Terri was awesome!!! Terri is knowledgeable, a hard working person and a bundle of energy and enthusiasm. She responded to my phone call almost immediately and came out to view my situation, provided an estimate and we scheduled removal! The day of removal she sent over a very competent person and the job was completed in the exact of amount of time she quoted. She and I discussed many of my home concerns and she also gave me her advice regarding what I may need to do and who in her opinion I would be pleased to use. Her instincts were spot on!! I would definitely use Abatement Contractors again and recommend their services to anyone!!

ACU provides not only quality service, but the owner, Terri Cowart, is professional, respectful and communicates well with her customers. She delivers as promised and her crew is equally respectful and communicative. When I was initially getting quotes for the work, her pricing was mid-tiered. I wanted to give her my business, but was watching a budget, so I elected to go with the low bid. The difference in contractors, in my opinion, is customer service. After numerous attempts to get the low bid contractor to do the work, I gave up and went back to ACU. ACU delivered as promised, I am very happy with the results and would highly recommend. In addition, Terri is so knowledgeable in her field, that she saved me potentially thousands of dollars in other asbestos related work, by suggesting a more detailed lab test of my drywall mud, which tested negative (previous tests were positive). Thanks ACU, you're the best!

Professional remediation not necessary.

Terri and her team were professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. She was very flexible in accommodating a schedule that I required in that some of the work be done outside of her normal working hours. Then entire project took 4 days. The ACU team cleaned and scrubbed with a wire brush all wood framing, floor joists, and subflooring in the crawl space with a specialized mold cleaner/remover. They then applied a mold resistant fungicide coated to all of these wood areas. During and after this process negative air machines were used to "scrub" the air on the main floor above the crawl space. During the work, Terri was always available to answer questions, and she kept me well informed throughout the project. At the completion of the project, she sent me a report of the work done which included an unexpected bonus - a 2 year service warranty on the work performed and a 10-year Manufacturer's Warranty on the mold resistance fungicide treatment which had been applied to all wood surfaces in the crawl space.

I called Terri on a Thursday morning and she rearranged her schedule to come inspect my home for asbestos. She was able to deliver a fast and quality inspection that went above and beyond the professional level. I would absolutely recommend her company to anyone looking for abatement services. It turned out that we did not have the need for abatement but I still may call her in the future for renovation work as her pricing and dependability was top notch.

Terri came out the day I called to inspect the damage. She listened and carefully examined the spaces I was concerned about, after having backed up pipes soak my basement. She advised me about how to proceed if I wanted to get testing done, but thought the measures I had taken to clean up the mess were a good start and told me how to take the next steps. I was able to do the clean up myself.

What a pleasure working with Terri Cowart! She managed every bit of this week-long project at our house. She and her excellent team got on their hands and knees and hand-scraped every bit of mold out of our house. After scraping and wiping down, they used bio-green solutions to prevent any new mold growth. It was a huge job. They cleared out mold both in the crawl space basement and entire living area above the basement ---- every bit of it. They also removed all the 60-year-old air ducts in the house to make room for new ones. That was not easy either. Her team is a hard-working, punctual, friendly, and professional crew who takes pride in their work. I highly recommend Terri Cowart for any mold removal or duct removal work.

The owner was punctual and professional. Looked at the area to be removed and gave me a detailed and quick estimate of the cost. The crew worked well with the condo staff and no problems were reported. The company had more than the minimum liability insurance required by the association and also had the required workers' compensation insurance. The condo has many rules and regulations regarding construction workers in the building and all were complied with. When it looked as if they would not be able to finish in the time estimated, the owner put more men on the crew and it was finished when they said it would be. I was very well satisfied with their work.

Asbestos was found in the ceilings of all rooms on the first floor of my home at the beginning of a major renovation. This became a problem as the ceilings were in need of repair. Very involved. Very professional. Kept me informed at every step of the process. Arrived on time ready to start work. Interior walls of my home were sealed. A dumpster was brought on site and lined to receive the waste. The house was unsealed and all removal complete in less than a week.

She was punctual and professional, knowledgeable.

It went great. Their price was $1000 less expensive than a competitor. The whe process was explained to me & they came to work on short notice. The owner came out and did the quote and she was present throughout the entire job. She has a professional crew and she oversaw their work. The owner also took pictures of all of the damage & sent them to me afterwards. She also physically showed me the mold damage in areas before cutting out & treating the mold.

On time, job as promised, on budget. Very good detailed proposal and very good follow up. Left no mess... no trace in fact. Note: all this on the coldest day of the year.

Terri and her crew were very professional and knowledgeable. I had three other mold companies come out to the house, all of whom told me a different story about our mold issue and I did not feel like I was getting an accurate picture from any of them. I called around trying to find someone who was more knowledgeable and took the situation more seriously (one of the other companies actually tried to tell me I didn't even have a mold problem - and this was after my family was sick and a professional mold inspector had tested and found significant contamination - he clearly did not want the job). I was immediately impressed by Terri's willingness to speak with me in detail about the situation. Her explanation of the problem and proposal for remediation made much more sense than the others I was being offered. Her prices were a little higher than some of the competition, but having confidence that the job would be done right the first time around and a two year warranty to back it up was well worth it to us. We hired her and were very happy with the work done. She was on site to check on her crew every day, kept us updated on progress, answered any questions we had very promptly and stayed on time and on budget for the job. She was a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to hire her in the future, although I am really hoping I never have a house with a mold issue again!

Terri explained what she was going to do, and everything happened just as she said it would. There were no surprises, and she kept me informed of the works' progress. Her people were punctual and always busy. I could tell that they took their work seriously. Although some companies remove either mold or asbestos, ACU removes both, so scheduling and execution were much easier.

She helped guide me by reviewing the specifications for all the contacted work that needed to be done in the house. She was invaluable in answering general questions about the remodeling. She was prompt and patient with neophytes in the remodeling business. Highly recommend her.

Mold is a terrible and scary intruder. Finding a qualified professional to help is even scarier. I knew after our first meeting with Terri our home and health were in the right hands. She created an abatement plan for all three affected levels of our home, and was prepared for any additional damage found while removing interior and exterior walls, flooring and sub floors. Throughout the five day process Terri kept us apprised of every step being taken for abatement. Her expertise and planning lead to our home being completely mold free. Terri is the utmost professional who cares about the health and safety of her clients, their pets, and her team. If I gave a higher recommendation you, as the reader, would think I was a paid spokesman. We all know that can't happen on Angie's List, and Terri couldn't afford my fees :) Hire Terri and Hire the Best !!!

We contacted them when we determined that we had a mold problem in our basement. Terri inspected the problem areas and determined the cost and time to fix the problem and provided some scheduling options. They arrived on time, as scheduled and completed the work as scheduled. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the work, the cost and the adherence to schedule and price.

They were fabulous and I have pictures of before and the after. I would recommend them; they were wonderful in every respect- they were prompt, they told us in advance what to expect, they told us in advance how to prepare, they did everything they said they were going to do, and they did it for the price that we agreed upon. They cut out our ceiling in the kitchen, found the mold, checked all around and got rid of it.

Have been in this house since April - now all of it's whiskers and horns start showing. Had an old leak that had been repaired, but not the damage left behind. New leak (both areas had half-a** repairs) from he roof that showed up as more mold. They were prompt and polite, and got the job done in a timely fashion. I'd call again - but I'm hoping I don't have any additional mold problems!
