I have used this company for several smaller projects off and on since 2013 and have been very pleased with the quality and service. This more recent experience was much larger in scale from previous projects and, again, they delivered just what we were looking for. They were courteous, helpful and willing to discuss decisions I needed to make along the way. There were a few minor mishaps that the company promptly and professionally rectified. The project did take a little longer than we had hoped, but I think most of that was from all the rain we had at the start. Overall, the attention to detail and quality of work is superior. I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

The guesthouse addition turned out beautifully and better than we had imagined from the designs. From the outside, the addition matches the old house and the rest of the neighborhood perfectly. We've gotten many compliments from the neighbors too.

This project required meticulous attention to detail and a level of artistic craftsmanship and creativity in problem solving that could not be entrusted to just any builder. MacDougald Construction were the perfect company to accomplish the truly daunting task at hand which involved the complete renovation and addition to an 1880's home that had been abandoned for over 30 years. At every level of construction, from initial gutting of the house to the final touches added to mesh the new addition to the original structure, the skill of their crew and especially their master carpenter was evident in the level of preservation and quality of work that was achieved. Highly recommended for when top quality building is required.
