We did a 5 year plan with them for a few properties. The guy we worked with was very helpful with that. We have this one little property which is 150sq feet and it had termites and right next to it we have another property, so we said they should inspect that while they were there. That is a regular sized property which is about 1800sq feet. He said if they are close enough and they are x number of linear feet, he could do it as one treatment, and he did. Thankfully the big house did not have any termite, but they did the whole thing for both properties, adn it cost me the same as it would have for one house, and he is the one who suggested that. Thats how he was the first time around and he was the same this time as well. He was basically looking out for my interest. Bob is the guy who did the inspection and cost and he is the one who handles customer service, and they had the same guy do the treatment on both different jobs. The one that was 3 or 4 months ago and this one as well. He has been doing it for about 20 years although he is a younger guy. He did his job. He was polite, and personable. We talked for a little while which was good I thought instead of being all business and no personality whatsoever. They worked with me. I had to remove the hot water heater under the little house, becuase it was in the line of where they had to dig a trench in order to treat. For live termites, you have to have a continuous trench and he worked with me for what worked best for me. He was very flexible. He had plenty of other stuff to do, but he didn't mind it at all. I didn't get the sense that he was at all perturbed about the fact that he had to wait for me. He arranged it so he didn't have to wait for me. He seemed to know what he was doing, and he did it quickly. I got another estimate from a big local company, and it was the same except with Orkin I got a discount and he is the one who offered and said that we could do this and that. He worked it as it was a package instead of looking at it as a service. The price was fair, but he works to give you any discount if he can. I have seen advertisements that cost more. He looked out for my best interest and got creative to give me the best pricing. I liked the way they did things. Both the guys that did it were down to earth. They weren't aloof which some professionals might be because they need to do the job.

The inspector, Bob, responded in a very timely and professional manner. He took his time to do a comprehensive inspection of the property, a large old house. After mapping out the property he reported that we were free from any active colonies and offered his plan for preventative treatment, the sentricon system. He then offered various payment plans as well as discounts for up front and multi-year arrangements. The inspection was free. We actually called another company to get another opinion and another bid. They came and were professional and informative, but not as thorough in their inspection. Their price was also higher and they offered no multi-year discounts. Bob was very caring about our personal situation and showed respect for the people here and the property. If you get him to do your inspection, you will get a job well done. The installation of the system was done by a team of two who also respected the property and the residents. The lead fellow remembered having been here 12 years ago and he applied that experience to do his installation with greater care, precision, and efficiency. I was pleased to see that Orkin cared about their work from that long ago to remember details. We had a great experience with Orkin in Athens, GA and will consider them for other pest needs in addition to termites.
