The men showed up on time and had the job completed in half a day. Full clean up and answered any questions.

Paco and his crew did high quality work, completed the project in less time than anticipated and cleaned up completely afterward. Most importantly, he showed me why the deck was stable without additional support posts that I thought I needed when it would have been easy enough for him to do it anyway and make several hundred dollars more. So, while the work quality was great, the communication regarding scheduling and scope of the project left something to be desired. Pete was very prompt in coming out to do the estimate after I called and was very knowledgable about the deck structure and repair work needed. He couldn't give me a date the work would be performed but said he would let me know at least a few days ahead of time and that it would be done within 4 weeks max. We exchanged emails and calls a couple of times but I was never told the crew would be coming out until they called from my house exactly 4 weeks from the date I signed the contract. I would have preferred to be present when they started but couldn't get away from work on such short notice. I had also contacted Pete a couple of weeks prior and asked about the possibilty of having a small child's tree platform added to the project. He told me to talk to the foreman about it when the crew arrived at my house but the foreman just told me to talk with Pete. Pete didn't reply to my message and the project was completed without the little "treehouse" I had hoped to add.

They removed the old cement patio efficiently, and built a new cedar deck for us. It is beautiful.

I called Innovative Woodworks based on the reviews on Angie's List. Initially, I met with Jasper to talk about our installation. He was very friendly and professional. We wanted to install a screened porch on a small deck upstairs, but have it match an existing screened porch downstairs. The railings were a bit different than a standard porch, and we wanted a gap at the bottom of the rails so we could sweep out the porch after pollen season. However, we also wanted to fill the gaps with a removable piece to keep the bugs out the rest of the time. We also wanted the railings to be built as panels, so we could remove them easily to change out the screen (that was sandwiched in between the double railings) or to repaint easily. So we had a very specific idea of what we wanted and even drew diagrams for them to use as a guide. I received a prompt proposal by email after our meeting. Dominic and his crew did a beautiful job building exactly what we wanted. Workers were here in the morning and worked until the sun went down. It took them several days to finish, but they always cleaned up the work area at the end of each day. They cleaned up their area completely when the job was finished. Jasper was timely in responding to any emails, and even applied a $100 coupon to the invoice after the job was quoted. The office was also prompt and courteous in returning calls, and they put me in touch with Dominic immediately when I had a question. They would be the only company on my list if I needed similar work again in the future.

My father tore down the deck on the back of his house and had not had time to replace it. My parents decided to use a contractor to replace the deck and I offered to help them find a good company. Innovative Woodworks was very professional. They were always on time and completed their work as scheduled. My father was impressed with their craftsmanship.

The team was great - on the business side we worked with Pete who listened to our concerns and gave us advice on what we needed to to to finish our project. Doing the work was Dominic, an expert craftsman. Calls were returned, agreed upon timelines were met, the contract was fulfilled. I would recommend them to anyone, and I wish we would have had hired them in the first place.

We are extremely pleased with the entire process. From the beginning, through to the end, Pete was helpful in moving the project forward. Dominick was present with the crew at all times. The crew was very professional in their work. Everyone involved was pleasant to work with. If needed, we would use them again.

They didn’t end up doing anything. They never called me back. They came over, looked at everything and we were in contact for a few months. Then they told us that they were very busy and that they will get back but I never heard from them. We originally had hired a contractor that didn’t finish the porch work. So we were looking for someone that can help us out to see what they can do to fix the problem. We were never able to find somebody that was willing to take somebody else’s work. They didn’t even give us an estimate. They gave us an average of what it would be. I didn’t get a physically written estimate from them. The person who came out was knowledgeable. When he came, he did come on time. I had seen the pictures of work that they had done. It was something that we were very much interested in; we would have probably used them to do some other work as well. However, I dropped it because I never got a call back. I didn’t want to deal with them.

Innovative Woodworks is, quite literally, the best contractor we have ever worked with, period. The project started when we realized that we needed a porch on our large, brick house to help with some drainage and landscaping problems. Unsure of what we wanted, we canvassed the neighborhood, taking pictures of porches we liked or disliked. These picture became the basis for soliciting bids from four contractors, all found through Angie's List. The four contractors could not have been more different from each other. One had me email him the pictures, then replied with a bizarrely high quote without ever meeting me. Another came out to the house, but had to borrow a tape measure from me to measure the front, then tried to convince me that a copy of the declaration page was proof that his insurance was in force. On the other hand, Innovative Woodworks, represented by the owner, Jasper Sienkiewicz, came to the house and skillfully determined what we wanted and needed, offering solutions I hadn't considered, and always showed a fine awareness of the difference between a job done and a job well done. Better yet, his ultimate bid was not only the lowest of the four, but also contained a few unrelated tasks around the property that were by themselves too small to rate a separate bid. While I think Jasper could well perform any task he attempted, he was also able a assemble a fabulously skilled array of subcontractors. Dom, Mike, and Vick were the carpenters, able to design "on the fly" and suggest changes or additions that would enhance the final result without amending the contract. J.J. and Matt were the electricians, pulling interior and exterior wiring for both present and future needs, and making sure that there would be enough power available for whatever lights or heaters we may want in front of the house. And the masons (I never got their names) were a marvel, handworking stone and brick into harmonious designs, and without prompting making whatever repairs they spotted in the older brickwork around the house. The painters worked quickly and completely, adapting their schedule to deal with the wet, cold weather that developed over the course of the job. Every evening, the workers cleaned the site and made sure the area was safe and secure. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of this project was the mistake. When the porch was almost completed, we discovered a design flaw that was overlooked in the initial plans. While not affecting the stability of the structure, the flaw would have detracted from the appearance of the porch after the gutters were attached. Nonetheless, Jasper took full responsiblity for the error, even though I felt partly to blame for not thinking of it myself. Without delay or complaint, Jasper corrected the flaw even though it required him to destroy and rebuild part of the work already done, and made the final project everything we could have desired. Although the project thus took longer than planned, the final invoice was exactly the amount of the contract with no cost overruns. Now, our neighbors ring our doorbell to ask who did our work. We still see people slow down while driving by to admire our addition. I would not hesitate to engage Innovative Woodworks to do any project, regardless of whether or not they had any experience in the matter, because I know I could count on it being done well, and done right.

I loved everything about them. They were very professional. They were very quick to respond to any of my questions. They were terribly detail oriented. Their price was completely fair. I love them and I'm going to use them again in the future.

The team arrived on appointed day and time. Pt wood was of excellent quality. Dominic ( team leader) was responsive to my special requests. Beautiful appearance and excellent workmanship. Cleaned up area afterwards. I am really glad I chose them to do the work.

Overall, the job went well. The finished product is terrific. We did run into a little problem with our original design but Jasper quickly drew up a modification. The construction crew promptly moved forward with the new plan and even added a few things we thought of as the construction took place. The quality of the work is top notch and reflects the price paid. I felt the cost was a little high but once we saw the finished deck, we remembered the old adage: you get what you pay for. We would gladly recommend and use Innovative Woodworks again.

Good, except that top cedar rails split and were replaced, and one of the ones that split they just finished replacing on 09/08/2011. Had to call them again to get them out here to fix!

I am exceptionally pleased with the work performed by Innovative Woodworks and the great new deck that they built for me. Jasper was teriffic designing, quoting, and managing the project as well as getting the property survey done, getting the building permit, and coordinating the project with my Homeowners' Association. Dominic led the on-site construction and was extremely professional, hard working, and detail oriented. The bottom line is that the deck is great looking and of very high quality and I most strongly recommend Innovative Woodworks to others. Jasper and Dominic did exactly what they said they would and they did it on time and at a very good price as well. There really were no problems, issues, or worries throughout the entire project. The whole experience was both pleasant and professional and the new deck is great.

My wife and I spent several weeks reviewing quotes before deciding to award bid to Innovated Woodworks. They provided the steel balusters, which my wife really liked the look of, at the same price as wood and I was particularly impressed by being provided with a detailed computer generated drawing and a more detailed description of the work to be performed than several of the other potential contractors. Spent some time going back and forth via e-mail to make sure a few side items we discussed (replacing a few lengths of damaged siding, adding a gate at top of stair landing, etc.) were included on the quote, but Jasper was patient with us and graciously reworded quotes as requested and returned usually within 24 hours. Once contract was signed we settled on a day a few weeks out and was contacted the week before work was to begin to confirm the date. As promised Innovatives crew showed up at the appointed time on Monday with a young man Dominick leading the crew. The old deck was torn down, debris removed, footers pours, and the deck partially framed out (using temporary supports), all by then end of the first day. Day two the crew had deck frame completed using the finished concrete footers to tie in deck supports. Strairs were installed and railing was installed. Day 3 deck was completed. Railings were finished off with 2 x 6 cap which the crew sanded down to a smooth finish with rounded edges which makes the deck look that much better. They installed the requested gate to help keep our dogs contained in the yard when we're entertaining, replaced the damaged siding as requested, and found a way to keep our back yard fence in tact as well so we can let our pets out without fear of them getting loose. The crew that came out was wonderful. Very respectful and genuinly interested in seeing that we received a finished product that we were pleased with. Dominick even took some time to give me a few tips on how to install a DIY underdeck drainage system that should be fairly easy to install and be more cost effective than those systems currently in the market place. All in all we received a great deck that my family and friends will enjoy for years to come. If I'm ever in a place to have more work done they will definately be first on the list to receive a call and I've already passed their information on to several neighbors who were very impressed with their work and were looking to have work done themselves in the not to distant future. Again, loved the work, great service, wonderful people that are true professionals.

They exceeded my expectations in all regards. They we able to fit me into their schedule at the last minute to complete the project before family arrived. The deck is crafted very well and very pleasing to the eye while being functional. The entire experience from start to finish really exceeded my expectations.

Perfect! Our new screen porch is beautiful They did an outstanding job. We could not be happier. They take great pride in their work and it really shows. They simply do it right. I could not recommend them more. I will definitely use them again. You can tell they love what they do.

We really took the time to look at his stuff and I thought he did beautiful work. He is more expensive, but he does excellent work. The way he makes his arbors and the screened in porches and the detail are all wonderful. He does wrought iron and I would absolutely have him do my deck. He?s a good Georgia boy and my impression is that he?s a fair guy and that he does quality work. He is on top of things with his crews and I was very impressed with what I saw.

The job went great. Once we decided exactly how we wanted to have the porch built we signed the contract and set a start date. Material arrived and the crew got started. Only took 3 days for the construction. We did our own caulking, painting and electrical to save some expense. Innovative worked with us to keep the cost inside our budget. We had to have them come back about three times before we came up with the final plan. They suggested ways we could keep the cost down. Another company wasn't even interested in doing the job because we told them we wanted to do our own painting and electrical.

This company is wonderful! The crew was professional and courteous. Lanette is very friendly and it was easy to set up our appointments. The price they gave us was great. Our stairs look beautiful. We would definitely call them again if we need work on our deck.

There was a little bit of miscommunication between the salesperson that came out to take all of my information. We discussed everything very clearly and when he communicated things to the workers they were slightly changed, though they were not very big changes. The communication through the salesperson to the workers was a little bit difficult but other than that everything was great! The workers were fabulous. The work is simply beautiful.

I called Innovative Woodworks to provide a quote to rebuild an existing deck that was 24 years old. I selected Innovative because of the reviews I read on Angy's List. Frank arrived as agreed. I shared with him what I wanted to accomplish and my budget. (FYI, I had received quotes from two other vendors). Frank sketched the layout right there and actually gave me some ideas for enhancements and educated me on the different types of wood. After looking at the exisiting deck, Frank provided me a quote that was very competitive with the other two...and he was much nicer!!! The quote was very detailed and spelled out everything they were going to do and when. I followed the suggestions of some of the other Angy reviewers and requested Dominick as my lead person. He was absolutely wonderful also. I know I sound gushy, but as a single woman, trying to get this project completed, it was very important that I feel comfortable and trust whomever I was working with. Not only was my deck beautiful upon completition, but they finnished it a day early. They also came back as they promised, to do a follow up. Everyone who has seen the deck, agree that not only is it beautiful, but the quality of work is excellent (it is nicer than the one they tore down). I would recommend Innovative without hesitation.

The overall experience was good, and we are very pleased with their work. however there was one thing we had to call them back to correct, there were some holes that needed filling in the wood. We contacted the company, and they returned to our home to correct the error in a timely manner.

This was an excellent experience from beginning to end. The gentleman who came out for the estimate was wonderful and the crew that came to do the work was equally as good. Professional, courteous, talented, and follow up has been superb. There was one slight issue which was repaired immediately. We are thrilled with our new deck and so glad we found Innovative Woodworks.

They arrived 2 hours later than I was told and finished by 5 p.m. just as I was leaving for an appointment. The next day I noticed holes in the outside wall of my house left open under the deck. The owner came out and fixed the problem with more wood and sealant. The deck looks great and they told me it's now up to code.
