They were contracted to replace our shutters and paint the exterior of our home. It took them 3 months just to paint the exterior! There were messes made of our yard and they took down two trees. Our drive was pavement was cracked in multiple places. They constantly left our hose water on and broke our front water faucet. He took 1/2 the cost (0ver &5000) to order the shutters but then he never ordered them or refunded our money. Yes the job was eventually finished (sans shutters) but it was a very tedious and disruptive process.

Tom Edge and his team are outstanding. They did a fabulous job remodeling our kitchen. Our 34-year old cabinets look much better than when they were originally installed. Electrician, plumber, painters, and related subcontractors work as a seamless team. Communication was excellent and everyone was easy to work with. They take pride in their work. Unlike some contractors who tell you what they can't do, TDE accomplishes what the customer wants if it is at all obtainable. Highly recommended-would rate them the best in my 43 years of home ownership in different locales.

I called to see if they would hang some wallpaper. The lady on the other end was rude, and very unprofessional. I would never call them again.

Work somewhat delayed because of the rain. Can't expect paint to dry if it's raining. The workers did a great job. Went above & beyond what I requested: they wiped down the ceiling to eliminate mold, power washed wicker tables, carefully removed the porch swing to avoid paint splatters, & tucked canvas under all spots being painted.

Tom came and assessed what we needed. He was frank and told us since it was a minor job he will let us know exactly when things will be done. He managed to have the electric part for the new drier and the platform to be done the same day.

It went extremely well. Tom Edge, the owner was great to work with. He wanted us to be happy, and was prompt on returning any calls or texts. His construction supervisor over the project, Joel, was also great. He was a perfectionist in getting things done right, and explaining to us why or why not certain things could be done. We were more than pleased with their work!

Tom and his whole crew are the ultimate professionals. They provided extremely detailed quotes, guided us through the purchasing choices for materials to be used, and let us know immediately of any changes needed in the scope of work. They found a fairly major problem with previous foundation work that we had done. Thankfully that contractor fully honored their warranty. Tom's crew met them on site and essentially "supervised" their repairs to be insure the integrity of the job. They also found significant rot in the walls around our chimney and provided options for remediation. Their communication and pricing structure were extremely clear. You could probably get simple work done more cheaply, but would likely pay for it in the long run!

I could not be happier with the process and the result! Tom always answered his phone, never missed an appointment, kept me updated all the time. His crew was topnotch, both in the work that they performed, and also their attitude. They started on the day scheduled, they finished on the day scheduled. They cleaned after themselves at the end of every work day. If a problem aroused, they fixed or send for someone to come and fix it same day, and I live far. Dealing with Tom was pleasant, and I had no surprises on my bill. Everything was disclosed beforehand. No work was performed without my approval, and I was always informed of the costs. On top of it, TDE had the best pricing bid for the work. I am happy I found a contractor I can count on and trust. My husband and I have many projects planned for our home, and I will be contacting Tom Edge for every one of them.

There was only one hitch, and it was not the fault of TDE, but the kitchen floor manufacturer/installer ( not a sub-contractor) - I might not have even noticed it, but not only did TDE catch it, but they insisted the floor be replaced at no cost to me. Joel Rinckey's attention to detail is amazing. Every one on the crews worked really hard. The job was competed by the time promised.

We wanted our deck to be pressure washed and then painted/sealed. We first made contact in early May. Even after agreeing that someone would come out to assess the property, this didn't happen until two weeks later, and we were given last-minute notice that someone was coming (like, 15 minutes notice-luckily we had left our gate open). Still, the price was right, so we signed a contract May 26th with the expectation the work would take place by early July, as fit our schedule. No one came to our house to do the work and it was only after several weeks (and prompting on our end) that someone showed up unexpectedly on August 7th and powerwashed our deck (I was on an international flight and saw that I had been emailed/called about a half an hour before the work, again luckily, my husband was able to open the gate). We waited a couple weeks after the powerwashing had been done with no sign of anyone coming to paint, so finally cancelled that part of the contract and paid $275 for a powerwash that probably could have been done much faster and cheaper if all we wanted was a powerwash in the first place. All our dealings were cordial, and the deck looks good enough-I just wish the job could have actually been completed, and on time.

We interviewed several contractors before deciding to hire TDE construction to finish our basement. We are ,and could not be any happier with our decision to hire Tom Edge and his team. From the start we noticed the attention to detail,whether it was Tom Edge himself, or his employees. They came up with ideas to improve the design, and layout before they started work. Once they started,the work completion came in perfect layers. It was fascinating to watch.. The core team that worked on our basement (Joel,Chris,Michael,and Wayne) were punctual,polite, and professional at every point. If there was a change or delay it was communicated immediately. They even helped us clear out the work area before they started (for that alone they receive major points). In the end, I said to my wife as we stood in the finished basement. "This is above expectations". .I am not one to write reviews,but this type of work deserves a review. We have never been happier with a home project. We have recommended TDE construction to our neighbors. Thanks Tom.

TDE Construction was great! Definitely the best contractors/renovators I've worked with since I bought my house a decade ago. Tom and Joel had great suggestions for saving money and hassle. Everything came out SO much nicer than I thought it would. They exceeded my expectations for sure. Arrived early and worked full days. Highest recommendation.

I can tell you that everyone who worked on my bathroom was professional. I could nothave been in better hands. The results from tear down to finish was Awesome.

Tom and the TDE crew did an excellent job with our remodeling and repair work. I had never hired a contractor or had such a large job done on my house before. Out of several contractors that I contacted for estimates, TDE was the only one to follow through with it. Tom was very responsive through our many revisions to the scope of our project, and was willing to put forth the extra time and paperwork that were necessary for us to get our renovation loan. Even though there were a couple small issues with work done by subcontractors, it was easy to get the problems fixed and all of the work was completed in a timely manner. Our basement and screened porch turned out so nice, it almost felt like we bought a new house. I feel very fortunate to have hired TDE and recommend them 100%. They will be at the top of our list to contact for any future work we may need done.

True to my expectation, Joel and crew did an amazing job and worked with me to get just the look I wanted in the master suite. They pay meticulous attention to detail and clean up incredibly well when they leave. Joel actually designed a mantle and fireplace surround for me based on several pictures I showed him. While they were here, we discovered a leak in the downstairs bathroom. They also repaired and repainted that. The price was fair and they finished on time. Joel and Tom communicated with me throughout the project. I will definitely use them for the next phase.

On time for pricing meeting. Removed rusty old gas barbeque and capped gas line. On time next morning removed complete 12' x 16' deck with two sets of stairs. Following day installed all new deck with customized stairs and hand rail. Two man crew Joel and Chris did a outstanding job, leaving the area clean. I would recommend TDE FOR ANY WORK.

The work was professionally done and the crews were fantastic. Tom was always available to take questions and treated our job as if it were the pressing work of the day. He also handled problems immediately--the cabinet had been painted with the wrong paint finish initially. It took one call and it was repainted first thing the next morning. As is often noted: there are always problems/mix-ups with any job, therefore how a company handles them is the difference between a mediocre and a great one. I would definitely hire Tom and TDE Construction again and would recommend them to anyone who needs any kind of work done around the house.

They were very efficient. Cleaned up afterwards. One single board started curling up again (about 2 months later; work originally completed in mid April) and when we called they came out and repaired it asap. I was originally quoted 3 prices, a low, an anticipated and a worst-case, which was very nice for budgeting, and I received the quote very promptly after contacting the company. The 2 gentlemen who came to do the actual work discussed with me whether I wanted to replace or salvage and we wound up doing a combination. I tacked on replacing the caps as a last minute job once they'd finished (it really needed it!) and they were *super gracious* and knocked it out the same day. Work was completed in less than 2 days. I can't honestly speak to how they are on price since they were the only contractors who'd come out to the sticks to see us. However, based on supply and demand, they get an "A", and I felt the price was reasonable based on conversations I've had with neighbors who've had similar work completed and the quality of work done.

The 2014 job of repair and replacement of pipes, ceiling, wiring, and walls was done absolutely perfectly and very quickly. This is the first emergency work that TDE has done for me, but over the years they have done complete house painting (inside and out) twice, complete kitchen renovation, 2 complete bathroom renovations, and 2 partial bath renovations. Each of these major projects was done completely to my satisfaction. Owner Tom Edge is always very interested in having good communication about the goals of each project. He is quite knowledgeable about new construction materials and techniques. He has been very helpful in dealing with suppliers when negotiations have been necessary. TDE workers are all very highly skilled artisans with complete attention to detail and total interest in doing the very best job possible. They leave the work site as clean as possible every day and absolutely completely clean at the end of the project. I have heartily recommended TDE, without hesitation, to others many times over the 15 years he has worked for me on various projects. I will continue to do so in the future.

We've used TDE Construction/Painting for several years now on many different jobs, and have never been disappointed with their work. They probably aren't the "cheapest" guys around, but they are definitely the best in town. Their employees are professional, on time, courteous, and do a fantastic job. We've hired them to do exterior and interior painting, as well as many other jobs around the house that needed done (hanging artwork, caulking, electrical work, plumbing, etc.). We've recommended them to many of our friends/neighbors and they've all expressed their thanks for the recommendation. We would highly recommend TDE Construction for large jobs, as well as small "honey do" jobs. They are absolutely fantastic!

Our front porch (8.5' x 10.5') is brick-covered cement that has a 3-step access on each side. The house was built in 1985 and we are the third owners. A porch railing was never installed by previous owners, even though the front elevation on the original house plans showed such a railing. We had thought about installing a custom wrought iron railing, but TDE, Inc. recommended that we consider an aluminum railing with a baked enamel black finish in order to reduce costs. The porch/step railing is approximately 18' in length with a total of 5 upright supports. Circular holes for supports were cut through the brick using a water-cooled machine and supports were cemented in place. Four railing panels were then installed: two across the front of the porch and one on each side down the steps. Unique feature is that railing panels could be installed straight across or angled down the steps. Result is a lovely metal railing resembling custom wrought iron work but at a much lower cost. As always, TDE, Inc. workmanship is outstanding.

They were very professional and we are all very pleased. I will be using them again for other projects.

The original oven/microwave combination was removed from our built-in kitchen cabinet. All our kitchen cabinets are oak and the oven cabinet required carpentry in order to accommodate the new double ovens. Carpentry involved removal of the shelf partition which supported the microwave and the alteration of the cabinet opening to dimensions required for double oven installation. Carpentry was of superior quality and the adjusted cabinet looks as if it was designed for the new double ovens. A new electric line also was installed from the breaker in the basement in order to meet the voltage requirements of the new ovens. The old electric cooktop was removed from its countertop location and the opening had to be slightly enlarged in order to accommodate the new cooktop. Again, the carpentry was of superior quality and the new cooktop was installed without any damage to either the countertop or supporting cabinet. These new appliances look as if they were original to the kitchen as all cabinet adjustments were done extremely well.
