We actually looked around for a contractor who could do that kind of work. A lot of the contractors in this area only do a lot bigger projects. Then we got a name of someone from a friend of ours. We also got the name from another company who generally does a lot bigger projects. One of the contractors came and gave us a quote and we never heard anything from him again. However, we finally found about Generation X Groups online. I was a little bit hesitant since the only review on there was from someone who said that they were his cousin. So, I was a bit uncertain about using someone who was highly recommended only from a family member. However, the contractor ended up coming out to give us a quote and this was on a Monday or a Tuesday. He then came on Friday to fix our floor and it was done. Moreover, it was the only bathroom that we had in our house. I wouldn?t be able to compare their price with any other contractor since there was no one who was willing to follow through. We did have some problem after the work was done, but the contractor came out and fixed it.

I must admit I was scared to use this contractor because we are related (cousins). I have always been told don't loan relative money and don't hire them to work for you. I decided to use this contractor because after first contact he was prompt to call as I had asked him to call. He came to the propery on the second day after that and took measurement, then asked me details about what I wanted. Within 2 days he was back with an estimate of all cost involved. I looked over the paper, made a few changes and he was back the next day with the proper adjustment. I do swear and affirm that the statement below where I made a check mark are true except that I have already revealed that this person is a cousin. The project went very well overall. They cleaned up inside and outside and the contractor came the next day after the finish to take the debris trailer away and do a final look over and again asked was I satisfied and how were thing going? The area where they were working inside and out never looked trashy or in disarray. The workmen were respectful and when in doubt about the placement of certain things would take the time to ask me instead of installing and having to do it over. They even asked me which side I wanted the ceiling fan blades hung. There was flooding in the area where some of the carpenters lived and for 2 day the contractor had replacement carpenter and workers come in. The contractor visited the site every day. This has been a very pleasant experience for me considering the horror stories I had heard about this type of work. I intend to remodel my kitchen and will definitely call this company. I feel they did not spend excessive time on the project and I never got antsy or anxious about them finishing. Every day they were here I could see progress whether it was electrical, painting or carpentry.
