Terrible customer service. I contracted Overstock Floors, Etc. to install carpet throughout my second floor and install floor tile in two bathrooms. Carpet installation went fine. Tile, not so much. Tile installer was very late two days in a row, even after several calls to the owner to check on his status. Once the tile was installed we discovered he had installed a different tile than what we had initially chosen. Took several days of phone, email and finally a visit to the business to get answers on when our project would be completed and why the error in the tile installation. Owner did not seem concerned and kept asking "what do you want to do" instead of trying to find a solution. It was agreed that a refund would be provided for the tiles. We received the refund, however it was less than the amount agreed upon. Owner is very unresponsive. If you want lackluster customer service, products installed that you don't want and to be lied to, then please use these guys. Otherwise, go somewhere else...please. Was too busy, and did not have time to shop around. Called couple of places and their estimate was lower. And with lower estimate comes bad quality carpet and poor service. Alex their sales person is probably the worst person in their staff. When complained, his response was "thank you for your business". Stay away from them, no matter how much lower their pricing maybe.

We went to their store formerly next to Kohl's on Crossville rd. in Roswell. We purchased Some sugar house plank to use in my dining and Living rooms. They delivered and accepted returns of full boxes. We were pleased with them and would use them again.

The initial installation was fine, but now there are noticable seams in the carpet and my hardwoods are staring to split and scratch very easily. My hardwood floors are worse than before and I do not think they used enought polyurethene and the sanding is uneven. They seem to be getting worse over time. I have left several message and when I do get someone on the phone, they keep telling me someone will contact me to come out to my house to look at the problem. They have been pushing me off for more then a month.

We wanted to purchase high end carpet for our 1200 sq. foot basement. At first we had a great salesperson who was very responsive to our needs. After getting the quote and researching other places, we went back in to Overstock two weeks later to make the purchase. This time the only person to deal with was the manager, our salesperson was no longer with the company. - On 2/1/14 we paid 50% down and were told we would get a call on 2/3 by 10am with the delivery date. - No call by 2/4, so we called them. We were told the carpet would be installed on 2/13. - By 2/12 no delivery time call, so we called them. We were told due to the "Atlanta Snow" the carpet would not be available until 2/20. Told they would call us back by 2/19 for delivery time. -Like the other times, no call, I called them 2/19 pm and scheduled a 9:30am time for installation on 2/22. - Installers arrived on 2/22 @ 8:50am - Installers arrived with the wrong carpet pad. Called the store owner and he mentioned that the carpet pad we ordered was on back order so he provided an "equivalent". His "equivalent" was a lower quality than we purchased and we were never notified of the switch. Thank God we had enough sense to check all materials prior to the installers beginning. - We refused the order. I wanted to get my $$ back, but my spouse wanted to work this out. After a trip back to the store, we agreed to waiting another week for our carpet pad to arrive and for the new installation day. We felt our hands were tied since we had already paid 50% down. - We finally had our carpet installed on 3/1. The installation was fine, the transitions from room to room were not done to our standards. We asked for them to correct them. The installers did what we asked (at least attempted) and then the installers left without saying one word to us. We did not even know they were gone. - The next day we went into the store and paid the balance. This experience was not good at all. When spending this kind of money we expect better service. We will never use this company again.
Description of Work: Provided carpet and installation of the carpet.
I Went to Overstock Floors in Cumming, GA to search out a good deal on engineered hardwood and carpet. Worked with Eddie. He came out that afternoon to do an estimate. He came in over budget, we negotiated on price a bit and offered to pay cash and he lowered the price to meet our budget. The installers for flooring came on Friday and the carpet guys never showed. The flooring was done well and the product is decent. It has scratched a lot since install so I question the overall quality of the product but I believed I was getting a good product at a great price. When we got home at 3p.m. our carpet was half torn up but the carpet guys never showed. I called Eddie and turns out they were stuck on a job and wouldn't be coming. I was not happy that no one had bothered to call me and it was me who reported them never showing up. After discussing this, the installer was going to come on Sunday because I said I wasn't going to handle having all my living room furniture in the garage till Monday and my carpet half torn up and I have kids running around. The installer showed about an hour late on Sunday (not a big deal really) He took up the remaining carpet and pad and put down the new pad but it was the wrong one. I called the store and they said they were out of the pad I paid for (an upgraded one) but that they would lay the carpet and then come back and install the new pad later in the week... this sounded very strange and the installer struggled to understand that he was to lay the carpet only to have it pulled up later in the week... My husband and I were frustrated. We decided to just keep the pad they brought out that day and asked for a refund. The refund amount is about $25.00. However NO ONE has ever called us or sent us the refund for the difference in pad. I haven't pursued it but I am disappointed overall that they didn't think to try to make it right after the ringer we went through that week. I do believe I got a good product in both hardwood and carpet but the experience overall would not make me recommend them in the future.
They were excellent. Overall they were very good. They educate the customer. They take the time to let you know what is what and what wood to use. They are very good on price and were willing to negotiate and not just stick with what they were asking. They were not cheap. It is big old farm house and they renovated the floor for the entire house. They were excellent in problem solving and dealing with issues.
Description of Work: I used Overstock Floors etc to do my floors. They pulled off wood and tile floor and put down acacia wood, solid wood floors for my entire house.
