404 Movers

VERY IMPORTANT WARNING, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE 404 MOVERS! We contracted with 404 Movers to provide service to move our entire furnishings from our Cumming, GA home to our new Senoia, GA home. 404 Movers did not provide the service we expected and were promised. Additionally, 404 Movers engaged in a fraudulent business practice of “bait and switch” where a price was quoted and accepted only to be followed by an attempt to solicit additional charges for the service not completed. The first day of expected service was stopped due solely to negligent abandonment and stoppage of services by 404 Movers. The next day 404 MOVERS attempted to solicit additional charges for moving services to complete the service 404 Movers did not complete on the first day as promised. We were forced to hire another moving company at a cost of $565 to complete the move when 404 Movers did not arrive at the scheduled time on day two at 9 am nor 3 pm to complete the move. Below I will list the damages to both the furnishings and the home we were moving from. Please note that the home was for sale and numerous pictures are available to show the original condition of the home and furnishings. Also, the home had been thru two inspections which did not find any damage to the home. • A cherished curio cabinet was severely damage. Two of four legs and all four upper finials were broken completely off. The mirrored glass in the curio was broken. • A toilet seat in one the bathrooms was completely broken and pieces of it left on the floor and trash can. • A toilet was used by one of the movers and not completely flushed • Multiple dents in the walls required sheetrock repair and re-painting. • Mattresses appear to have been dragged across the wood floor of the truck leading to splinters and dirt on the fabric of the mattress. • Furniture items and appliances were dragged across wood and tile floors damaging them. Lastly, the lack of disrespect in the way items were handled that included, dragging them across carpet, tile, and hardwood floors, and bouncing the dolly when empty down the stairs or across the floors.

If you value your time and your sanity, BEWARE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We scheduled our move for 1 p.m. on a Saturday, got a confirmation call three days before, then another confirmation email the day before. But then come 1 o’clock? The movers never showed. They never called to tell us they weren’t coming, nothing. Absolute radio silence. Thinking they must just be running late, we spent three hours repeatedly calling to see where they were. At first, we were told that a 1:00 move was actually a window of 1pm-2pm. Convenient. But 2 p.m. came and went and they still never showed or called, nothing. The third-party weekend call center also has no access to their system, so our calls did no good anyway. And then eventually they stopped answering and sent us straight to voicemail. But they would pick up a call from my friend’s phone. Super sketchy. Do not believe a word they say. This company is a scam and should be investigated. I’m still kicking myself for not reading the reviews more closely online before hiring them. Do not use them. Hire someone reputable to move your stuff.

This has been by far the worst move I’ve had to pay hundreds of dollars for. You show up over 2.5 hours late, I call to get answers, no body picks up the phone for hours. I don’t get a communication of any kind until I send an email demanding my deposit back. When someone finally does show up, they get the job done but complained the whole time. I hope I don’t discover anything broken after how some of my items were handled, from what I’ve seen. And all this inconvenience just to be charged full price and have a $642 tab to pay, including my deposit. Definitely not worth $125 an hour. Big League never charged over $100/hour for two movers and they definitely were never late or ignored phone calls. Next time I’ll just wait on them, no matter how booked you they are instead of giving someone new a try again.

Movers were rude and did not want to do their job.

Based on my experience DON'T USE THEM!! The front end experience was very good....as in the lead up to the move. Communicated via email often to confirm the move and the details. The actually movers were a DISASTER and the followup was non-existent. One the day of the move the guys doing the move were nice enough. THEN I watch one of them movers drag one of my 6 pieces of furniture across the concrete on its side! I stopped him and showed him what he did right there on the spot. Then we unwrapped the rest of the furniture once they got it in the condo. They had scratched the front of the flat screen TV, rubbed completely off two spots of the leather sofa, scratched the side of a chest and the damage to the piece mentioned prior. They also scratched the floor on the outbound condo. The guys did not dispute they ruined my sofa or scratch the rest of the furniture!!! They wrote it all up on the paperwork. I called the office the next day and was told to email bookings@404movers.com. I did and got a response to set up a time for inspection. I organized with my concierge to walk them through my condo while I was on a trip starting the NEXT day. They never followed through. When I returned from my trip I tried again. Again Jeffery J asked for meeting times then never followed through. At this point I have tried 3 times to get them to follow up on the claim and THEY have chosen to not follow through.

The wrong size truck was sent so we had to move over two days and pay nearly double the original quote. A valuable piece of furniture was damaged and, a month later, we have no resolution. I do not recommend using this company.

The experience was the best I've had. I have moved, interstate and intrastate, 4 times in the last 6 years. For this, my final move - at least for a few years - I wanted a "no-drama" experience. That's exactly what I had with 404 Movers. They gave me a fair price, showed up on time, worked quickly but carefully, unloaded and placed everything where I asked. The company and its' representatives were professional, and there were no surprises in pricing or any other aspect of the move. I would refer them to friends with no hesitation.

yikes. I recently hired (what I thought was) 404 Movers for a recent move, after seeing great reviews. Turns out, it was a subcontract, which I knew nothing about until someone else showed up at my door (2 hours late!...with zero explanation) the day of the move. While the front office people were great before, during and after the horrific move, I cannot in good conscience recommend, as you just don't know who you are getting the day of (late, slow, damaged property, rude "customer service" reps). The move went so badly that it's been disputed with my credit card company...

Cornelius and Charles did an excellent job. Moved furniture from one house to another and unloaded a pod.

Where do I start.... First it was so easy to book my move and pay the deposit online. I had already called and Jeff helped me out and answered all of my questions and instructed me on how to book my move. Next, Michael called me a few days before to confirm details and ask a few questions about my move to make sure they were prepared. Day of move: I got a call to let me know when the movers were in route to my pickup point. I had 2 pickup points (my friend's place to pickup some items and then my storage unit with the rest of my stuff). Issac and Gabriel were very professional and competent! They notified me of any piece that they notice had previous damage and we're careful with my things. They worked expeditiously and even made sure to take the shortest route between destinations. My move was easy and as stress free thanks to Michael, Issac, and Gabriel!
