used Acadia for blinds in all our bedrooms and custom shutters for all the public areas of our home. It's a large home and getting shutters throughout wasn't feasible budget-wise, but Wil worked with us to get shutters where they matter, and blinds elsewhere. He was fantastic to work with on this- trustworthy, honest, and a pleasure to work with as he ensured every detail was handled to our satisfaction. Installation was smooth and timely, prices and quality were great, service superb- ideal experience with this company.

We had been thinking about getting plantation shutters for our living room and guest room on and off for about two years. We'd met in the past with other providers, but for one reason or another had not been able to make a decision. We finally made an appointment with Dudley who arrived on time as promised. Unlike some of their competitors, Acadia was able to offer a full complement of options for the shutters in terms of shutter blade size, mounting style and shutter configuration (double hung, bifold, pairs, single panels etc.). This really helped since our windows have relatively shallow sills and we had had difficulty in the past visualizing what options would look best. Dudley patiently walked my wife through all the options and then was patient enough to go through it a second time using an iphone and facetime since I was unable to get home in time for the appointment. We both felt he gave us very good advice about both what would look good and work well for our particular windows. About a week after we ordered, we received a piece of painted shutter blade to confirm our color match. I have to say that we really appreciated the speed with which all of this took place--we ordered about 5 weeks before family arrived for Thanksgiving and Acadia was able to meet our time limit with a few days to spare. A couple of weeks after submitting our order and confirming the color match, Carl showed up (again on time) and was able to install all 5 shutters in about 20 minutes! The installation process really could not have been any smoother. It's now about two months later and we're still very pleased with the shutters. Everything works as intended and they look GREAT.

The blinds are great! I am very pleased with the overall look and quality. They make such a difference in the appearance of my home and they are a breeze to clean. The entire process was a good experience. I called for an appointment and Will came to measure within a week giving me advice for the best solution for my specific windows. Tony arrived exactly on time for the installation. The blinds fit perfectly even though the windows are almost 100 years old, not straight,etc. I can recommend Acadia to anyone who needs blinds.

From the start, I had Wil Spears for consultation. He was very informative and helpful with questions and suggestions. After ordering in about a month time like he told me, they called and scheduled for installation. On the installation day James and one other man showed up and James was also very informative. Overall we were very pleased with their service. Wil Spears worked with us from start to finish through the process of measuring the windows, determining a quote, and arranging installation. He met with us at a time convenient for us, was knowledgeable about different options, and responded in a timely manner to our questions about the quote. Acadia's price was very good for the product we chose. The installer came when scheduled. A couple of the blinds' cords are a bit stiff when you open them, but overall the blinds are working very well for us.

We just decided to go with someone else.

Exactly as promised! Carl was able to take measurements while he was installing the shutters, so all we needed to do was contact Dudley when we were ready. Again, they were extremely professional and we couldn't have asked for better service!

We had already picked a different company to install the blinds for our windows based on a very competitive price from a salesperson who was making the rounds in our new neighborhood. But he provided no samples and did not ask any questions/give us options. We were pleasantly surprised when the salesperson from Acadia shutters showed up with different samples and was patient enough to go through the different options they had. He answered all our questions and took measurements diligently. Overall, he really signified how a profession would install blinds and shutters. Based on his expertise, we decided to go for a "more expensive" hardwood custom shutters for our main living room bay windows and we couldn't have been more happier !!! It looks gorgeous and everyone has complimented us on it. Even the installers who came to install the blinds/shutters were courteous and professional. Though we did have some initial confusion, with the price quote, but our salesperson was very responsive in getting back to us and making sure we were happy with the quote. The installers made two trips first to install the blinds and then the custom shutters couple of weeks later, but it was nice to see the same people show up at my doorstep. They even fixed some missing returns from the previous trip for no extra charge and I was glad that they took care of it, without me trying to call customer service or sending emails. Overall, we are very satisfied with their work and would NOT hesitate to recommend them !! UPDATE: The salesperson we worked with was Wil Spears - just wanted to give him a shout out for a job well done !

Dudley, the sales manager who came and measured and provided the bid, was prompt, personable, and offered options and suggestions to help us decide which blinds were best for our home. The blinds were custom-manufactured locally (support local merchants!), and Carl, the installer, was here right on time on July 3 as promised. He even called ahead to let us kmow he was on his way. Installation was quick, clean and professional. The price was very reasonable for the quality of materials and work. We would absolutely use Acadia again.

I called and left voice mail message. Dudley returned my call within 30 minutes and set appointment for him to come out and measure. I was very pleased when he arrived on time, explained various options, measured the windows and prepared the quote on the spot. Dudley was extremely professional! No high pressure. I felt the pricing was very fair and decided to order shutters for 21 windows. Carl came this past Monday and installed them. We couldn't believe he came alone to do the installation and just knew it would take all afternoon. But we realized quickly that he certainly was an expert! He was very friendly, professional and completed the job in no time at all! We were so pleased we decided to get quotes on 2 remaining windows in our media room and can't wait to have them installed. We love our new shutters and loved working with such a professional team!

Acadia was wonderful to work with. We just bought our house and needed window coverings for most of the house. They were able to work with us in selecting the best products to work within out budget. From ordering to installation everything went smoothly. We went with custom hardwood shutters in several room and premium 2 1/2" basswood blinds in other rooms. The quality has been great and the look is fantastic! I would use them again and would recommend them to everyone!

When I scheduled Will for an estimate, it was a bad day for Atlanta traffic. However, contrary to other companies, Will called to tell me that he was running late. This was extraordinarily helpful and very courteous. When he came for the estimate, he efficiently measured all windows in the home (17) in the upstairs and downstairs. Then, he sat on the sofa and provided a quote instantly. The quote was almost HALF of what was quoted by other companies. Ten days later, I have blinds that were expertly installed (by Will in order to accommodate my busy schedule) and now they make my house look like a showpiece. The entire process took a little over 2 hours. This is the second time I have used this company. My mother in law met Will and was impressed. She plans on putting blinds in her basement. Don't waste your time with other companies - Acadia will win out every time.

Dudley Warner was our first point of contact with Acadia and was incredibly responsive, courteous and helpful. He came out to the house 2 different times to discuss our options, show us samples of their products and provide advice about what might look best for our budget. Acadia did beat most of the competitors estimates and did seem to offer the best selection for the money. The person who installed the product, Carl, was a bit abrasive over the phone and was late the day the shutters/blinds were to be installed (and didn't call to inform us of his delay). However, when he arrived, the shutters/blinds were installed efficiently and with care and the final product looks great - we couldn't be happier. Dudley took the time after the installation to write a follow-up email and inquire about our satisfaction with the product/the company, which was really impressive - it seems like he/the company really do care if you are pleased. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I called Acadia shutters after reading the reviews on Angie's list and visiting their website. I liked the fact that they outline their pricing policy right on their website and therefore no surprises when the salesperson comes out. Dudley came out to measure and provide us with an estimate. He was very professional, prompt and very detailed in his work. Carl, the installer, came ou t8 weeks later. He was professional, friendly and very quick. The end product was beautiful! We were so happy we order more plantation shutters. They are well made, reasonable and the service is excellent. I would highly recommend this company

I love my new shutters, and I am one of those difficult-to-please customers so this is a considerable compliment. Throughout the process, Dudley was very patient and attentive, answering numerous questions, phone calls, and e-mails. Acadia's prices were also very competitive - I took my time and shopped around quite a bit (I received a total of 5 quotes). If you are considering plantation shutters, I highly recommend giving Dudley a call.

"Dudley" sent me an email asking me to measure the windows; measure the width of the blinds on the other windows and let him know the materials used in the other blinds. The email was responded to 24 hours after I sent it. Dudley let me know that with the Angies List coupon, that my order would "barely be above the minimum order required of $500". I did feel the email 'conversation' was not customer friendly. Would like to make sure people are aware that there is a minimum and you need to provide a first pass at measurements in order to receive this companies attention.

I was satisfied with their work. They came by and measured the windows and he brought samples. It was very professionally done. They don't expect you to do the measuring, I didn't even have to ask he just said he'd see me on a certain day. The rest went smoothly. I have no reservations about calling them again. Everything went smoothly.

Owners were responsive from start to finish. Came out to the house shortly after we made our initial inquiry and provided an estimate. About 4-6 weeks later came out to install shutters (they had to be custom made). Installation took one day and the shutters look great.

Sales person arrived at appointed time, made measurements and sent quote by email later the same day. Shutters were ready in the time frame quoted and installer arrived promptly as promised.
