As expected with an older home there were issues, particularly with the faucet replacements as the connections had fused over time but all obstacles were overcome without any hassles. If is great to have someone take care of a backlog of tasks. We had no problems communicating and questions were asked and answered as they arose. Since the list was long the repairs were squeezed in over 3 days but we were able to accommodate the schedule.
Description of Work: We had a handyman list including 12 door lock sets (interior & exterior), 3 bathroom faucets, a new mailbox post install, repairs to damaged doors, replace a attic hatch, replace bathroom towel rack sets, install a new desk keyboard return, and provide an insurance estimate for storm damage repair/repaint for an outside wall.

+ -1 moreThey did a mediocre job, and I wasn't really impressed with the quality of the work. Furthermore, he wasn't able to reattach the siding on his initial visit because he didn't have a ladder that was tall enough to reach the chimney. We agreed that I would pay him $65 in advance and that he would return to work on the siding. However, he never followed up with me to schedule a time to complete the project, and showed up when I wasn't at home. Instead, he dealt with my husband who wasn't aware that I had already paid for the service and asked for another $50. When I called the gentleman to inquire why he asked for more money, he claimed that the $65 didn't include reattaching the siding. Basically, I felt as though he behaved unethically in this situation.
Description of Work: We hired them to paint and to repair two doors in our house, to repair a basement step, and to repair a couple of towel bars. They also reattached a piece of siding on our chimney, installed a new toilet paper holder, and made repairs to our deck.

From the moment he answered his phone at 8:30 in the evening (when I had expected to leave a voice mail message) and sounded professional and eager to help, I suspected I had found my go-to handyman. That certainly was proven when he showed up promptly this morning, went over my to-do list and gave me prices for the various items, then agreed to do only a few of the items at this time. He made some good suggestions and did the work thoroughly and neatly. That he gives a senior citizen discount and accepts credit cards is icing on the cake. He's a very nice guy, to boot. I will call him as soon as I can to resume crossing off the items on my list and to add more projects as the years go by.

+ 0 moreDeck Repair - Bill used sturdy nails to reattach the privacy fence (much more sturdy than the nails used by the builders when the deck was originally installed). The repair was done quickly and professionally. The privacy fence is now very firmly attached. While here Bill noticed that one of the latches on my back door wasn't catching when closed. He repaired this at no cost. This was my first experience with this company and I feel that I have now found a handyman for all of my home services! Excellent Service!!!
Description of Work: The privacy fence on my deck had become detached from the siding of my home.

+ 2 moreI was referred to Bill through word of mouth originally and since that time, he has been my main go to person for any home repairs. The list of tasks that I he has done include...Siding Repair, Floor Installation, Baseboard Installation/Replacement, Deck Repair. Bill has provided both reasonable estimates and quality work. For the issues that were more than I was looking to spend at a given time, he was able to come up with lower cost alternatives that fit my budget at the time. Just because his prices are reasonable, does not mean that he skimps on quality. The work he does is top notch and I would recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: I have used Bill on numerous occasions in the past year. One job that I would like to point out is him replacing the baseboards in our basement. I had some flooding and all my flooring had to be removed from the basement. I decided that I would lay new flooring myself, but because I know how important the baseboards are to finish the room off, I brought Bill in for the job. Bill came in and removed the existing baseboards, while leaving the wall in perfect condition. Once this was done, I was supposed to call him to finish installing the new ones. Well, me being lazy, the floor installation that I did took longer than expected. Not only was Bill patient and willing to work on my time line, he also provided guidance on laying the new floor. Without him, the room would not have turned out as well as it did. Needless to say, when the job was done and Bill installed the new baseboards, everything looked great.
