I liked the job that he did. He did a reasonably good job. I'm a little disappointed that he replaced the ceiling light with a string and not a chain. The price was a bit high, but I guess that's what they all charge. He did his best. I did like the job that he did in the utility room. His responsiveness was pretty good. He was very thorough. I was not expecting him to put the lamp cover back on, but he did. He did the extra step by putting the light cover back on.

He came in and did a really good job on the overhead light on the kitchen sink. I don't know what he did, but it has never worked better. The light comes on, no moisture. He did a wonderful job.

The technician arrived on time and was pleasant enough. We were preparing to physically move our house to a new location on our property. We had existing service at the house and there was another existing meter at the barn next to the new location. After looking at the situation, he wrote up an estimate for disconnecting the existing service, installing a new meter box on the house at the new location and connecting the new service after the move. The quote for all of this was around $1,400. I asked why we needed a new meter and was told that the old one would not meet code because it did not have an external shut off. I also asked why the reconnect cost over $300 and was told that the metal water lines needed to be properly grounded. I explained that there were no metal water lines (all pex) and he changed the story to grounding the metal natural gas lines. I also asked about the $100 fee for the electrical permit and was told that was what it costs. At this point, he left. After calling a couple of other electricians, the stories did not add up so I called the local building inspector and found out that the existing meter box was just fine and natural gas lines did not need to be grounded. In fact, I needed no electrician at all as the local power company performed the disconnect and reconnect for free. Also, the electrical permit was only $50. If I had used Mister Sparky for the services, I would have paid over $1,300 for no reason.

They're very thorough, they clean up and very knowledgeable with what they do.

We had a lightening strike near our house that knocked out the garage door opener. Mr Sparky came, worked on the switch for about 10 minutes and left me with a more than $300 bill. Now the garage door opener is out again but I sure won't call them.

The problem outlet was hidden behind a filing cabinet. He was patient and professional about finding the problem outlet. Once he found the problem, he wrote up an estimate, ranging from fixing the outlet to replacing all the switches and outlets on the second floor to replacing the electrical panel (due to the age of the house). We picked the second option of fixing the problem outlet and replacing all of the second floor switches and outlets, because of safety issues. Even though all this took a considerable amount of time, Andy was very patient, very professional, and went out of his way to be as accommodating as possible. This is the second time we used Mr Sparky, the first time they were still Red's Electric, and will use them again as the need arises.

Mister Sparky - Athens' workers were very professional. They were careful about being in the house and not being dirty but it was like dealing with robots, including the management . It was hard to have a conversation with them because it was always pre-programmed responses. I didn't appreciate how the whole job came down. It was very expensive and I didn't feel like they completed the job or the way the company interacted with me. They demanded payment before the job was done. I didn't like the way they worked for a larger job but maybe if they did something simple it would have been okay. I would not recommend them to anyone.

He wasn't very thorough, and didn't answer all of my questions. But I have had a good experience with this company previously.

Our bedroom wires were not working properly. We called Mr. Sparky to see what was wrong. We'd used them when they were Red Electric when we first moved into our house for a few things. The have been the only electricians we have used in Athens, GA and we had been happy with them. A technician came out to fix the issue, replaced switches and plugs. One month later the problem returned and we had to change out the entire switch panel and it was technician #2 that found a burned out switch. The thing that upset my husband was that the first man was here for a few hours switching out plates that we could have done ourselves. He also did the power surge protection that he recommended. He was here for about 2-3 hours perhaps less. We had a bill of 1600 and felt like we paid way way too much in fact we felt like we'd been taken. If you break it down to an hourly rate it was over 500 an hour for his time. So after that I felt like I'd made a HUGE mistake. So, one month later, the problem is back and the technician discussed this with the owner I guess unless it was a manager, I do not know and said that the work would cost 1000. We had already paid 1600 and the problem was solved incorrectly. We had to negotiate for them to lower it when really it should have been done for free. Total cost 2200.

ONE BIT OF ADVICE: When the service technician asks if you'd like a "free" inspection of your electrical systems (or something like that), graciously decline. The tech eventually spent more time in my home on that than the work. The "Mr. Sparky" system is evidently designed to (1) generate more work, if needed; and, (2) sell you a $99/year maintenance plan, which is worth it if your home's electrical system is somewhat "iffy." But, if your home is new and to-code, skip it... Minimum service fee from their estimate sheet will be $99 ... Highest on it is their "Level 10" service for $1043.

The technician arrived promptly, was completely professional, and did an excellent job hanging the chandelier. Our dissatisfaction is not with his service but with the fact that Mr. Sparky tries to convince you that your entire house is need of major electrical work every time they come. We in fact need some additional work, but have found another electrician HIGHLY RATED by Angie's list who has now come over and agreed to do the work we need for $400+ rather than the many thousands of dollars of work that Mr. Sparky was suggesting.

It went great! Patrick arrived on time and explained, in detail, what needed to be done and the cost. This was no easy task because my house is so close to the ground.....not much height in the crawlspace. Patrick did a very neat job and cleaned up aftwerwards. I was very pleased with the work performed and with how pleasant Patrick is to deal with. The times that I've talked to the ladies in the office at Mr. Sparky, they were always very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Mr. Sparky; I have a few more projects and will definitely call this company to do the work.

Very good company. On time, professional, did all the work I requested and I like the up front pricing...no surprises. Will use these guys again!

They are very clean and know what they are doing. They did an exceptional job. I would definitely use them again in the future.

The tech seemed to be lost. I showed him what I wanted but then stood around waiting for something. I finally excused myself. He wrote up the estimate that included a 1 yr warranty plan, although I don't remember exactly what it was for. As soon as he showed me the price, they were off my list.

They have a format with very clear guidelines about procedures and costs. They're very well organized and give a clear idea about what they're going to do. They offer pros and cons about whether to do particular projects and they were respectful about things I didn't want them to do. They were very prompt. They wear very clean uniforms with "booties" on their feet so they don't track mud or dirt into the house. They clean up after themselves, they are highly qualified and knowledgeable people. They were also very clear with pricing and went through with what they said they were going to do. They have a program in which you pay an annual fee to get priority service and a 15% discount on everything. I did that and it saved me money. The whole project was a very worthwhile thing for me to do. It was a pleasure getting to know Patrick. I felt totally comfortable having him in my home.
