Description of Work: Gut kitchen and design new kitchens. New cabinets, tile flooring new kitchen island paint. Install hardwood floors through rest of house and paint down stairs. Instal new appliances and powder room fixtures. Almost finished. Very meticulous in their work.

Description of Work: I contacted this company to give us an estimate on repairing / replacing our roof. They didn't call back for 2 weeks. I just called them again. The gentleman I spoke to said they no longer do my area. I pointed out that they did work 5 miles away from me but he informed me that they don't have enough workers and have cut back on the areas they do. This is misleading information and I think this needs to be reflected in their Angie's List info.

Description of Work: We have a large, sprawling 1.5 story house with a huge roof. Parts of the roof are very steep and other parts are quite flat. We have had leaking problems on the flattish parts, and they recommended using a rubberized sealant material instead of tar paper to prevent leaks in the future. We also had a number of ruined plywood boards over the garage that had to be replaced, with additional ventilation added to prevent future problems. Artech did a wonderful job, were super prompt and courteous, cleaned up thoroughly, and replaced a skylight and some ruined fascia boards. Couldn't be happier with the results!

Description of Work: A tree fell on my roof during the snowstorm last year. Artech was one of several contractors I chose to provide an estimate of repair. He was the only contractor that informed me that my current roof had been discontinued. I had to fight with my insurance company, and Mr. Velasco was very helpful in providing quotes and details for the claim. He was very willing to work with me, and I the roof portion that was repaired looks better than the old roof, and the older portion is only about 4 years old. They use high quality materials, and explained everything they were doing every step. I needed construction repair in addition to roofing, and I am very satisfied that I chose Artech. I would definitely chose them again. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: The original bidding and work went well. But a leak developed about 6 weeks ago, and we've had no response to telephone calls requesting that someone come take a look.

Description of Work: Did not quote metal roof installation because they only install shingles.

Description of Work: Replaced the entire roof, replaced a quarter of the entire Fascia and underhang including soffits, and replaced the gutters and downspouts.

Description of Work: They cleaned extremely dirty gutters inside and out. I was surprised the gutters came as clean as they did. We had to cancel our first appointment at the last minute because of an accident requiring hospitalization. We waited a while for the second.

Description of Work: hired Yilber Velasco of Artech Roofing in June, 2012 to replace my hail-damaged roof near Gatlinburg. Even though I was not staying at my home during the period of time following the hail storm, Mr Velasco did all that he said he would do & did it excellently! I was completely pleased with his performance of the job!! Mr Velasco was a pleasure to work with. & it would be hard to find anyone more polite. He is a man of integrity & I highly recommend his company. I give him 5 stars

Description of Work: I called to have this company come for a complete roofing estimate. I looked up the company .....realizing that they had company addresses in various states. I called him...asking the question regarding about whether they were a local companyor an out of state company. He assured me that their "satellite office" was located in west Knoxville, that they also had a satellite company in another location. He established on the phone the fact that my roof would be covered by insurance (dueto the previous year's hail storm). He was very prompt in coming, presented his information well.....was a very energeticsalesperson and friendly. He was, however, also quite pressuring. He told me how he had been an insuranceadjustor for many years before getting into the roofing business. I asked about the person that people had referred to on Angie's list......he made it very clear that he was the president and that person was the distribution (?) manager who oversawroofing projects. He said they had several crews, but wasn't too clear about if the crews were hired for only local needs.He really pushed the fact that he could "get more money for me" from the insurance company.....he knew exactly how all of thatwas calculated. I told him I would think about it , as he was one of 3 estimates I would be having ( he also knew that up front). Hewasn't too pleased with the fact that I was not going to sign a contact right there. He asked for my insurance papers that showedmy coverage. I told him I couldn't give him my original papers but could make a copy for him. He was eventually ok with that. He made an app't to come back in 2 days (which he did) to show me his calculations....and how much money he "could get me". In the meantime, I decided to look up this satellite office.....with a suite #. I used my GPS, ending up at a UPS office. I went in and asked about this particular "suite #",mentioning that the "suite #" must be a PO box #. He said, "Yes, that's true. We have no control as to how a business advertises their location." I commented about how deceptive that was. He simply nodded his head yes and smiled. From that......I KNEW I would not go with Artech Roofing. They may do good work, BUT....when a business is that pressuring, makes promises to get more money for me (ethitics ?) and then is totally deceptive about having a local business "satellite".......I wanted NO part of doing business with this company. Also, he made comments several times as to the importance of his company having a good rating on Angie's List. When he came back for the 2nd time, I told him I needed to go with a local co. I thanked for his time and energy. He was not pleased. In the end, I went with a long standing, highly professional local roofing co. , used by my insurance agent 2 timesover the years. I should have checked with my agent from the beginning. They did a superior job, and having a large warehousewhere I could view several shingles to have a larger visual....that helped me in making my shingle selection.
