STONE UNLIMITED

After having our kitchen remodeled by Platinum Kitchens, we were moving on to our bathrooms. Platinum referred us to Stone Unlimited. When Rachel came out to our house, we knew that it was going to be a good experience. She was easy-going and genuine - listened to what we were looking for, offered a few excellent suggestions, and demonstrated clear expertise on materials (recognizing the brands and styles that were in our kitchen). The quote was thorough, capturing everything we discussed and painting a clear picture of what we were getting. Ultimately, we backed away from signing a contract due to our request for some specialized re-grouting that Stone Unlimited does not do themselves (on account of the variable issues that can arise). I thought the entire process was positive and I'm confident Stone Unlimited's installation would follow the same professionalism that was exhibited in their design estimate.

Very good service and very flexible on scheduling. The workmanship was very good and the project was finished on time and within budget.

Had them to come out and give estimate. Prompt, professional but their price was a little higher than other quotes I have gotten.

Excellent responsiveness - templated and installed within 1 week. Excellent at making sure the quartz fit into space vacated by old countertops so that I would not have to re trim out the bathroom. They even installed the countertop and took measurements that they called to the shop for the backsplashes so that they could pick them up cut to fit exactly. This was my second experience with Stone Unlimited (did master bath vanity tops about 1.5 years ago), both experiences were excellent and they are about the only contractors/vendors that I highly recommend. I like that they are a small shop and provide individual attention.

The countertops were to be installed on a Monday. They were 1.5 hrs. late. When I came home from work and looked at the countertops, I noticed a big crack in the granite that looked like it had been repaired. No one told me or my contractor that the granite had broken and they tried to repair it. I believe they installed the repaired granite in hopes that it would go unnoticed. The seams were inconsistent in size and they were not completely filled. You could see through some areas. The enhancer was put on unevenly, so some ares were darker than others. After calling the saleswoman and saying the cracked ,repaired granite was not acceptable, she said they would be back on friday at 3:30. The installer showed up 2hrs. late and only after my contractor called at 5 to see where he was. A new peice of granite replaced the cracked peice. Leo the installer used one of my antique oriental rugs from the hall , brought it in the kitchen and put the granite on it. He does not bring a vaccum with him to clean up with. He did not clean up at all. He was unable to finish the job because he had to get to church. He makes a mess and has no respect for your house or belongings.When he came the third time he was 2 hrs late. The job was finally completed the next week, so it took two weeks to finish the job. The saleswoman was going to come by to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction but she never made it.. The whole installation job was a bad experience. I would never recommend stoneunlimited.

Each phase of the project was on time and on budget. Final results are awesome. I would recommend them to friends. I plan to bring them back to quote on a master bath remodel.

I went to many granite showrooms, but found Stone Unlimited to have the best choices, and the best prices. No bait and switch like another company I went to. They had a very nice selection of granite. Rachel at Stone Unlimited was very patient with us because we had such a hard time making a choice. The installation actually came in earlier than we expected and they did a great job. We are very pleased.

Overall my experience with them was poor. They were terrible and they left a big mess.

I had a general idea of what I was looking for. He was able to show me what was available in the boneyard because of the size of the pieces. I didn't have to drive too far for it as they had their facilities right there. They were very professional and very knowledgeable. They weren't the cheapest, though.

They are excellent. I really liked the owner. He seemed very professional and responsive. The installers did a great job. Overall, I was impressed with them.

No complaints

We had wandered around new houses to see what was being installed in them. We found one particularly attractive kitchen counter that we thought would look good in our bathroom. So, we looked around to see who had this particular granite. We located several places and got bids from three. The determining factor was not the price but who could supply a piece of granite large enough that we would not have a seam. We found such a piece at the StoneUnlimited warehouse. Their price was competitive. We ordered it on 3/4 and it was installed 3/12. They did a very fine job (granite is very heavy) of getting this large piece through the house and setting it up on the cabinets. Of particular note they removed the old counter with no problem despite the 10' mirror resting on the backsplash. They also installed the new backsplash tight to the mirror with no problem although a little grinding was necessary. They also installed our new vessel sinks, new faucets and new drains plus all other necessary plumbing. These men were fast, efficient and very knowledgeable. Incidentally, we had 3 other contractors tell us they could not remove the old counter top without damaging the mirror. These people did it with no problem.
