I had done some research on the internet that indicated my problem was a defective thermostat and watched a YouTube video showing the Whirlpool version of my fridge having its thermostat replaced and what to be careful of (not bending the thermostat wire while threading it through the plastic tubing). Vladimir agreed, after checking the dials and vents, that the thermostat was broken. He ordered the thermostat and came back 2 business days later to replace the defective one. The diagnostic visit was $50 and was applied to the $282.70 cost to repair. While I waited for the new thermostat to arrive and be installed, Vladimir recommended a bypass to thaw the water reservoir that feeds the water dispenser and to prevent food from freezing in the fridge. He set the freezer dial to the highest cold setting which would keep the freezer side cold and cause less cold air to flow into the fridge side. To assure that minimal cold air from the freezer entered the fridge side, he had me cover 3/4 of the top and bottom vents in the fridge with reflective HVAC tape (restricting the amount of cold air into the fridge side). He said I should monitor the fridge temperature by placing a thermometer in it to be sure it measured between 35-38 degrees. Overnight, the water reservoir melted and I could get water from my water dispenser in the morning. The food in the fridge also thawed. The fridge temperature measured in the upper 30's. Today, Vladimir returned and replaced the thermostat in less than 30 minutes. On the receipt he wrote that the warranty is 30 days on labor and 1 year on parts. If the part fails during the warranty, I am to call him to get a replacement. Though he offers a 5% discount to Angie's List members, the discount is only on parts (excludes labor) and would have only been $5 on the thermostat. I will update if needed, but I hope this review helps others who need their refrigerator thermostat replaced.

He showed me what the issue was, quoted the price before he did the work and was professional. He cleaned up all the water on the floor before he left and was respectful of our house. He called hours before our 2-4 window and said he was in the area and could come early if that was okay with me. I agreed and I would hire him again in a second. He was friendly, even to my dog who likes to greet visitors, and fully explained the process to me. Vladimir completed the work quickly and easily gave me the 5% Angie's discount with no complaint.

I called this provider for service, and was hung up on by the rudest receptionist I've ever experienced. I couldn't understand her when she answered, so I said, "Is this (name of their business)?" and she cut my off and rudely stated the name of their business. When I asked her if they may be able to send someone to repair my refrigerator today, she responded by telling me someone could come Monday. I told her that was okay, that we'd try to find someone today, and we'd call back Monday if I couldn't get someone over this weekend. She got frustrated with me, told me I should find someone better, and hung up on me! I never took a rude tone with her or raised my voice. I wasn't even upset. I'm not sure why potential customers deserve to be treated this way! I HAD to leave a review to warn other potential customers! I wonder how many customers they've lost because of this VERY RUDE woman!!

Our Kenmore washing machine was leaking after many years of service. I was ready to give it up and buy an $800 new one, but read reviews and decided to get another opinion. David came out the next day and diagnosed that it was a fill gasket that needed to be replaced and although it was only a $17 part, it was several hours of labor. He put the washer back together for me and only charged $45 for the diagnostic fee, offering to credit that towards the repair if I wanted to do that. I called back on a Friday evening and they scheduled the repair on Tuesday when I would be available again. He showed up on time and quickly got to work. He is a gentle, giant of a man that loves what he does and knows appliance repair like nobody's business. He also advised that this was a much better and durable washer than the new front loading washers that in his experience, break down after 2-3 years. I'm kind of looking forward to the next appliance break in my older home to do business with them again. A+ folks, A+.

It went well and everything is working fine. He came pretty early and I just wasn't feeling well but it was okay. I just wasn't ready for him to be there yet. He was willing to wait a little until we were ready. So everything went smoothly.

Everything was done quickly and professionally while keeping the cost very reasonable for the work that was performed. Vladimir is the owner and technician and we have used him on two other occasions with the same level of professionalism and successful completion of the job. Also, he has repaired our dishwasher and our refrigerator, and since the repairs, all appliances have been working perfectly. Vladimir was very prompt in setting an appointment and arrived at the designated time to perform the work. By telling him the issue, model number and brand of the appliances in advance, he always had the required parts to complete the repair in one visit.

I had a dishwasher delivered from Lowe's on Friday, May 29. I had not scheduled installation through the store, and when I tried to get someone from Lowe's out to do it, they told me I had to wait till the following Wednesday. I searched Angie's List for someone to install the new dishwasher, and called Absolute Appliance directly, to see if it would be possible to get someone to do the installation sooner. I was able to make the appt. for Sat morning. Alex arrived promptly and was VERY thorough, clean and professional. We actually purchased the wrong water line for the installation, but Alex had the right one in his car. I'm a recent homeowner and feel like I've been shimmied a couple of times by repair guys. I will absolutely call Absolutely Appliance in the future for other needs. They over delivered, and while they were $30 more expensive than Lowe's, that money was worth it to me to have the dishwasher up and running on MY schedule.

WOW! I called at 8 am this morning. Alex was here before 10 am. The dryer was fixed before 11 am! Call, appointment, repair in less than 3 hours. Alex was professional, super nice, and did a thorough job of not only fixing the dryer, but also cleaned it out (lint, etc.) while he had it taken apart. I was going to use a different company, but after checking Angie's List found Absolute Appliance Repair to have such good reviews that I changed to them. I am really impressed and will not only use them again, I will refer them to anyone who asks for an appliance repair company!

Pleasant, professional, honest. Absolute ran (multiple cycles) to troubleshoot. Said water pressure was fine & the dishwasher was kept up well for an old appliance. Suggested I use less dish washing soap. Have always (10+ yrs) filled the receptacle w/o soap residue remaining on glasses; now only partially fill it w/soap so everything gets rinsed off. Prior to calling Absolute, I'd tried changing dish washing soap & rinse and had stopped stacking tupperware on top of the glasses but hadn't tried using less soap. Wasn't in the kitchen the whole time; grateful I wasn't charged for/told I needed a part(s) that I didn't need.

Love these guys. This is the second time we've used this company, and we'll continue to call them if we have any other issues.

I made the initial contact through the web-site in the evening and they called back first thing the next day. My wife told me they were extremely professional and the repairman seemed very honest and caring.

I called late in the day, and they were there right away the next day. We were very happy with them. They did what they said they'd do in an hour and a half. Vladimir did a wonderful job.

Spoke w/Lilya at 3:00 pm Friday afternoon. She made an appointment for the next morning (a Saturday) between 10-12:00. Vladimir called shortly after 10:00 to let me know he'd arrive in 30-40 minutes. He diagnosed the problem, quoted me a price to repair it, and had the part w/him. Vladimir said Thermador's are easier to work on because they're made simpler. The job was done in less than 90 minutes. (I wrote a check rather than paying more for using a credit card.) The whole experience was prompt & professional. On an appliance review note - the Thermador was installed in 2000. The downdraft vent switch was first replaced July of 2011 (by a different company) along w/some other appliance repairs. The switch price back then was $150. It hasn't worked for awhile so it only lasted about three years. The downdraft exhaust vent concept is a nice one in theory but is adding up in reality. Thank goodness for Angie's list, people taking the time to contribute complete reviews, & being able to research everything on the internet!

The repairman was attentive and fixed the problem quickly. I would use them again in the future.

Called Absolute Appliance and I understood that they would call me bet 4:00-6:00 p.m Surprised that the technician were at the gate Fixed the trouble in 3 minutes (wires) Asked from him to repair all the damages like leveling, loose screws, dishwasher did not have a leg, etc. The efficient and professional gentleman left my dishwasher like new.

Fixed it but had to return as problem persisted. Extremely professional and worked in a timely manner. Dryer works better than ever. He's a keeper!

I'm writing this review less than 4 hours after finding Absolute Appliance Repair on Angie's List. I contacted them because I was impressed with the company's scores & reviews. Vladimir arrived at our home very quickly after my call, arriving at the agreed-upon time. Our dryer installation is a difficult one, but he was able to get the job done in spite of the difficulty. He not only changed out the drum belt and tensioner pulley, but cleaned out the entire unit and adjusted some door switches that needed a little work, as well. He completed the job quickly and efficiently. We will definitely use this company again...

It went great. Vladimir arrived within 30 minutes of my contacting Absolute Appliance Repair by phone. he diagnosed the problem quickly and then went to work immediately to repair the problem. he even told me it was okay to let my son's do out of the laundry room - and i could tell he is a dog-person instantaneously. Vladimir was very neat and efficient. My family couldn't believe the oven was fixed in such short order.

Alex was on time , and installed the new switch in just a few minutes. He made certain that the machine worked properly and showed me the old part which had been broken. I had called this morning and he was HERE this morning... unbelievable for an appliance service! I asked for cards to give to my neighbors...Absolute Appliance Repair, Inc. will surely be called again. Thank you for having professional service people like Alex. He is a credit to the company.

I called at 4:35pm and set up an appoint between the hours of 6 -8pm. Vladimir had the washing machine repaired and the dish washing evaluated by 7pm. Very responsive, professional and smart! The dishwasher isn't a keeper but Absolute Appliance Repair sure is!

Bought gas stove from HH Gregg. The installers did not hook it up correctly. Kept smelling gas. Started oven up and black smoke and heavy gas smell. Called Fire dept. They told me not to use the stove until I got a repairman out. Called Absolute Applicance Repair and Vladmir came with his gas tester and found the leak immediately. Tightened everything up. Retested and no leaks. He was patient and amazing!

Vladimir came out back in July to inspect my first stove. Told HH Gregg what happened and they wanted to send another stove. Told them I didn't want to get another stove because I didn't trust the installers since the last gas stove installed had leaks. HH Gregg sent another stove anyway. Called Vladimir immediately and had him come out today. Inspected and tested and found no leaks. Felt so much better after he came. I would say use him for all your appliance needs!

Our freezer was dripping water onto the hardwoods due to a clogged drain pipe. Vladimir came the next day after I called and corrected the problem quickly and professionally, and for a reasonable price for the amount of time he was here. He also checked two other refrigerators and gave us an idea of what the cost would be to repair, and called us back with a part number we would need to fix the deli drawer ourselves and told us where we could call to find the part we needed. We were very happy with Absolute and will definitely use again!
