PERFECT! Highly recommend!

I am a caretaker of a summer home in Athens, GA. The house is owned by a retired attorney whose permanent residence is in Colorado Springs, CO. My client recently requested that I make arrangements to have an expensive mahogany wall unit entertainment center packed and shipped to his son who will be shortly closing on a new home in Parker, CO. His son requested that delivery be made in about two weeks, which was very short notice for booking a move. I requested pricing from three well established national movers. Allied Van Lines took my information, then sent me an email the next day declining to offer a quote. Although the freight was 4 large high value pieces weighing over 750 lbs it evidently wasn't deemed profitable enough for Allied to be bothered with. I appreciate them at least giving me the courtesy of sending an email response. The second company, Southeast Van Lines took all my information and told me that one of their estimators would call me back shortly, i never heard anything else from them. Mike Roman, at University Movers, the Bekins Van Lines representative in Athens took my information and asked me to give him a little time and he would see if he could help me out. In less than an hour, he called me back and said that he couldn't make a promise, but he thought he could possibly take care of my needs. This was around 6 o'clock in the evening. Over the next several hours we traded several text messages exchanging information. Well, to make a long story short, by 2 o'clock the following day the Mike's people had the wall unit packed, loaded and on the way to Parker, CO. I couldn't possibly ask for more prompt or professional service. I highly recommend University Movers and they will be my "go to" movers for my future needs. We were very unhappy with them. They misquoted the weight. There was quite a bit of damage to our furniture. Almost every piece of wood furniture was damaged someway, plus other things were broken like coffee pots. They lost the hardware to put the bed frame together, so we had to get it done. My husband was able to find the correct tool to do it himself. When the second load arrived ten days later, the hardware for the bed was kept on the patio chair. We were lied a lot and we were never told where the rest of the furniture was. It had been in the storage for a couple of weeks and then repacked to the truck. They didn't put the packing to the furniture, so there were scratches and things from the truck. The heat and sweating don't do a lot of good things to the wood. It was a bad experience. We haven't had a lot of things. We are still filling up damage for them. We will not recommend them to anybody. The packers at the very beginning were nice enough. They were young kids and did a really good job, except for one of them. He was the one who lost the hardware. It was cheaper when we got other quotes, but it didn't end up like that. They were punctual.

great friendly staff. Came to my house to give an estimate and brought me boxes to pack if I felt like it.......just having had surgery and trying to move to a new home. The 3 men showed up on time and worked hard all day with great attitudes even with large furniture and tight staircases. I was very impressed with their teamwork. I had no complaints from start to finish with this company and if I were to ever have to move again I would call them in a second!
