One of the best experiences I've had with a contractor from start to finish. Salesman, David Morris, was professional, courteous and responsive to any and all questions I asked of him. Ashley and Brandon in the office kept us informed about the schedule, were great about reminders and pleasant to speak with on the phone. Andy and Chris, who performed the work, were top notch. On the day of the job they called ahead, arrived early, were super friendly and did a great job. We reviewed the work order and they had no issues with my additional request to cover up the rust stains with paint that I provided. They reviewed all of the work that they completed, cleaned up and finished the job within a few hours. Answered any and all questions in the most courteous and professional manner. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Will be recommending Chimney Solutions to all of my neighbors...and many of them definitely need new rain pans.

We interviewed potential contractors but their suggested solution seemed awkward. We requested a bid from "Chimney Solutions", and a very knowledgeable technician (Quinton) gave us a comprehensive explanation of his approach and an understanding of the skill sets required to have a successful outcome. Quinton followed up the next day with a "line item" bid that reflected all of the specifics discussed on our walk through. He also patiently and promptly addressed a multitude of questions and concerns that we had. Likewise, the office personnel (Ashley) followed up by reviewing and verifying the scope of work. Next, the scheduler (Brandon) called to identify the two technicians that would be dispatched. Andy and Jose were punctual. In short order they had assessed the scope of work, placed their dropcloths, and with "coordinated " purpose got right to work. Eight hours later (with only a brief break) Andy and Jose had masterfully completed the job! With all the improvements and repairs (a new low-profile...cleverly placed gas shut-off valve and the hearth stone artfully restored to include gas fireplace logs reinstalled with thoughtful precision) the work area was left clean and you would be hard pressed to know that we had workmen here all day. We would highly recommend "Chimney Solutions" to anyone in need of fireplace repairs.

It seems the work performed is of high quality but dealing with them was a hassle. Quinton was our sales rep and he was a bit lackadaisical in his explanation and made it clear that while we were trying to stop a drip, it might not work. I thought the price was a bit high and only gained confidence after talking to the manager Chip about what would probably stop the drip. The Khris and Matt came out to replace the rain pan and shroud, upon finishing they informed me I might think about replacing the corner boards and trim as they were a little warped and water damaged. So this is my first issue, I'm spending $1,000 to work on the chimney and instead of the sales rep discussing all the issues with me, I'm informed of more work that is needed in the next 2 years after they complete the job. I would rather address all the issues at once. They also mentioned they used my old termination top per the contract, which was something I didn't notice I thought they were replacing everything on the top of the chimney. Upon reviewing my contract I realized they were supposed to replace the water damaged trim they just recommended I think about dealing with in the future. So I reached out to them to discuss this and they told me it was accidentally excluded from the work order and they missed that, also that it wasn't that badly damaged and probably didn't need replaced. Since we are now being precise with the contract I asked what they were going to do since they didn't fulfill the contract. They responded they could either come back out and replace the trim or offer me a $30-$50 refund since that is about what the materials would have cost. I think we all know if I just wanted them to come out and replace my trim it would costs me well over $50. I opted to have them come out and complete the contract and the work looks good and luckily the drip did stop.

Because of water leaking inside our fireplace, we scheduled a service call with Chimney Solutions. Chip was on time, friendly, and clear with his explanation of our repair options. He emailed the promised paperwork instantly and was quick with his reply when we decided to schedule service. Larry arrived ten minutes early (wow!) to install the new cap and was finished in less than 30 minutes. He was also kind enough to make a phone call back to the office for permission to apply what we'd already paid for the service call toward our cap installation (even though the 30-day window had passed). Overall, this was a great experience!

I had leaks inside the house that were coming from the joints where the siding met the corner boards. Andy and Jose were great,.. very cordial and professional. They arrived right on time, and did a great job. I'm totally pleased.

From what I can see from the ground, they did a great job It is a noticeable improvement over the old cover. They fabricate the chimney caps themselves, and the turn around time between measuring and completing the job was very quick. Very good company to work with

The company was able to come out on a Saturday which was greatly appreciated. I received a confirmation phone call and email a couple of days in advance. The service technician showed up on time. He was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He showed me how to use my wood burning fireplace. He even emailed a PDF with details on the type of fireplace. I also liked that he emailed my invoice to me. I would definitely use the company again. I only gave a B in price because I'm not sure if the price is too much or not since this is my first chimney inspection and cleaning.

Called the company and had an appointment scheduled within 2 days. Technician called the day of appointment to let me know he could be there early. We agreed for him to come early. He arrived exactly as scheduled. The technician was very professional. He did a good job and the house was perfectly clean when he left. Couldn't even tell he was there. Would use them again.

We had recently moved into an older home with a fireplace and did not have any documentation as to when chimney was last cleaned. Based on reviews on Angie's List, I called and set up an appointment with Chimney Solutions to clean and inspect our chimney. Chip Caruth and his associate from Chimney Solutions showed up on time and proceeded to clean and inspect the chimney and fireplace. They carefully laid out cloth tarps to protect our carpet and floors while cleaning the flue and firebox. They then proceeded to conduct the inspection and provide a summary of the results with recommendations. Based on those recommendations and corroborating comments from our gutter and painting contractors, we had Chimney Solutions schedule the replacement of the rain pan. The rain pan arrived sooner than anticipated by Chimney Solutions and they called to ask if it would be okay to install several days early. With our approval, Chris and Saul from Chimney Solutions arrived on the scheduled date and removed the old and installed the new rain pan without incident. Throughout all our interactions with personnel from Chimney Solutions they were courteous and professional and cleaned up after themselves leaving everything neat and tidy. The office personnel were a pleasure to deal with even after adjusting their prices to reflect the discount offered through Angie's List for work performed. I have no problem recommending Chimney Solutions based on their professionalism, courteousness and quality of work.

Lance was not only on time, he arrived early for the inspection. He took detailed photos of my chimney and pointed out areas that may be contributing to the leak. We talked about the main areas to focus on and he provided me with same day estimates and emailed me the pictures on the same evening of the service. The positive reviews on Angies List seem to fit the bill with this company.

I was very pleased. They were quick to respond, arrived when they said they would, made their recommendation -- they did not pressure me into following their recommendation. When I did decide to go with the recommendation, they did the work in a timely manner, with no unexpected price increases, and they cleaned up and left. It went great!

The replacement included all the parts needed. It is stainless steel (should last a long time) and comes down the side much further than old one did.

After scheduling with Chimney Solutions for a Friday about a week and a half out we got a phone call from them saying they had an earlier slot, if I was interested. I was, so they scheduled me for the Tuesday of that week. Larry & Mike finished their job before mine early and called me to see if I would like them to come by early. Unfortunately, I was on the other side of town and couldn't make it any earlier. It was no problem, and they said they'd see me at our scheduled time. They were right on the nose. They spread out a drop cloth, and then they started working. They were good-natured and talked with me as they worked, explaining what they were doing. When I asked how to take off the wonderfully ugly '80's insert the previous owner had put over the fireplace, they not only removed it, but hauled it off without additional charge. They ran a camera up the chimney, explaining what they were looking for and what problems would look like, examined the top of the chimney from the roof, filled a hole where the gas came into the firebox with grout, and checked the gas service for leaks. They vacuumed up a LOT of wasps that landed in the fireplace when they opened the damper. When examining the top of the chimney outside, Larry noticed that the rain pan on the chimney was starting to hold water. He explained that it wasn't showing rust yet, and it probably had another 2 or so years left on it before it would need to be replaced. He emailed me a quote for the replacement so that I would have an idea of what it would cost (Also, it's their policy to provide a quote if they find a problem, but he put no pressure on me to schedule a time to do it or anything like that). When they left, the hearth, carpet, and room looked as good or better than when they came. We were very satisfied and will be using them again.

Responsive and punctual for the appointment. Performed inspection of inside and outside of the chimney, cleaned the inside of the fireplace. At the end of the inspection he recommended $800+ of repair work that needed to be done. I just purchased the home 8 months prior and inspection on fireplace was fine. I asked what was critical and he named a couple of items and said he could do them that day for $300 if I wrote him a good review and gave him a little cash tip. We looked at the fireplace together and he showed me the cracks that needed to be repaired and why and I agreed to have him complete. As we looked at the fireplace together he then noted that here were other areas of concern that he hadn't included on his initial report. He said he would take care of those for the $300 plus a couple of dollars cash. I agreed. He completed the work, but said he would need to come back to finish the repair as he didn't have the high temperature caulk to seal everything, but he was in my area every day or 2 and would just stop back by. I paid him and gave him $20 tip with a handshake he would return. He emailed me following the appointment to remind me to give him a good review online and I responded that I would once he returned and completed the work. I have not heard from him or the company since. ***UPDATE FROM INITIAL REVIEW*** I updated my ratings to balance the Initial visit with the follow-up visit from management. The Service Manager called after my review and came out on my schedule to review the work performed and make things right. He cleaned up the fireplace (made it look very nice) and educated me on some basic fireplace usage and safety tips. He was professional, apologetic, and informative. He did confirm that the monies I previously spent were appropriate pricing. I have removed my rating in the pricing category because I can't believe how expensive the service is, but I have no basis to say it isn't an awesome deal for the work. If I have issues in the future, I will call Chimney Solutions in the future. Thank you for the satisfactory resolution.

Everyone at Chimney Solutions has superlative customer service etiquette. I contacted them through Angie?s List (this was my first time using Angie?s List) and it wasn?t long (less then 24 hours) before they reached out to me to make an appointment to have my fireplace cleaned and inspected. Although, I live outside of the usually service area for Chimney Solutions they still honored my request because I had already purchased the service through Angie?s List. The day of the appointment the technician (Chris) arrived promptly. He was very thorough and explained everything he was going to do during his visit. He cleaned the inside of my fireplace and climbed up on the roof to inspect for any concerns. Afterwards, he discussed his findings with me and offered to send me a quote with several different options for some services I may want to consider for my fireplace. I received the quote (by email) within a day or two. I appreciate good customer service, courtesy, and respect and I received that; not just from the technician but also from the lovely lady who scheduled my appointment. I am the kind of person who will pay a higher price for good customer service as opposed to going to a cheaper company who would not appreciate my business. I highly recommend their services. Thanks

Very pleased! Money wise do not recall, but we r glad we went w/them. I used them not quit a yr ago to clean the chimney & will do so again this fall! Our fireplace is used every evening during cooler weather, we r hooked on the smell of the wood, the sound, & the ambiance....bring on cold weather, we'll be ready!

Went very well. Showed up on time as scheduled. Prepped area for cleaning, keeping everything protected and clean in the house. Worked efficiently and quickly. Provided detailed report on inspection and items that needed to be addressed. Items that were needing attention quotes were provided, but were not a hard sell, provided for future action at our prompting. Would use this company again.

Custom oversized pan and cap constructed. Techs arrived on time, complete in just over a hour. No more leaks.
