Temmel Contracting

This Review is in case you’re looking for a contractor for signing and windows. I’m going to keep this short because there’s so much I can write about. Many windows were measured wrong and had to be reordered plus he installed inferior windows from what he sold me on. Bait and Switch. Two out of three doors were measured wrong and had to be recorded plus they were hung poorly. I don’t think he ever did doors before. Siding was poorly done but he had an excuse for that too (as usual). The worst part was his painters, my teen could have done a better job. It’s been over 4 months and they’re still not done.

Temmel siding did a very good job overall, dealing with rain delays over a period of a couple of weeks. They replaced 10 year old shake siding that was not installed correctly by the builder. They came out to do a final walk thru at the end of service and took care of the clean up requests. We were pleased with results and would use this company again.

They parked a large dumpster in my driveway for the torn-off materials. They filled it quickly, then had it removed and replace it with a large trailer for the rest of the trash. They filled it to overflow and let it sit in my driveway for 5 WEEKS! I demanded many times that it be removed and emptied, but they simply didn't care. They trashed my property, throwing cigarette butts and other refuse all over the ground. When the job was FINALLY complete (2 weeks turned into 5+ weeks), they did a poor cleanup. I'm still cleaning trash off my property. The company owner was seldom around. I had to watch his workers like a hawk, because he sure wouldn't. They were contracted to install 4X6" gutters, and snuck in cheaper 3X5" gutters on me. These are prone to get stopped up. When I pointed it out to Temmel, he said they'd be just fine. Never mind what the contract says! Temmel will NOT provide lien waivers. He has promised them to me at least 20 times - STILL no waivers.
