Description of Work: Price of protection plan and service fee are a bit higher than other warranty companies but they have been responsive and electrical and plumbing work has been done to our satisfaction.

Description of Work: I hired BPG to do a pre-drywall home inspection. Chuck was very knowledgable and helpful while conducting the inspection. He was talkative and kept us informed throughout the process. Fortunately the builders did a good job and he wasn't able to find many issues. He did make a great catch on a foundation issue, that we were later able to address with the builder. I look forward to using Chuck again for the final home inspection.

Description of Work: I do not recommend this company. Have them as our home warranty company. They are fine unless you have a problem and call. Customer service reps are nice enough but if you file a claim you will hear back from a snarky account rep who will be condescending and completely unhelpful. They will tell you they are researching your issue and will call you back but never do. Spend your money somewhere else.

Description of Work: The inspection process we great. We worked with Tom, he was very helpful and knowledgable about every aspect of the home. I didn't feel rushed and was able to ask a lot of questions. The inspection took about 2 hours and I received a full report with pictures about 3 days later. Overall the process was vey easy and good. I would recommend Tom Heyl to anyone in the St Louis area needing home inspection.

Description of Work: Our potential new home was inspected by Dave Jobe of BPG.. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. He was personable and professional and did not talk down to us. We had one follow up question which he answered completely and quickly. Dave was recommended by our broker and I would certainly recommend him and his firm.

Description of Work: I RECENTLY HAD PLACED A CLAIM TO REPAIR MY AIR CONDITIONING UNIT. ON 9/29/06, BEST HOME WARRANTY SENT OUT A TECH TO LOOK AT MY AC AND HE DIAGNOSED THAT THE COMPRESSOR WAS GROUNDED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HE FAXED HIS REPORT TO THE HOME WARRANTY COMPANY FOR APPROVAL. I CALLED THE NEXT DAY AND SPOKE WITH A REP WHO TOLD ME IT HAD BEEN APPROVED. I ASKED A QUESTION ABOUT THE TECH'S COMMENTS TO ME ABOUT SOME OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES AND IF THOSE WOULD BE COVERED. THE REP ASKED ME WHAT WENT ON WITH THE TECH AND I TOLD HER. THEY THOUGHT HIS COMMENTS WERE SUSPECT SO THEY SENT OUT FOR A 2ND OPINION. THE NEW TECH CAME OUT 10/2/06 AND GAVE THE SAME DIAGNOSIS. I SPOKE WITH BHW TODAY AND THEY TOLD ME MY CLAIM WAS DENIED DUE TO "LACK OF MAINTENANCE." I HAVE REVIEWED MY CONTRACT AND THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS ON AC UNITS DUE TO MAINTENANCE AND DOESN'T SPECIFY ANY "MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES". I WANT THEM TO REPLACE THE COMPRESSOR AND PAY FOR THE REPAIR.
