Nesbit Landscape

The egg rock that my neighbor and I had installed in a water runoff area between his house and mine had failed and suffered damage every time we had a really heavy rain. Eric and his team put in a dry creek bed, which solved the problem. Having dealt with a number of landscape companies, I don't think I ever hired one more impressive than Nesbitt. Eric was cordial and professional,.. a pleasure to work with.

Professional team of people, Eric is very good at coming up with ideas to enhance what we already had in our backyard. The team installed new drainage, sidewalk, turf and completed a new wall in our backyard. Looks great and we are very pleased with the finished product. Eric and his team are the epitome of consummate professionals. This was our second time contracting with them with the same superior outcome. We started with the general idea of ‘we want a paver patio and some steps.’ Eric came out, assessed the layout, expanded on our design, provided alternatives and priced the options as requested. We picked a paver pattern and color, discussed how the steps would be installed, and agreed on a timeline. As always, ideas for changes came up during the construction and were easily accommodated; the crew handled the changes without missing a beat. Every work day seemed to be used efficiently and interactions with the crew members were pleasant and professional. Sod and pine straw were replaced so that any disturbance due to equipment was repaired. The end result is of the highest quality. We recommend Nesbit Landscape and would definitely seek their advice and services again.

It started with a retaining wall under our patio room. The wall has been leaning outward over the years (scary) since it is under a room in our house. I got a few bids and not only did I like Eric the best (he made me feel like this was an easily doable job vs. a "big problem" like a competitor made it sound. Turns out the wall was not built exactly right so they dug it out and rebuilt it correctly. We were so happy that I decided to ask Eric about some other unsightly areas that we weren't sure what to do with. He immediately suggested some excellent solutions (fieldstone patio extension and knee walls). So we went ahead with it and are thrilled with the result. The photos (some before and after) are not the best but hopefully you can see the scope of work. Lots of labor involved.

Nesbit Lanscape was professional, easy to work with, and thorough--from initial consultation and landscape/hard-scape design through implementation and clean-up. The results look great and we are very pleased.

They showed up on time, and Eric was there to direct his crew what to do. Everything was done as planned and as quoted. The work was completed in 3 days and I can't say enough about how pleased we are.

Eric and his team at Nesbit did a fantastic job updating and upgrading the landscape on our home. The design was perfect for the space and the plant material and work were A+. Eric and his crew did a great job. Eric came out and assessed the project, drew up a plan, based on my budget, and installed in less than two weeks. Any time I've had questions or concerns, they have been very responsive.

The result was much better than I envisioned. A beautiful stone wall and slate steps replaced old railroad ties. Their experience and aesthetics were essential to what finished product looks like. The only drawback is that you can’t see the wall from the street, the work they do is impressive.

The estimator was very professional, showed up on time, thorough and detailed. He, of course, pointed out everything the past contractors had done wrong and explained his commitment to get it right. He delivered an estimate in the timeframe I requested. Unfortunately, it was 4-5 times higher than another quote I had received from someone who can't meet my desired completion date.

We were impressed with Nesbit from our first meeting. Eric was responsive, gave a competitive price, and very informative. His crew is extremely courteous and obviously experienced. They were so meticulous laying the sod around out stepping stones, that the stones look like they were added after the sod! The grading and drain system plans were also carefully thought out and well executed. What was particularly surprising is how tidy the crew was. They were very careful to clean up after each work day (not just at the end). When we expressed concerns about anything or added a couple of items, Eric came out and addressed them in a timely manner. We made a couple of slight changes to our original plan. Eric was patient and the additional cost of the added items was extremely reasonable.

Eric and his team was fantastic. Eric provided some additional ideas to the design and responded extremely quickly to all of my questions. Simon and the rest of the installers were very efficient and diligent about getting the job done. They ensured they cleaned up everything once they were done. Eric then came out of his way to make sure we were satisfied.

We first used Nesbit Landscaping for a very specific landscaping job. We needed large trees planted as a privacy barrier in our backyard. Nesbit did a fantastic job. The work was done exactly the way we requested and was done very promptly. We have also used Nesbit for some general landscaping needs. We find the company very responsive with great customer service. We had some plants that needed to be replaced this past fall. Without contact from us, Nesbit came out and replaced all the plants and even added some additional plants. Normally you have to contact a company several times just to talk to someone. This is not the case with Nesbit. The company has excellent customer service We highly recommend!!

Eric and his team did an outstanding job. From start to finish, Eric was excellent. He listened, offered ideas and advice, provided the needed HOA drawings, and was on the job every day to ensure his team was executing the job well. His team (stone masons, gardeners, laborers) were competent, hard working, very attentive to details and accomplished the entire project with no issues. They achieved a result that was exactly as Eric had promised and met or exceeded all our objectives. I give Eric a lot of credit for the success of the project as he was a terrific communicator and strong manager, effectively guiding the project along the way. We are totally satisfied with Nesbit's performance. I wholeheartedly recommend Nesbit for both hardscape and landscape projects.

He came out and did the work. They were very good and very punctual. They came when they were supposed to and got the job completed when they were supposed to. They cleaned up everything and really did a nice job.

Eric and his team were excellent from the very beginning. Eric is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything that was going on with my yard. He had some good ideas to reuse some materials from some previous landscaping work (stone) in a creative way, and when it came time to do the work he stuck to his estimate even when the work proved more difficult (I had a lot of roots in my front yard that had to be removed before sod could go down). Eric was also patient with follow up emails about caring for my new lawn. Would definitely use again.

A previous landscape contractor didn't properly grade part of our yard and also installed sod where it had no hope of growing because of too much shade. We needed to fix those issues and also wanted to redo front yard landscaping. We called Nesbitt because of good reviews on Angie's list. Eric came as scheduled. He listened to our concerns and gave us his recommendations. We instantly got a good feeling about Eric based on his knowledge, enthusiasm and vision for our yard and asked him for a quote for correcting the drainage issue and installing new landscaping in the problem area with the understanding that if we were pleased with the work, we would also contract with him to redo the front yard. We liked Eric's proposed design and felt his quote was reasonable (based on our previous experiences with other landscapers) so we didn't even bother to get quotes from anyone else. That work was completed in Sept 2015 and included installation of plant materials that tied in well with existing landscaping and a dry creek bed to stop water from pooling and prevent erosion. The results were stunning and the following month we decided to move forward with the front yard. Eric prepared a landscape design and we only made a couple of minor modifications. The front yard involved removal of existing plant material including 3 large crape myrtles and bermuda sod, installation of new plant material and zeon zoysia sod, construction of a low stone retaining wall and construction of a semicircle brick step at our front entrance. They also did some maintenance to the existing irrigation system. The beauty of working with Eric is that the work just gets done with no drama. His crew is efficient and professional. He had put in some hostas during the first phase of the work and we didn't expect any problems with deer because we hadn't seen any in our yard, but deer showed up as soon as the hostas were planted and in no time we had nothing but stubs. Eric replaced the hostas with something else that was deer resistant with no questions asked. Upon completion of the front yard, our neighbors all complimented us on our beautiful yard. I think they're enjoying it almost as much as we are. It's springtime now and the yard looks spectacular with all the blooms! We have already recommended Nesbitt to a couple of our friends and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Went great! I contacted Eric and Nesbit to fix a backyard that another Angies list supplier completely messed up 2 years ago and failed to fix. We hire Nesbit to regrade the back yard AWAY from the house and not towards the house. They also put pipes on all downspouts and buried them taking the water away from the home and installed a rockcreek to carry water away from the house on two sides. Also we had them add about 12' onto our back patio (concrete). Back yard looks great now! Highly recommend them! UPDATE, 4/14/16. After a few heavy rains the backyard is great! No standing water and it all is directed away from the house and yard! So happy I found these guys!!!!!

From beginning to end, the project went very well. Eric initially visited my property and was on time and prepared. He seemed very experienced in his profession and was very easy to communicate with. He provided a quote in a timely manner. I believe the pricing was fair. The workers were also very professional and polite. The work was completed in a timely manner and the final product exceeded my expectations. My property was left in immaculate condition. I could not have been happier with Nesbit. I highly recommend them.

We had a bad drainage problem and the installation of the creek bed with river rock and fieldstone fixed the problem. The creek bed and the wall look really good. It was a big job with digging out the area, laying the rocks and building the wall. We are very pleased with the result and used their services again after this project.

Our front yard had become very dated with the old and dying shrubbery. They raised the canopy on some of the trees. Removed a lot of old shrubbery and cleaned up the ivy beds. They applied a thick layer of wood mulch to the entire front yard. It looks beautiful and we have had many compliments from our neighbors.
