We have done lots of renovations at our home since we have lived here. This was by the far the smoothest, easiest, and best organized project we have ever completed. Rick's team is so professional. They left the worksite spotless every day. They stayed on time and whenever anything came up that was unexpected, I was made aware immediately and given different options on how to go forward. The communication was fantastic, and the work was spectacular. I could not give a higher recommendation to Outside Landscape Group.

I first met with Rick who is the owner of the company. He was probably the third or fourth contractor I had look at my property and was the only one who was willing to take on the challenge of providing me with my vision for a usable back yard. The others either said it was not doable or they vastly overpriced or under-priced the project which I knew meant that I would be nickel and dimed later. Rick admitted it would be a challenge but said that he wanted to give it a try. After agreeing to move forward, he laid out a color plan with everthing we had discussed and with a myriad of pricing options included. I signed the contract and then met with my project manager, Adam Huber. The team was supposed to start on January 12th but because of bad weather was delayed until the 15th. When they finally showed up, they wasted no time. They quickly tore down an old, unsighly fence and began prepping the yard for what was to come. My yard is set in tiers and the lower tier sloped severly down. They put a retaining wall in place, filled in the lower area and made a complete second tier that is now usable yard space. On the upper tier, they added a firepit with a stone slab walkway and steps descending down to the lower level. They landscaped they entire yard, put in new irrigation, and placed a new aluminum fence around both tiers. They cleaned up each night and at the end of the project they replaced all of the turf that had been destroyed by the backhoe. Ultimately, you could not tell that they had been there when the final clean up was finished. The yard looks AMAZING and all of the neighbors have commented on it. It is defintely a showpiece! The price was a little more than I wanted to spend, but Rick and Adam were both every open and honest about the costs up front and there were no surprises. I was given the option at each stage of the project of doing certain things or removing/ altering to fit more in line with my budget. In the end, I chose to spend a little more to get the look I ultimately wanted. Adam and his crew were fantastic and they responded to any issues I had quickly and with no haggling. I'm quite certain I won't be doing any projects of this size again, but if I were, I would use these guys again in a second. I would also recommend them to anyone looking to alter their existing space to something much nicer. GREAT JOB!!!

It was okay but the cost was a little too high.

You get what you pay for! Outside Landscape Group is the most professional contractor outfit we've ever worked with. Their landscape architect Adam, prepared a thorough design for our space that worked with the mature landscape that we loved about our current yard. Their crew was AHEAD OF SCHEDULE and notified us that they could start our project one week earlier than initially projected and they finished as scheduled (with a 1-day delay due to weather.) The crew arrived promply at 7:45 or 8 am everyday, and were out each day before 5pm. The site was kept tidy, and the crew extremely courteous and attentive. Adam was at the site multiple times to ensure the integrity of the design, and worked with us to upgrade certain areas at our request. While their pricing isn't the cheapest out there, it is extremely fair for the quality of workmanship, professionalism and client attention. We would (and probabaly will) hire them again.

Very well. They did the whole job in 2 days with a crew of 6-8 guys.

I've worked with many contractors over the years and fully expected the usual issues to come up on this project...boy was I wrong! Every single person I had contact with at Outside Landscape Group was professional and on the same page. I met with Rick a couple times on the design, reviewed proposal with samples of recommended materials and then it was time for installation. Even though Rick was out of town when my job started, everything went smoothly. His office staff coordinated with the project manager, who coordinated with the crew, etc., it was seamless. I did have one small issue come up, which required an adjustment to some stone, but it was handled promptly and to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Outside Landscape Group!

We hired Outside Landscape Group to install a stone patio with a fire pit and revamp our backyard landscaping. We could not be happier with our experience and the finished product. Adam Huber, our designer and project manger, gave us a backyard design that perfectly fit our needs, wishes and budget. The crew that completed the work was top notch. They were professional, respectful of our property, courteous, and they worked diligently to finish our project on time. Outside Landscape Group deserves more than 5 stars. I would recommend them to anybody. The professionalism, the quality of their work, the creativeness of their design . . . they are the best!

We engaged Outside Landscape Group to renovate our backyard with artificial turf/putting green, a dry-laid fieldstone patio, custom firepit, improved drainage, and a variety of new plantings. The crew was timely, tidy and very professional, and all aspects of the job -- from the plan to installation -- were top-notch!

We have worked with Outside Landscape Group for the past 12 years. Past projects have included a water feature, gazebo, total landscape package, lighting package, irrigation system, screened porch, stone walkways, stone patios. They do the total package. Their office staff and landscape crew are very professional. They stand behind their work and provide excellent, timely service.

We had a very good experience with OLG. We were first contacted by Rick to provide a brief verbal overview of the scope of the project. I believe they have a $5000 project minimum in order to engage in a contract with them. Neither Rick or myself were sure if our project would qualify for their minimums. Rick asked if we would be willing to pay $75 to have a consultation with one of his landscape architects. Rick said he would provide us with some general design ideas and then a decision could be made if the scope of the work met their requirements. My husband and I agreed to this and then met with Ray, one of their Landscape Architects. After an initial onsite meeting with Ray, we were able to determine that our project would probably fall within their project pricing guidelines. We paid OLG $400 for a professional full color computer aided drawing of our project. If we decided to move forward with this design the $400 would be deducted from our final bill. Ray also included one "wish list" project we discussed (an in ground fire pit) in the design that we weren't ready to go forward with at this time. We liked the drawing and the overall design so we signed the agreement with OLG. The drawing was very detailed and he also provided us with color photographs of his suggested plant material. Ray was very accessible throughout our project and easy to work with. He took our budget concerns into consideration when he was making recommendations and gave us lower cost options (with pictures) so that we could make educated decisions. I was pleasantly surprised that Ray was very involved with all aspects of the installation. He was on site at various points throughout the project and in constant communication with the crew foreman and with us. The crew that was out doing the work were all very nice and easy to work with. The crew foreman spoke and understood English well which made things easier when we had questions or concerns during the process. The crew did a great job of cleaning everything up at the end of the project including pressure washing our driveway. The end result of the work was really beautiful and we are very happy. We had mentioned to Ray at the beginning of the project that we needed him to address some irrigation concerns with the installation of the new plant material. Unfortunately this was something that we felt was a little bit of an oversight on his part and we ended up having to contract with another irrigation company to get those things fixed. Fortunately, the extra cost was minimal ($120). We thought the overall price for the landscape project was on the high side but sometimes you get what you pay for and this is one of those times. We would definitely work with Ray and OLG again.

Rick and his team showed up on time each day, worked very efficiently and effectively and left the place cleaner than when they arrived. Rick built our plans in accordance with our budget and then gave us options of trade offs and helped us think through the best use of our funds for short and long term needs. Rick was incredible at listening as well as offering advice and he did it in a non-pressuring way. I have never had a contract crew be so courteous and knowledgable - we already have plans for phase two in the spring with this group!! I can not say enough wonderful things about our experience.....I only wish all contractors were as honest, fair and good at their jobs as this team. We LOVE our new yard!

Ray, the landscape architect asked what our budget was and provided a complete design. The fee was $400. This included complete landscape design with a color coded plan drawn to scale. Design included backyard patio, plantings, retaining wall, drainage solutions and hardscape. While the design was thoughtful, we were not happy with the materials used. I thought that their prices were significantly higher than other competing bids based on my own research. I will not post the exact quote because it may not accurately compare to other member's home sites and may not reflect the "true" cost of installation. In my opinion, their proposal did not have real value. It's not my practice to hire the lowest bidding contractor. I understand quality work and don't mind paying for it. But, I was not impressed with their proposal. When we asked Ray to consider other materials and propose a redesign, I perceived a lack of genuine interest in revising the original design to suit our needs. I could sense that he was getting frustrated with us for asking for a revision. We decided not to go with this landscaper. Rick, the owner of the company, contacted me after we turned down the bid and offered to personally help with the project and come up with a redesign to suit our needs. He provided more pricing information that had not been disclosed in the original contract bid.

On time, on budget, new walkway installed in a very secure manner. After it was finished a small area was accumulating water. Rick and his people resolved the matter immediately.

This is the third time I have used this company and Rick is great! He is so easy to work with and works very hard to stay within your budget. The people in the office have also been very responsive to any calls I may have made.

Awesome service and work quality! Outside Landscape Group landscaped our yard 5 years ago. It continues to look great and we regularly get a lot of compliments about our yard. We have recommended OLG to a number of our friends and neighbors, who have in turn used OLG with great results. On March 12, 2014, on the eve of our house being listed for sale, someone attempting to back down our driveway on a rainy day veered off the driveway and severely damaged a 40-foot portion of our grass. I called the owner, Rick, for help after 8:00 pm and left him a voice mail. Rick called me right back and had a crew at our house the next the morning and replaced the damaged fescue grass for minimal cost. This enabled us to list our house as scheduled and proceed with showings. Thank you for the great service and work quality when we were in a major bind! We will definitely use OLG at our new house and continue to recommend the company to our friends.

Excellent job. Listened to what I had in mind, enlarged on my ideas in a very creative way. Worked very quickly and professionally to get the job done. Actually did several things to the front yard to make it look very nice without my asking, at no extra charge. I was amazed by that- expected to see additional charges on my bill. One very small disappointment, my fault- in a garden area- for an organic garden, I was expecting wood framing around the garden. I should have been very specific about what I thought was going to happen, but didn't make it clear. Lesson learned. I can easily put the framing around the garden. They did so many extras it is hard to feel bad about that. In the future, I will be more specific about my expectations, even the small details. I plan to use them again next year to finish the front yard.

Rick and his team were fantastic to work with. They listened to what my wife and I wanted from the project then went to work (along with the pool company) in designing a plan that included all of the desired elements. They also broke the project into phases, per our request, should we have elected to take each step separately. Sandy Springs gave us a little trouble regarding the possible infringement on the root zone of a neighboring tree. But Outside did a great job tweaking the design to make the city (and us) happy. The craftsmen that Outside employs are top rate. My wife and I found everyone on the site to be VERY professional and easy to work with. This was especially important because of the limited amount of space for materials and equipment. We were even able to share the driveway throughout the project, as someone was always more than happy to move a work vehicle if necessary. The craftsmen were amazing. These men were very talented and took great pride in their work. They also were never bothered by my job-site questions or any of the revisions that were made. The whole Outside team was very adaptive to requests for changes or upgrades to the original plan. I was very impressed how Outside coordinated with the pool company (Artistic). What amazed me the most was that there was little to no wasted time during the entire project. In fact, the whole project was finished at least 3 weeks early. Outside won't be the lowest bidder, but I believe you get what you pay for. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience and we would absolutely use Outside again.

I could not have asked for anything bettr from the very beginning to the very end and everywhere in between!
