Excellent experience all around. Jim Riddle is great to work with. He was prompt, professional, personable, and - very important - considerate of my dogs. Jim came at the beginning and end of each work day (a two-day project) and made sure I was happy with the job. The crew was great as well. And our newly painted house looks awesome. I am happy to recommend Earthly Matters on Angie's List and have already recommended them to my neighbors.

Earthly Matters did a top notch job on all aspects of the project. I'd recommend asking for Patrick and his team, especially William. Their price was slightly lower than the estimate that I received from a large, well-known painting firm. My experience is that they do stand behind their work if there is something that you are not happy with. The only thing I did not like was paying an additional fee for using a credit card, but I was aware of it in advance.

Excellent job! Great customer service! Pat came out and estimated our home and the repairs it needed, including replacing rotting wood around windows with PVC non rotting material. The whole house was power washed and cleaned, then the windows that needed fixing were fixed, then they primed and painted all trim including gutters, garage doors, front doors, and shutters. The work took about 5 days start to finish and they cleaned up and put everything back on our deck. I highly recommend Earthly Matters Painting and Contracting. I have used both and will continue to use them as needed.

We primarily worked with Jim. He was extremely punctual during all scheduled appointments. He was professional and polite. Jim was also our project manager and the painting turned out beautifully. The only issue that we had was with the actual crew. Their equipment caused our breaker to flip and instead of contacting Jim or contacting us, they just packed up and left for the day. Overall the experience was good and we would recommend Earthly Matters and use them again in the future.

Their crews showed up each morning and took their shoes off before coming inside, then did a fabulous job of painting every room. They patched all the holes in the walls and taped everything to make sure only what needed painted got the paint. I can't describe how happy we are with their work and how nice and clean they left our home every day. They were the most thoughtful and polite painters we've ever used and we really appreciate their work as well as their manners. We would definitely recommend them to anyone and will use them again when it's time to paint some more.

Update 3/30/2016 After posting my original review, Earthly Matters called to discuss what happened. Basically, I was told Earthly Matters was "not equipped" to do my job. My wife specifically asked if they do these sort of jobs when making the initial appointment and they stated ?yes?. Would have been a better use of everyone's time if we had proper information beforehand. At least they monitor their reviews on Angie?s List closely. *** 3/29/2016 Salesperson came out to give me an estimate on painting the first floor of my home. He never got back to me even after I tried contacting him via e-mail.

Still a highly satisfied customer! It's been two years, and I just want to say again what a great job Earthly Matters did on our house. We are first-time owners, so we had no experience with painters. We interviewed several different company representatives, but chose them in the end and we've never regretted it.. Jim, his son, and painters are professional, courteous, and affordable. And, most of all, their work is gorgeous. We love our house, and others often compliment us on the exterior and interior paint work that you all did. Thanks again, Earthly Matters.

We previously used Earthly Matters for an exterior paint job and were extremely satisfied with their work. We recently planned on repainting our kitchen cabinets to a lighter color so our kitchen would appear brighter. We called Earthly Matters and Luis came out for an estimate. When we told him our plan, he stopped us. He said our cabinets looked great and their color was attractive. Yes, he could paint them, but he suggested that we explore changing our light bulbs to attain our goal before embarking on an expensive project. His solution worked for us - different lighting accomplished our goal. We think one of the qualities all of us want in a contractor is honesty. Luis and Earthly Matters certainly demonstrated that trait. He could easily have sold us a paint job, but opted to provide a helpful, and far less expensive solution, instead. We?re grateful that he put the interests of his customers first. We highly recommend them not only for the quality of their work, but also the respect they show for customers.

I filled out the contact form on the provider's website. I provided all details of work needed and all my contact information. It's been almost a week and I've received no response. This is poor customer service and completely unprofessional. If the provider can't even manage to call a customer to set up a time for a quote, then I have serious doubts as to the responsiveness during a project. I'll move on to someone else.

They cane within one day to perform an estimate and were very responsive and fair in price.

So I purposely waited almost 4 weeks after the job was done --- to make sure I hadn't missed anything on the exterior paint job. First - the foreman was great on the job. He helped with anything needed - and any of my questions... BUT -as with most paint companies, they hire out their workers, and they don't actually work for the company. These are the people I have the issues with. They were professional, but everything was rushed and the spray on the house sides is not even, it is very thin. I had them replace my deck steps and paint the railings, steps, and that was too thin also. I can see I will have to repaint this and I don't feel like I should do that - it should have been thick enough on the first coat. I'm going to recommend going with someone who brushes the paint on, or who you can stand and watch to make sure they do 2 even coats..

After I contacted Earthly Matters, they sent Pat Winchester to inspect the garage and provide a quote. Mr. Winchester showed up within 48 hours and at the scheduled time. The quote seemed reasonable and I know Earthly Matters had a good reputation in my neighborhood and on Angie's List, so I engaged the company. Pat was able to schedule the work crew within the time frame he promised and the crews showed up on time. The work took two days as expected and the outcome is terrific. They did everything I expected and even took pictures of the repairs in progress for me to submit to my insurance company. I think Earthly Matters is extremely professional and I will certainly use them for future painting projects.

After a couple of follow- ups they performed outstanding! Exceeded my expectations in every aspect.

I called and spoke with a lady, I advised I would like to have an estimate to have a house completely scraped, cleaned, primed but not painted. She advised she would "send it out to them and someone will contact you to make an appointment".........A week has passed and I have not been contacted by anyone. If they have too much work, or do not want the job, they could have at least called to say so. If this is an indication of their professionalism I am happy to have discovered it right from the beginning.

The overall experience with Earthly Matters was fantastic!!! My townhouse is only 3 1/2 years old and I needed to get the exterior painted/repaired from the "builder's grade" quality of paint. . I called 4 different painting companies to get estimates. Earthly Matters was the first company to come out to give an estimate. Patti Fuller was the Project Manager. She is very personable and professional. She asked several questions and then summarized exactly what she was going to quote so that I would not have any surprises. She obviously is very customer oriented and she wanted to be sure the quote experience was a pleasant one. To my surprise, I had the quote the next morning. I thought it looked great, but I wanted to do my due diligence so I waited to get the 3 other quotes. Another great surprise...Earthly Matters was very competitive! I approved the quote and got on the schedule. Patti contacted me and told me that they would pressure wash on Wednesday and get the painting done on Thursday. So, Wednesday comes and they are here at 8:15 (exactly as promised). Patti introduced me to Elmer who was the crew foreman. She then verified the colors with me. I had to leave while they pressure washed the house. When I returned, the house looked great (as well as the driveway, walkway, porch and back patio). This was the only evidence that they were at my house. The next morning, Elmer and crew are there at 8:15 ready to work. The crew was very professional and very courteous. Obviously, they are very experienced painters. They finished around 5:00 and everything looked great. They cleaned up very well and Elmer even asked if I wanted the crew to move the patio furniture that I moved back onto the patio. I politely declined since they had already put in a full day of work. I am very pleased with the job Earthly Matters did for me. I would not hesitate hiring them to do additional work and I highly recommend them to all of my neighbors. Keep up the great work!

Earthly Matters were neat, careful, professional and timely. I expanded the scope of the project as the work started and they handled it flawlessly and in stride. They completed the job in just 5 days and came back to finish tidying up the job several weeks later after some additional construction work was completed. Jim was an excellent project manager and was enthusiastic, professional and helpful throughout the entire process. I got several quotes for this project and while not the lowest, Earthly Matters were very competitive and I feel they provided great value for money. I will certainly use them again.

They did great work for me. They did such a good job on the first occasion that I hired them again, and I'd use them in the future. Their pricing was a little higher than I liked, but they did good work and sometimes it's worth it to pay for the professionalism.

Everything went well. We worked with Jim, he was always available and responsive. We had a tight timeline and they had to work around other contractors and they did it without complaining. The overall worksmanship was good, there were a few touch ups here and there but they were handled right away and Jim made sure we were completely satisfied with he job. They even came back out to color our new back patio door which came later then expected. ( I mention this mainly because other companies we inquired with were not willing to accommodate things like that without charging extra). We also had a bunch of satellite antennas on the roofs which we do not use, Jim referred to a guy who did a great job removing the antennas and patching up the holes that are made when installing them. I highly recommend Jim and Earthly matters for any paint work that you are planning to get done. The entire experience was stress free.

If you are looking for a top notch, professional, accountable painting company, look no further. Pat Winchester was our estimator and project manager; he was punctual and kept us informed every single day of what we could expect. Our project was delayed a few times due to rain and freezing cold; we always received early communication from Pat if he expected a delay. I never had to leave a message and then wonder what the plan was going to be; he anticipated every delay and kept us in a strong communication loop about any changes. The estimate was right in the middle of the five we received from other companies and when I asked for the Angie's List discount, they honored it (this was not the case with a different company). Gaspard and crew were very professional and pleasant. They worked hard to ensure that every inch of our home was treated with respect. I had heard so many horror stories about the work habits of painters and I could not have been more pleased with the job they did. They made sure that the job site was left clean and neat at the end of each work day and arrived the next morning right on time as promised. The weather conditions were very challenging for this crew, yet the quality of the paint job was great. Excellent company; I would recommend them highly to anyone.

This is a great company. Jim came out and bid the job. One of the most competitive bids we received. They worked around our schedule. Had to reschedule a couple of times because of my travel schedule. Jim was always on top of it. He was at the job every morning to see things got rolling properly. The crew did an exceptional job. Cleaned up every day. The painting was professional and thorough. Jim's constant assurance that any concerns or issues we had with the job would be addressed was a welcome departure from what most companies offer. Totally hands on! Feel comfortable in placing your confidence in this company!

Working with Ed Okenica, or project manager with Earthly Matters, was a joy from beginning to end. We met with 4 high quality painting contractors before choosing Earthly Matters. Pricing was extremely reasonable and we still received a top notch paint job. Ed was extremely responsive and patient with us even when we weren't sure of about the color we chose. He and his guys painted several areas for us at the beginning of the job so we could feel comfortable with everything. They were able to get us on their schedule very quickly and he was there every day to make sure things were moving along. Crew was extremely respectful and nice and did an amazing job. We had 2 colors chosen on our window/door trim and window sashes and doors so there was a lot of detailed brush painting and they did an awesome job. We are extremely happy and would hire them for any and all of our painting needs.

Top notch experience with this company. Exterior painting of or house was completed within three days and it looks great. A neighbor had his house painted at approximately the same time, but went with another company to save a few dollars. It took them two weeks with numerous callbacks to get it right. Crew was outstanding and very conscientious. Cleanup was excellent.

I have been a regular and constant customer for over 8 years - previously, this company has been dependable. However, this time, I could not get an estimate - after several attempts to call and remind them I was still waiting on the estimate. This is very frustrating since the manager who has overseen several projects, came to look at the work and spent over an hour with me as we discussed the job . As usual, Brian was very helpful and recommend several options. This job included several internal bedrooms and bathrooms - nothing usual and everything very routine. Brian was late to the appointment, but called to say he was running approx 20 minutes late - so good communications on his part, and I really don't mind a delay when a contractor calls. When he finally got to my house, Brian was professional and he was helpful with his suggestions. When he was leaving, Brian said he would get the estimate to me as soon as possible, but likely the next day. We even talked about when his crew could start, if the estimate was in line with previous work they had done. After this - no word from Brian. After 1 week, I left phone call messages and even sent him a text message - finally, we said that his internet service was out so he was not able to email me the estimate, but I would get the estimate to me in the next day or so...even if he had to go to a restaurant to be able to use their internet so he could email me the estimate for my project. I called again after the 2nd week and left a voice message - no reply. So, I moved on to another contractor. Too bad - I had previously liked the work and although pricing was not the lowest, they had always done a good job for me.

Jim Riddle was my contact person, and he was the one who gave me my estimate. Jim was extremely prompt and gave a pre-phone call time frame to ensure time still was convenient. He was very professional and very detailed in estimate. He knew I did not want add on charges once the job had begone. He wrote up my estimate within a couple of days and we scheduled the start date within the week. Jim considers each job as if it was his own home. The painting crew was wonderful. Miguel was the crew manager. He and his crew went over and above my expectations to cover my plants, hot tub, and personal belongings. Each day the crew cleaned up and made it easy for me to use my backyard for my dogs. The crew arrived at 8:15 and left at 6:30 each day. Jim showed up everyday, sometimes a couple of times a day, to make sure I was pleased with the progress. I will definitely use Earthly Matters again. This company wants to ensure customer satisfaction with every job.
