ACOUSTIC INNOVATIONS

The initial installation was great - on time and complete (at least as far as we could tell). The personnel were professional and we did not have any issues. At some point we determined that one of the rooms had not been programmed and/or wired correctly for a certain feature. The process for trying to determine the nature of the problem took TWO YEARS, during which time I was consistently assured that "someone" would review the file and get back to me. A technician was sent out some time ago, but he also never understood what was *supposed* to have been done originally. Finally, the owner was supposed to come this week to review the situation - "between 11 and 11:30." After 11:30, I called and was told that he was out of town and could he come another day. Since I had taken off of work, I wanted someone to come that day. They did show up, some 30 minutes after they said they would arrive. Those two gentlemen were very polite and apologetic, but the proposal they sent to fix the problem was for over $700. I get that the original function was never going to work and now requries a different piece of hardware, but that would have been nice to know then (4 years ago), and if I do want the piece of hardware, I don't think I should be charged labor, or for PROGRAMMING that they didn't do correctly in the first place. Seems pretty clear they are geared to and focused on the big jobs (as my treatment differed greatly when they were doing the original work), but not for follow-up.

Contacted Acoustic Innovations at the recommendation of a friend. Received and accepted a very fair quote. Sonos was provided at retail, but would be professionally installed. They came, after several emails, and performed the service. The hanging of the TV was excellent. Well worth the money to have it done professionally. The Sonos install consisted of Surround sound and tow additional rooms. It also went well. However the speakers were white and I would have preferred black. During a conversation regarding this, the company asked if I would prefer black. Given the choice, I said "yes". They then volunteered to switch them for me. They asked that we save all of the packing materials of the speakers so they could be repacked when the black ones were installed. I emailed them within a few days, as they requested, and asked that 2 of the 4 speakers be changed to black and I also requested that one additional black speaker be installed. Weeks went by with no response, so I followed up with another email. Then 2 voicemails. Many weeks later, on the third phone call I reached them and was advised, in a less than friendly tone, that there was "a delay in receiving the equipment". It has been months and no word or equipment. There are many options for vendors in this area, I cannot recommend this vendor.

I called Tom and set up an appointment for him to come to estimate the removal of an old tv and placement of new audio visual components into my cabinet. He arrived on a cold, stormy Saturday morning to do the estimate. He did not even flinch when he saw the size of the old 32inch HDTV monster (it weighs 157lbs) and the miles of cabling and wire used to connect a DVD/CD player, receiver, 3 speakers and a satellite box. Tom explained the process and on Monday morning emailed me an estimate of $150.00. My appointment for installation was set for Friday, 1/17/14 at 9AM. Two Acoustic Innovations techs arrived exactly on time. They were professional, experienced and within 90 minutes removed the old monster tv and its accessories and installed my beautiful 42 inch Smart TV, soundbar and connected them perfectly to the DVD/CD and satellite box. Plus, they programmed the wifi and explained how to work it all together. Afterwards, all of the old useless wires and cables were cleaned up and the techs even offered to take the boxes from the new tv and soundbar to the garbage! I would not hesitate to hire Acoustic Innovations again. Tom Holmberg has an excellent company with great techs! From the moment I talked to his office manager Tara to set the appointment to when the techs finished, it was a perfect customer service experience! Thank you, Tom!!!
