My floors are 10 years old and in great shape except scuffs and scratches. I had used Mr. Sandless in the past at our previous residence so I knew Sandless floor refinishing could repair these problems. I had used the Macon Mr. Sandless about 4 years ago and called both them as well as the next closest Mr. Sandless which was Metro Atlanta. I heard back from Donna at Metro Atlanta first and she gave me an estimate based on my square footage that I measured. I sent her pictures of my floors and discussed my complaints. She felt confident that the Sandless refinishing would work well. She was able to accommodate me and sent a crew of two men the next day. They were to stay in a local hotel for my job which would take 2 days. They arrived about 2 hours late but called to inform me. They were reluctant to move the furniture and had an elaborate stretching routine before moving each piece. I had suggested moving some furniture to the garage but they felt it would be difficult to move the furniture that far. They crammed furniture though door frames causing damage to at least 3 doorways. They did not use care when moving my furniture. After the floors were complete they did not replace all furniture. I contacted Donna and discussed these details and sent pictures of damaged door frames. She deducted $200 from my quote at my request. The floors were complete and look beautiful. I found only one defect in the floor sealer application and this was near feet of a larger furniture piece that was not relocated during the finish process. It is not visible unless the piece of furniture is moved. Over all I am very pleased with the final outcome. I realize that the new finish is also susceptible to scratches, scuffs, and wear. I will use the recommended floor cleaner and follow recommendations to maintain my floors. My suggestion is to move your own furniture and have all rooms clear when they arrive. It will make the process move much faster. I think Donna takes pride in her business and I found her to be friendly, helpful, and professional. I will use Mr. Sandless again in the future as needed.

BEWARE of Mr. Sandless Alpharetta, Georgia- Incompetent and Unaccountable THE BIG COVER UP! - NEVER hire this company if you value your home and possessions. I would love to file a lawsuit against them for the damages, lack of competence, total disregard for my home, and frustration. This company needs to be held accountable to their customers! Their Insurance company, Travelers was non-responsive to my claim for damages so your screwed if they mess up your home like they did ours. In hind sight, I should have known that any vendor that records your initial conversation with her, Yes she does and is happy to email it to you when you ask her to be accountable and make things right... plus she is in such high demand that she requires you to pay 1/2 your money upfront just to reserve your spot on the calendar. Smells like trouble looking back. So we hired Mr. Sandless to remove a finish that was put on our hard wood floors - Quick Shine. They removed it alright and left it on our dining room table, 20X24 keepsake picture of kids (the one that you walk out of the Hilton Head photographer's place wondering why you just paid so much for a photo and you still need a $300 frame to hang it), all walls, ceiling, baseboards, doors, door jams, dish washer, refrigerator, antiqued island, carpet, lap top computer...you get the picture. When we left our home the first day upon their arrival she assured me, don't worry we are insured and bonded - good luck getting anything from their insurance company. Upon return and throughout the night, my wife and I realized the crappy job that was done on the main level floor...gritty, grimy finish. Wax looking and quot;boogersand quot; as I call them all over the place - my wife notices them on the floors but I'm more focused on the base boards...Our base boards are covered with wax, dirty, nasty, wax... its even on the walls, every door jam, my dish washer, refrig and on everything throughout the main level 3 to 4 inches up. They used 1and quot; painters tape on my carpet but got it 3and quot; over onto the carpet. The floor is an absolute complete mess...I'm dumb founded. I can't believe the total lack of respect for my home but I'm easy going and I think I'll talk to Donna the next day, she seems nice and reasonable so she will surely understand and be accountable. The next day I showed Donna the mess, she said it was OUR fault because the Quick Shine is so hard to remove and she offered to only replace the toe molding. I pointed out to her that the least of my worries since it was up the base boards and onto the walls. The next day, she brought over an employee of hers that apparently knew what he was doing, agreed with me that it was a mess and said he wished he would have done the job because this would have never happened. I told Donna NOT to put down the new finish up stairs, until I inspected the floor and made sure the surface was ready for the new finish. After they left I noticed the First of the Big Cover UP - we started to move our furniture back and noticed wax spots on a laptop, computer table, etc.. Then we notice the dining room table that Donna had a cover on had spots all over it...she covered it up but when? Evidently after the wax started flying around the room! My wife decided to move the picture of our kids off the wall somewhere else safe and when she did we noticed 2 huge wax runs BEHIND the picture? The Next Big Cover UP - I launched into full investigation mode...short story is: they dropped a bucket of dirty wax and it flew in 2 directions...up and out...landed on the picture, behind the picture, on the door, door jam, ceiling, and since the basement door was open it was on those stairs and walls. I called Donna and told her I found the mess and she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about...but they had tried to clean it up I could tell...smeared on the picture and frame, wiped all over the wall and ceiling, not wiped up on the stairs in the basement 15' from where they were working, another wall and the door jams...she later admitted that one of her guys did drop something and stuff went everywhere but they cleaned it up...wrong! Donna and her partner met me a few days later, reviewed all the damage and asked me to provide them a solution, reassured me they were reasonable people looking for a reasonable resolution. After providing them quotes to fix the items damaged and to correct their work they have offered very little to rectify the situation and again blamed us for what happened. It's a blessing we Uncovered the Big Cover UP because I bet a lot of Donna's customers notice these same items days or weeks later and don't connect the dots. Stay completely away and tell your friends too...they advertise in all the home remodeling magazines that show up free in the mail, offer 100% satisfaction or your money back...I'M COMPLETELY UNSATISFIED, they have a Happy Client Counter on their web site, etc.. It's a shame - STAY AWAY!

We bought a foreclosure home and the wood floors on the main living area were in pretty good shape but had been neglected. They were dull, had worn spots and just needed a face lift. I spoke with Donna at Mr Sandless Metro and she was incredibly helpful and professional. She asked me to take pictures of the worst spots on my floor and send them to her. She responded right back and really did an incredible job of setting the expectation of how the floors would turn out. Donna throughout the entire process communicated with me when her team would be here, that they were running a little late because of traffic along with calls just talking about the process and the floors. Couldn’t have asked for more. When her team arrived, they explained the entire process of what they were going to do, how long it would take and then they walked with me every inch of the house looking for the trouble spots. They were very clear about a few challenges and said they would do everything they could to improve the look of the floors. Once again, managing expectations. They said they would call when they were near completion and they did. When I arrived at the house I couldn’t believe how good the floors turned out. The areas they identified as problems looked better but because of our conversation ahead of time, I knew what to expect. The floors looked as close to new as you can get. The luster was there, the shine was back along with the color. When it came time to pay there was a glitch on my part that I didn’t hear them say that if I paid by credit card there would be 3% added to the bill. I asked if I could send them a check. They said they would need to talk with Donna. I ended up calling Donna and she said no problem. She gave the address as to where to send it. She also said she had come by the house because she was in the area to look at the floors. My wife and I had been contemplating as to whether to sand the floor and re-stain a darker color. We ended up opting for the sandless process because of finances. Donna said that our floors would not have been able to be sanded and stain. I truly appreciated her professional advice. All in all, an incredible experience with Donna and a great outcome on the floors. I would definitely recommend Mr Sandless Metro, METRO because there are other franchises in the area, to do your floors.

All of the floors turned out beautifully. I will never use traditional sanding to refinish floors again! Thanks, guys!
Description of Work: The Mr. Sandless team refinished approximately 2500 sq. feet of my "new" 1960's home. Most of the floors were oak and one room is cork.

Description of Work: We had our floors coated with the Sandless Service. The representative was great and the guys that did the service were great as well. I'm just not sure if the price is justified with the end result. The floors looked great initially, but I think we should have gone with a sanding option to take care of some of the wear spots in the hardwoods.

Her crew was polite, meticulous to the very last detail, and careful with putting up plastic dust shields. I didn't have any discernable sanding dust floating into the downstairs whatsoever. They use a product that has a little bit of 'after-smell' but not nearly the kind of long lasting stench you get from polyurethane (I did my own refinishing in a previous house - "never again!"). Their product is fast drying, non-toxic, and I believe they applied 3 coats - and sure enough, it was done well before dinner time. There wasn't a square inch that was not perfect. In fact I was recently sitting on the stairway leading to that room (cleaning up pet hair off the carpet, see next statement), and even the tiny corner at the door entrance was perfectly sanded and polished. Very impressive! I have several dogs and cats, and I was worried about pet hair settling onto the floor and becoming permanently embedded in the floor, but that did not happen - they apparently pre-vacuumed very well and the plastic shield prevented hair from floating onto the new surface. It really looks beautiful and I'm so happy I had it done. As soon as I can clear the clutter downstairs and set aside a day to get the animals out of the way, I plan to do two more rooms, and then later, the final two rooms. Now I will say that this room doesn't have the kind of traffic and wear/tear that happens downstairs, so this might not be the fullest test, but I'm confident that their process will work in my other rooms. I will definitely hire Donna/Steve again!
Description of Work: Wood Floor Refinishing. This franchise is run by Donna and Steve Noury, although I dealt exclusively with Donna. I am remiss in filing this report from January 2011, because I like to reward good work - it just fell off my radar, I'm sorry to say. But now that I'm considering another room to refinish, Donna will be the first person I call. Everything about the experience was great - from a prompt visit to estimate the work to the final finishing touches. I decided to have them do the upstairs master bedroom, approx 18 ft x 25 (less a bathroom), and I elected to have the FULL STRIPPING and REFINISHING, not the regular Mr Sandless process which would have been around $400-450, if I recall. I was surprised to learn that it would only take one day, not the three days I expected. The Mr Sandless process is described on their website, but again, I had the regular sanding and refinishing. The cost also included replacing all base quarter-round moulding.
