I used Angie's List to get help for a small deck (240+ sf) refurbishment project and was referred to the Alpharetta, Andy Oncall office. I received a call to set an appointment with one of their handymen 2+ weeks out, 7/22 at 10AM (no email confirmation). Monday, July 22nd around 10 AM, I get a knock on my front door and it's the handyman from Andy Oncall. No pre-phone call or reminder prior. I take him back to show him the deck. It had just been pressure washed and it was showing all its warts. He tells me that only 20% of the wood can be used and that I will probably need 20-25, 12-16', 2x6 pressure treated boards. I wasn't surprised and also asked to have the lattice on one side replaced (6 6x8 pieces, and 10, 12', 2x4s) and the deck repainted. He wanted to include a trash bin, too. He said he would price it out and get back to me. Yesterday, I received a quote to replace all the boards and extras for $7200 plus $1160 for materials. I priced the materials at retail to be $750 w paint. It's at most a 2 1/2 day job and he's charging $7200 for his and maybe a helper's time? $4000 would have been a high bid. I am certain I can get a new deck built for $8000. Does the extra $4000+ cover the Andy Oncall markup? I wait 14-20 days for an estimate that says "I really don't want this job but I will do it for $8400". What a total waste of my time!

It went well, repaired the hole, painted and cleaned up. He even checked in the holes to make sure critters had not made nests inside.

It did not. I will stick with the little nice guys instead of the ones who have gotten too big for their britches

The door was replaced in an acceptable manner.

To be honest, I had a near bad experience at first with the handyman that came in the first time. He did the job but the finishing quality was horrible. He promised to come back and fix it but after 2 weeks, he never did. To make the story short, I discovered that the handyman was no longer working with Andy OnCall (that is why he finished and left on a hurry). I have to give this company a perfect A because the way they stood behind their warranty and the way they handle the situation. They send another craftsman quickly and took care of everting at no cost to me (not all companies will do that).The craftsman was always on time, professional and clean. You can definitively see the difference in quality, and now, I am extremely happy with the results. Quality was near perfection! I will definitely call them again for my next remodeling projects resting assure they are a serious company that will make sure you are satisfied with the job done. Moreover, their one-year warranty is impressive.

They were great. they were good, very prefessional. they were excellent!. And I would recommend them to so many people and I would use them again if need arises.

We had to call again for the leaking and the gutters today we have another company. The gutters were filled w/debries after we paid on 4/9/15 for the job.

had them come out to quote repairing some rotted wood around a picture window. While they were here, asked about filling in some post holes around an iron stair rail outside, figuring if it wasn't too much, I'd have that done as well. For the window repair, the quote was about $935 for labor to repair the wood PLUS Materials- and they weren't sure that's where it would end since they hadn't opened it up. I could buy a new window and have it installed for not much more. To fill the small 3 inch holes on the stair rails - $300+Materials - really???? When I asked what their rate per hour was - they said that's not how they work - it's by the job. And it would take at least 2-3 days for all the repairs - including 4-6 hours just on the stairs. They 'ran out' of quote sheets and hand wrote the quote on notebook paper. I told them I'd talk to my husband and they said they would email the quote to me. I still haven't seen the formal quote. I fixed the post holes myself for a whopping $9.00 and it took all of about 15 minutes. I'll never call this company again. I think they drove into a nice neighborhood thought - here's an easy way to make money

They did a great job. They showed up on time. It was good. They just did a detailed deck and they do a nice job of getting all done really good.

They are wonderful. I have used them twice and they are very pleasant. I would use him again. They got here very fast from the time i called them and they are very professional.

We have a couple closet bi fold doors that continually kept coming off the track. He came out and recommended that the track completely be replaced. He promptly went and bought the parts and got to work.They open and close so much more smoothly now. He was very professional and punctual, and too the time to clean up the mess he made. I would definite call him the next time I require a handy man.

For each item, - I talked through with the handyman and he gave me a reason why he could not do it or could not say if it would address the issue. "I am not an electrician" (yet the company advertises that they do electrical work and I confirmed this when I made the appointment. A valve that was leaking in my sink - the response was, "if it were me I wouldn't fix it". I called bc i want someone to fix it. Very much a waste of my time.

I had a good experience with them. They got everything done and they were easy to work with. The quality of the work was fine. I would recommend them.

We received the quote as promised, and we look forward to scheduling a start date with this company, we had to wait for the right timing for us , but we will be using them to paint our exterior and interior of our home, we appreciated the information and advice they gave and suggestions and guidance on how this process would be completed by thier company.
