Aladdin Insulation & Home Improvement

I especially appreciate that they didn't inflate their price for being on Angie's List, which a few other vendors I've called have done. (This is something Angie's List might want to investigate. I always get competitive pricing from other vendors--on and off Angie's List, so I know when Angie's List vendors are way too high. Granted, quality can cost a little more but some are gouging the members.) Not only did Aladdin discount the price for my finding them on Angie's List, they also gave me a small senior discount so my cost was less than some of my neighbors have paid to other companies or individuals who use cheaper insulation that contains formaldehyde or other toxic chemicals. Aladdin uses formaldehyde-free, non-toxic product, which I greatly appreciate. (Formaldehyde is a proven carcinogen.) The installers are terrific and very honest. I also had requested HVAC duct cleaning but they had the integrity to show me the ducts didn't need cleaning and saved me that money. In a couple of years, with new carpet and a cat, I'll certainly call them to revisit the duct cleaning. They cleaned up everything to perfection. Not a single tuft of insulation anywhere. And their warranty is beyond impressive. I wish all vendors were as professional, pleasant and brought as much integrity to the job as these guys do. Call them if you need insulation or duct cleaning. I absolutely will refer this company to my new neighbors and others who need their services. I can't say that about every vendor I've used so far.

Tried 3 telephone calls after seeing ad & listing in Feb 2014 Atlanta SE Edition of Angie's list. Left 2 messages but never received a return call despite the detailed message of my location & my request for services. Third call resulted in an answering service who put me on hold and " coughed" throughout the entire conversation. I had to repeat info several times because the person was coughing & could not hear my response. She provided no useful information: no reason for the lack of response to previous messages, and could not even confirm if this outfit actually works in my area. What a waste of time. Don't waste yours! This is not what I expected ( and paid for) from Angie's list. Very disappointing. JSM

They were fantastic in every way. The guy was completely awesome. The owner came out to do the quote. He was very nice and personable. He was very professional. He had really great brochures and information to give you.

Went just fine. Second set of windows I purchased from them and attic insulation. I would highly recommend.

They were not the cheapest. They were fine. The house is staying cooler during the summer and warmer in the winter. They seemed very professional. I would use them again if needed.

Didn't go ahead with the insulation work but probably will get it done in next couple of months.

I used Aladdin in 2009 to add insulation in my attic space to save money. At that time I was told there was a "Lifetime Guarantee" in case of settling and if a contractor moved it around they would fix it. I admit I was skeptical about this but I had a new HVAC system put in the attic and the contractors had to move around the blown in insulation to do it. I also notice that the insulation had indeed settled some (below the 21 inches promised). I called Aladdin and left a message , within a few hours they called back (Charlie, the owner). I explained the problem and they came out that afternoon. My insulation is now back to specification and I am one HAPPY homeowner. Aladdin delivers on what they promise.

They never got back to me for a quote...

First, Charlie was able to accommodate my schedule in order to come to my house and give me a quote. This was a good sign. The lifetime guarantee on the insulation was also something that is was extremely interested in. Second, when Aladdin's people came out to install the insulation, they were very professional and timely in completing the work. Of note, shortly after having the insulation blown in our attic, we lost power to 2 bedrooms upstairs. When I called Charlie to tell him the situation and that I was going to have to hire a electrician to fix the problem, Charlie insisted that if it was something that his people did, Aladdin would pick up the bill. Well, after having the electrician out to our house we found out that the issue was faulty wiring that a previous electrician installed and it was not caused by Charlie's people. All in all, it was really good to know that Aladdin will stand by their work and was willing to pay for anything that happened as a result of the installation of the insulation. I will definitely be recommending Aladdin to my friends and family. Jonathan S.

We contacted Aladdin Insulation for a blown-in insulation in our attic. The quote provided was reasonable and better than the competition. The job was quickly scheduled and the workers arrived on time and finished in 2 hours flat. They cleaned up and left. There was a bit of an issue using the Angie's List coupon but in the end it was resolved to our satisfaction. We are very happy with the quality of the work, the timeliness and the cost. Starting with my initial contact with Aladdin I had a great experience. Charlie came by and took the time to review my project. He made multiple recommendations to improve my situation. He laid out a very plain, easy to understand outline of the project from start to finish. He was professional and knowledgeable. The men were very professional and efficient. They showed us a camera view of the duct work after it was cleaned out. They cleaned out the dryer vent and alerted us to a problem with the vent pipe. They did a very good job. They were very efficient. They didn't mess up the house at all in doing it. It was really a painless operation. They did very well. I'm hoping that there's little old insulation in the house and I'm expecting a very reasonable insulation. As far as what they did and how they did it, they did very well. Until I see my gas bills, I won't know how happy I am with the results of the work. They were competitive with the other people who I talked to. They did a very good job. I had an attic fan in my attic. They built the whole thing around it so it wouldn't get any insulation into it. They were very good and they were very clean. They were supposed to come first thing in the morning and when they were late, I tried to get them to come the next day. They came in late and they said they would do it as quickly as possible. They didn't get there on time. I would use them in the future.

I recently bought a house built in 1965 and the insulation in a 2400 square foot attic had never been updated. The insulation was rated less than R11 before we upgraded. Charles quoted me $700 less than our next lowest quote and for better insulation (R60 instead of R40 and using chemical free Johns Manville fiberglass). They put boxes over 20 of our recessed ceiling lights, filled in all the gaps from our ceiling lights/fans, plumbing, electrical outlets. They were prompt, courteous, and cleaned up after the job. They even checked our vents for dust. Since they decided a cleaning wasn't needed, there was no charge. Tough time getting scheduled primarily due to me, but Bobby was patient at finding a convenient time to do the work. They came out and install all six windows very quickly, 2-3 hours. Second time we used aladdin for windows and we will use them again

Very well. They were courteous and specific as to what was going to be installed. They didn't try to show me the whole lineup of windows and sell me on the most expensive. They made the whole process easy, quick, and very friendly. Install was smooth and quick with no issues. Will call them again to do my other windows.

The whole process was great from beginning to end. Charlie was incredibly informative and patient with all of my questions. When he evaluated the insulation within the attic he noticed that the fan we had in the hall bath was not drawing the air out of the house. We'd noticed that the fan had never been very affective but no one had ever pointed this out to us; not even the various electricians and contractors we'd had up there over the years. The gentlemen who installed the insulation and cleaned the vents were prompt, professional, and efficient. Before calling Aladdin Insulation I was really on the fence about whether or not duct cleaning would make a difference since everything I'd read on the subject seemed debatable, but since my sister suffers from allergies I figured it couldn't hurt either way. However, the smell she used to complain about within her room has vanished and we have noticed a marked improvement with her allergies. The biggest surprise, however, has been the difference with our thermostat and the control of the temperature within the house. I don't know if it's the added insulation in the attic, the cleaned vents, or a combination of both but I feel like I have control over my heat and air conditioning now. Now, when I set my thermostat to a certain temperature, I can feel a stronger current of air through the vents and that the desired temperature is reached faster and maintained longer than it was previously. The whole process was incredibly smooth and was even faster than I expected since both jobs only took roughly 4-5 hours. The final bit of icing on the cake is the satisfaction guarantee they provide for their insulation services. They provide free check-ups and offers to fix the insulation if another worker or animal should disturb the insulation. There is even a "no settle" guarantee. You can't really beat the quality or quantity provided by this company. I would recommend Aladdin Insulation to anyone who needed either job performed within their home or business. I would even recommend them for the services that they provide and haven't performed for me because that's how confident I am in their professionalism and quality.

We met with Charlie Whigham on August 8th. to discuss replacing our old windows and Storm Windows with a more energy efficient product. Charlie was a very pleasant person with an outstanding personality. He spoke often of his parents, which impressed my wife! Charlie told us all about his product and then continued with a demonstration. We were sold at that point and signed a contract, with the understanding that we would not pay him a penny until we were completely satisfied! He explained to us that he would send someone to measure the windows and that he would call before he came out. In a couple of days he called and we set a time for this to be done. He came on the day planned and then told us that it would take about two weeks for the windows to come in. This to went as planned. He called and told us they were in the warehouse and they came out the next day and installed them. We could not believe that they installed 22 windows in one day. They worked until they had them all installed and everything cleaned up. These guys were amazing. They told us that the insulation people would be here the next day and they were. There again, they did a masterful job. We could not be happier with our windows. It was then that we wrote them a check. Nothing paid until we were satisfied, just like Charlie said, Our windows are beautiful. They changed the appearance of our home for the better. Now my wife doesn't want to cover them up with window treatments. She loves them that much. We have had visitors who say that our house feels cooler and we believe they are right. We can hold our hand up to the door glass going out to the deck and feel lots of heat. We can do that to the kitchen window, which is on the same wall and we don't feel any heat at all. This is amazing! If you need new windows, call Charlie at Aladdin!! We love ours.

The salesman was punctual, knowledgeable, and professional, The estimate was very fair and compared with other venders, was on the low end. The amount of time for the order was exactly what was quoted. The installation team arrived exactly when they said they would, they were professional, expert, and did a great job. The windows are beautiful and even though they do not match my paint exactly, they look great on the house. The whole experience with Aladdin was topnotch from making the initial appointment to the final call for payment. I would highly recommend the company and the windows. I would love to have all of my windows done now but I will continue to replace them with Aladdin as my budget allows. I think Aladdin and all the employees I worked with are professional and experts in their field. Thank you for providing a superior product and fantastic workmanship. I keep telling all my neighbors how much I love my windows and they all agree, they are beautiful!
