HYDRODYNAMIC

Representatives from Hydrodynamic were in our neighborhood selling their service - house / driveway cleaning using HVLP (high volume low pressure) equipment. When asked about the chemicals they used they said it was an environmentally friendly cleaner that would not harm plants or animals. Based on that information, we had them clean our house and drive. While the job they performed was acceptable (windows were nowhere near as clean as they claimed they would be) - there was a distinct smell of bleach in the air when I returned home. When asked about it - the rep claimed they use so much water that it dilutes the bleach and will not harm the lawn or plants. Within a day my Zoysia lawn around the house, and vegetable plants started to turn brown . I kept watering the both, hoping they would improve. On Aug 19th, I called the owner (Tim) to discuss the situation. He claimed they had never killed anyones lawn in the past but he would come out the next day and look at it with me. He never showed up. I waited a month (Sept 14) to see if the lawn would green back up. It did not. I called Tim again and told him that it did not come back and I wanted him to replace the damaged grass. He said he would be out the next day by 10:00 am to look at it with me and discuss a solution. Again, he never showed up. I waited several more weeks (Oct 7), still hoping that continued watering would help the situation. The grass was still brown. I called Tim again and left a message indicating he had missed two prior appointments with me, my lawn was still dead and I wanted it replaced. I am still waiting for a return call. I guess I'll be seeing Tim in small claims court. Hydrodynamic killed over 600 sq ft of my lawn. DO NOT LET THEM NEAR YOUR HOME. Not only is their service subpar, but they are unresponsive and lack professionalism. I only wish I would have had Angie's list at the time to see what others had responded.

Initially they didn't clean all they were supposed to and a large area on driveway was still very stained, but I caught them in the neighborhood and his crew did come back to finish (they hadn't been paid yet). On the large stained area, all the guy did was fill up a bucket with water and bleach and poured in on (which did work). When Matt came by for the check, I pointed out that the concrete still had dirt in areas. He said that's normal and once it dried (it was a rainy day) those areas would be perfectly clean. But, after several days of drying and sun, it's still looking like it did. Also, his "$70,000 machine" brushing technique and special chemicals were supposed to be much more gentle than regular pressure washing (I told him I was concerned about how pressure washing can skim off a coat of the concrete, exposing the pebbles in it). But, I now have a lot of rock showing through despite my strongly stated concern about that to him before he did the work. In sum, his job was shoddy and did not represent the promises he made before doing the job. I now know that, despite how professional someone may be, that I'll never again hire anyone who's "working in the neighborhood." This was my first and last time I'll fall for that.

The initial work was done in August and as of October, no sealant was provided. A sealant needs to be applied to a clean surface, so if a sealant ever shows up, I would have to pressure wash again. I wish I had never contracted with HydroDynamic for any services. He is a waste of time and money. His closing promise was, if I was not happy, don't pay. Well I and others should not.
