Every homeowners nightmare. The AC unit never worked properly even though we used it maybe a total of 20 days over 5 years. We would get it repaired and it would be non functional the next time we turned it on. They came out at least 5 times and had a new type of charge each time. After the last repair that didn't work I finally called and complained and the manager was remarkable arrogant and truculent. He had no interest in helping me get this unit working. He actually told me the reason the unit wasn't working was because we didn't use it enough! I did hire another vendor to repair the AC and it works fine. They said the unit had an obvious freon leak. It seems clear to me that D&D let this leak go unfixed so they could keep charging us scam repair fees. When I demanded my money back for the last repair that didn't work he told if I want my money back i had to drive to his office in the middle of no where to get a refund. I was actually worried about my safety with this ruffian manager and had no intention of going to his business. Without exception this was the worst vendor I have ever hired!

It took 3 days to complete as they were starting from scratch in a 100 year old house that had no heat or air. Scott & his crew were punctual & professional. They consulted me about placement of vents & returns before cutting any holes. Everything went well & is working great. We are thrilled to have heat & AC!

We find D&D service personnel to be very professional and well-trained. On the down side, they have no emergency service so if a system fails on a weekend, you are SOL. They also do not answer phone calls outside business hours and have no answering service. You leave a message--they get it when they open the office--they do try to respond then but you may be all weekend without heat or A/C...and it could be a three-day weekend!

Received an estimate only of units needing replacement. They were punctual with appointment but not the best price.

The install went perfectly. They came out to do the rough in of the main unit and duct lines. It took the 3 men about a little less than 2 days to complete the work. They were very courteous and went about there business in a professional manner. After the interior was finished, they return for about a half day to complete the job and turned the unit on. It works wonderfully and the basement is very comfortable. Even on a very cold night, the heat only runs about 15-20 minutes per hour. I believe it will be a very inexpensive addition to our power bill. I will use them again in the future.

D and D was the most reasonable bidder on our job for HVAC, and we were extremely pleased with their performance. They were on time, on budget, with no extras or overruns. They came whenever we called them, even if it turned out to be not their fault, issue, or problem. Once, right after we had the hardwood floors finished, the AC went out, and we were very concerned about the wood swelling with the heat and humidity. Within 15 minutes of our call, they were onsite, dealing with and fixing the problem...which turned out not to be a problem at all but rather our ignorance about the system. Dennis is very professional, very friendly, eager to help, to offer advice, and his attitude is reflected in his crew, which are cooperative, efficient, helpful, and clean workers. We recommend them without reservation and would use D and D again for any construction project involving HVAC.
