Overall, I could not have hoped for a more pleasurable experience. The estimate was detailed, thorough, complete and very professional looking. The estimator went over every detail with me. After the house was pressure Washed, I was introduced to the Crew Leader who was articulate and very comfortable with answering all my questions. The amount of detail and attention shown, from preparation to the final day of painting, was truly a very pleasurable and educational experience. Vision Painting delivered on an Excellent Paint job at a very fair price. They are the Painter i will keep.
Description of Work: The Exterior of my house was Pressure Washed, wood repairs made and replaced with rot resistant materials prior to my entire House (Siding and Trim) being painted..

Last Saturday I had the WORST customer experience with a Vision Painting employee that I can recall with any company in recent memory. I found the employee?s behavior rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful. I hired Vision Painting last summer to paint my home?s exterior. The project manager assigned to my job, Steve, was wonderful. He worked with me from the project?s inception to conclusion. He provided me with a detailed estimate, he collaborated with me on color and paint selections, and he accommodated my work schedule. This was extremely important to me as a working parent who was attending graduate school at the time. Steve didn?t hesitate to answer my questions, and take or return my calls. His professional expertise was invaluable. When the job was complete, it exceeded my expectations. He and I agreed the approximately $7,000 for the paint job was money well spent, because a professional paint job in combination with Sherwin-William Paint was an investment that would increase my home?s value. Well imagine how disappointed I felt in May when I noticed the paint on my shudders buckling in less than a year. Because I was well within my warranty, I didn?t hesitate to call Vision Painting to fix the problem. When I called, they agreed to scrape and repaint the shudders. They were somewhat slow to respond claiming delays due to rainy weather. I had to make several follow-up calls to finally get them to put me on their schedule. When they finally came out in June about a week and a half ago, I was annoyed to discover additional drill holes next to the screws that affix the shudders to the house. I immediately called Vision Painting to express my dissatisfaction. Connie, the office manager, told me she would send a manager as soon as possible to assess the situation. I requested she tell the individual she dispatched to call me when they arrived at my home. Well imagined how shocked I was when someone from Vision Painting rang my doorbell Saturday morning, although I never received a call. Since the individual was unexpected and unannounced, I had to get dressed. I did as quickly as possible. When I met the Vision Painting manager in front of my home, I proceeded to explain the secondary holes I discovered on my shudders. He abruptly told me the worker(s) told him they didn?t remove the shudders, therefore they weren?t responsible for the holes. I responded by explaining the holes weren?t there before. Feeling the situation was becoming heated, I attempted to calmly explain my concerns again. He continued to escalate the situation by describing my concerns as ?ridiculous accusations.? Finally I asked him, haven?t you ever heard the saying, ?the customer is always right?? He told me, ?THE CUSTOMER ISN?T ALWAYS RIGHT.? I told him, ?Sir, I know my house, and those holes weren?t there before. I paid Vision Painting almost $7,000 for a quality paintjob. Therefore I expect quality workmanship.? He then said something regarding he looks at houses all day, and most people don?t know their houses. ?I told him, ?Well I?m not one of those people.? Then I proceeded to walk away. Then he told me wait a minute, and proceeded to tell me how upset he gets when people walk away from him. I found his behavior irrational, considering I was the customer and not his employee, he wasn?t attempting to resolve my issue, and I was on my own property and going inside my own home. I received a text from him later that morning on June 30th at 11:13 AM. ?Even though I absolutely do not think we did it, I am sending a guy over today to patch or replace holes.? Considering his offer was unapologetic, questioned my integrity, was filled with denial, and lacked my consent, I declined it. I responded at 1:32 PM, ?Please do not take any further action at this time, until I contact your company. Thank you.? He then replied, ?He is already at the house working on it.? I found this extremely irritating and disrespectful, because I NEVER gave my consent for him to proceed with any additional work. I replied, ?Tell him to leave. You do not have my consent.? I feel my customer service experience with Vision Painting did a complete 180 degree turn from extremely positive to extremely negative. Instead of trying to offer me a reasonable solution to give me what I believe I paid for and was therefore entitled to. Vision Painting tried to convince me I was somehow responsible for the very problem I called them to remediate. I couldn?t believe it. The shudders were included in my $7000 paint job. Why would Vision Painting think I would drill additional holes in my own shudders, then call them to fix buckling paint, and then tell them to fix those same additional holes? But I?m the one who?s ridiculous according to them! Now that I know what kind of company Vision Painting is I would NEVER use them again, and I would NEVER recommend them. Ironically, I was going to ask Vision Painting to give me an estimate for my home?s interior last Saturday. But now that I know how they treat their customers and they don?t represent or warrant their work in good faith, they can forget it.
Description of Work: I hired Vision Painting to paint my home's exterior. This included all trim, shudders, gutters, garage, door, etc. Paint colors were changed. They pressure washed the house and fence. They stained the fence in addition to the house. Holes were filled and rotted wood, molding, and siding were replaced as needed. All repairs were supposed to be caulked, puttied, and primed prior to being painted. They were supposed to use Sherwin-Williams Paint. They were also supposed to use two coats.

Response from VISION PAINTING INC
Member called for a warranty claim on her shutters on 5/8/12 at which time she was told we would send someone out to take a look at it and then we would get it on the schedule to be repaired. Robert Sawyer had a site visit on 5/18 to review the claim. Member called again to ask when she would be taken care of and we told her that we were a little behind due to the amount of rain. On 6/24 one of our crew leaders repaired the area in question. The warranty claim was actually an item that was excluded from our warranty but we took care of it as part of our excellent customer service. The shutters were vinyl shutters and previously painted several times. The original prefinished color was black and then was changed to green and then a burgundy color. The bubbles she is referring to was the original paint peeling off as the original painter never primed the vinyl shutters prior to painting. All layers of paint peeled off down to the bare vinyl shutter. Again, we took care of the issue even though it is clearly excluded from our warranty. After the warranty repair was done Member called and stated we drilled holes in her shutters and she wanted it repaired. Again, we told her we would look at it. Her shutters are mounted in brick and even when we painted her house initially, we never removed her shutters from the house. Each shutter has 6 holes in them with screws and a couple have an additional hole in the corner. The warranty claim did not require removal of the shutters, nor did the original paint job on the house. You can clearly see paint build up around the holes and multiple layers of paint indicating that the holes had been there. Member stated she never noticed them before and would have seen them but obviously she did not notice them when the shutters were green before we painted or when we finished painting and they were burgundy. She was notified on Friday 6/29 that someone would be on out on Saturday 6/30 to review the situation but we did not know what time. She stated to us over the phone that if she was not present, to call her on her mobile. When at the house, the bell was rung to notify her that someone was there. She was not dressed and asked to wait. When she came out, she immediately was accusatory and rude. Although she refused to actually listen, the explanation was provided as to what happened and that there was no chance that the holes were put there by the individual doing the warranty claim or even when we painted the house. She did not want to hear anything and actually walked away while talking to her. Member never actually listened or stayed around long enough for her to hear that we were going to take care of it even though it really was not an issue we created. Again, another situation where we are more concerned about providing top quality customer service. Since Member actually called us out there to begin with, I felt consent was provided to perform the repair. Again, she asked us to come to fix it in the first place. Promptly upon her telling us to leave the property, we did. It is unfortunate that this occurred and as you can tell we responded both times to her claims and actually took care of it. How she can outright lie that we do not warranty our work is beyond me as she actually states we came out to do the warranty on the shutters. I am somewhat confused by this as we did the right thing for our customer yet she still writes a review like this. The advantage Member has is that she actually used us and we will not hold this inaccurate review against her and we will still continue to warranty her job according to the terms of the agreement.

Looking to have two two interior rooms (formal living room and dining room) professionally painted, I called five Angies List rated interior/exterior companies for estimates. We received four bids for the relatively small job and selected Vision Painting, Inc. because of Mike Gatto's SUPERIOR presentation, EXCELLENT bid, and OUTSTANDING response time (to emails, scheduling, etc.). This guy is a professional through and through--no baloney, no fast-talk, no over-sales, no gimmicks. He gave us quotes for single and double coverage, which is not only smart, but also fair (though we knew both rooms would need two coats of paint because the previous homeowners were so ridiculously stupid that they probably didn't know their rear-ends from their elbows. But I digress.). We accepted Vision Painting's bid on a Saturday. By the next day, we had our job booked. However, because our schedule was flexible and because of poor weather necessitating Vision to reschedule different exterior paint jobs--not related to ours, Mike Gatto called the following Monday morning (less than 72 hours after we accepted his bid!), saying he could have a crew to our home that morning. Who does that? Who is so awesome like that? Vision Painting and Mike Gatto. His crew, led by Pedro, arrived on time, moved furniture, covered floors, prepped wall surfaces, repaired some nasty "wall boogers," applied two coats of paint to walls, ceilings, a sizeable window, and trim in one day. They hung up plastic around the doorway openings leading to other, non-painted rooms, which actually kept paint fumes down substantially. Oh, and they put everything back! This was a fabulous interior painting experience. It's not only a tribute to Angie's List, but also to Vision Painting that TOTALLY lived up to its Angie's List reputation and well-exceeded my own expectations. Thanks, Mike Gatto! You really are one-in-a-million. We'll be calling soon for our next painting job!
Description of Work: Interior painting for living room--with an accent color wall.Interior painting for dining room. All furniture was moved and covered. All walls were prepped, including repairs of minor defects, holes, nail pops, etc. Ceilings were painted--two coats.Walls were painted--two coats.Baseboards, trim, and large window were painted. All furniture was returned to original placement. Job was completed in one day. YAY!

Vision did a great job. The work was top notch and overall I am very pleased with all the work performed. I would definitely recomend them to friends with one important "but". The final bill was close to 50% higher than the original estimate. The original estimate was for just over $4000 and the final bill was close to $7000. All of the increase was justified, explained, documented, approved and worth the expense but could have very easily been captured in the original estimate. They probably know that dark over light would take 2 coats but they only estimated for 1 which was a large chunk of the up-charge. This was a $7000 job, I just wish they would have estimated $7000 to do it. I understand not wanting to sticker shock your clients but it's easier to work through going in than coming out.

Excellent. The painters arrived on time, and were able to complete all the work in a single day. I would recommend these guys without any hesitation, and will use them again on future interior work.
Description of Work: The painters removed the banisters from the stairs along with any window coverings, light switch and electrical outlet covers, etc., and placed protective tarps down prior to beginning work. They lightly sanded the wall surfaces to ensure good adhesion and patched a few minor spots in the sheetrock before painting the area. They did an excellent job of clean up as well.

They painted the interior of my home and they did a fabulous job. They were very good with the follow up. I had received several quotes and they were the best and I think they did very well.

Then later on the estimator called and set up for 2pm Sunday Mar 6. He came, took good notes and asked questions. I got their email estimate a few days later. I did not accept the estimate.

I was extremely pleased with Vision Painting from my first contact to the very last. Connie in the office called promptly on Monday morning to return an inquiry call I placed over the weekend. She scheduled Robert to come out to give me an estimate immediately as I indicated I was in need of quick service. The estimate was given quickly, thoroughly and professionally, with a smile AND a printed copy was given to me on the spot. Once I called to approve the estimate, the work was scheduled quickly. Jose and his team showed up promptly every morning, again with a smile. He was very good about communicating exactly where they would be working each day and what they would be doing. He was very responsive to my inquiries and requests. The work was completed on time and is perfectly beautiful. Everything was left spotlessly clean and the communication was excellent. I was reminded to contact them should I find anything that required touch-up; when I did so (very small and few places), the response was immediate and professional. I am a VERY pleased customer.

Vision's crew showed up on time the first day and did a few minor wood repairs around some windows, sealed all siding joint gaps, and scraped off any loose paint, etc. Next they covered all lawn furniture and taped off the back deck and other areas as required. The next two days consisted of painting. The crew cleaned up every night. At the end of the project, there were a few places where the paint was applied to thick and it ran. The crew jumped right on it, sanded down the areas in question, and repainted. They will definitely be on my short list when our interior needs painting.
Description of Work: Vision painted the entire exterior of our home including back deal support poles and front porch cast iron railings. We have a two story + basement + crawlspace, so the home is rather large on the outside and tall.

Good overall with one glaring exception. Sean was very nice and professional from start to finish and his on-site supervisor was awesome. The team worked non-stop and was courteous and friendly in every interaction with my family. The quality of work is top notch. The only and biggest gripe about the process was the discrepancy between the quote and the final bill. The initial estimate was just over $4100 with all the requisite "additional work may cost more" caviates. What I dint expect was exactly how much additional work there would be. All additional work was cleared through me and was necessary. At the end of the day I am very satisfied with the work, I just wish the estimate had been closer...we were braced for $4100 but paid a $6900 bill, that took some of the shine off of a job well done.

Things went very well and I look forward to hiring Vision again. Although there was one misunderstanding (too minor to detail) they came back promptly and went over the work to make sure I was satisfied. Little extras, like touching up the stucco in places not included in their scope of work and powerwashing my front brick steps, done as part of the service didn't hurt!! Thanks Vision....see you in the future for the whole house job!
Description of Work: Vision was hired to paint the exterior wood trim on my 3 story townhouse. They did a light powerwash on the exterior and windows, replaced rotted wood around the windows and fascia board, scraped old paint and caulk, recaulked, painted the wood trim and did touchup paint where the trim met the stucco surfaces.

The process with Vision Painting has gone over well thus far. The guy came and was careful and took his time with the process. He took longer than I thought which I had no problem with because he was looking at everything. He then sat in his car for 45 minutes and gave me a very professional and printed out estimate detailing all of the work. They have a good rating on Angie's List and they showed up on time and they seemed to be very careful and knowledgeable.

We had had them do our outside paint work so we knew it was going to be a good job. They were professional from the start, with their coming out to the house and giving us an estimate to the finished product...they kept their promise and did a great job. I would definitely have them out for more work in the future and recommend them to any and all my friends and co-workers. Ricardo and his crew were beyond good. They were great. I am very happy with the job they did in the interior of the house, they did 6 rooms and the entrance and hallway of the home. We have tall ceilings and they did a wonderful job on all the trim work. They also did not try to push more work on us by suggesting unnneccesary paint work. They did not ask for money until we were completely satisfied.
Description of Work: They were always punctual. They came in and did a lot of work on our interior. Ricardo, the lead man, made suggestions that we went with...like painting all the columns white instead of wall color and was very precise in his work. He made sure everything was to our liking and was very polite and accommodating. He was punctual and very even keeled...We were very picky about what we wanted and he made sure we were pleased...especially since we were spending so much money. He knew we wanted quality work and he provided it. The company also sent out their project managers to oversee the kind of work their people were performing. I was very pleased.

They were thorough and professional. They were great at scraping and sanding where layers of paint had built up in one or two areas, and the carpentry work was done with great care to ensure that it matched the old moulding. I did call them back for a touch-up to the screened porch floor and they came out promptly and took care of the problem. I would definitely use them again. The experience was first-rate, from the initial visit by the salesman to the expertise of the painters to the clean-up.
Description of Work: Vision Painting painted the exterior of my home and a screened porch. They did some minor carpentry as well.
