Description of Work: Trimmed and thinned three trees in front yard. From the back yard they removed 2 85' Poplars, 1 medium water oak, a dead small wild cherry tree and a sweet gum sapling. The crew was well organized and did excellent work. Everything was done neatly and professionally. When the truck that held the chipping debris would leave for short periods the debris would pile up on the lawn, the neighbors driveway and the street. Fortunately, the crew would clean up promptly when the truck would return. The original charge for the tree removal and thinning was more than $1000 higher than any other quote, but, after the 20% Angies discount was in the ballpark though slightly more expensive. I also thought that their price for spreading 5 bags of fertilizer was too high. All in all, they did an excellent job if a little on the expensive side.

+ -1 moreI usually adhere to Angie's List reviews. I had successful tree work done in March from another vendor. I tried them again, but they didn't return my call. I received a flier in the mail from A Plus yesterday, but they only had two reviews on the site. I figured it was worth at least getting an estimate. I called at 8:30am, the estimator was here by 11am, and the crew was here by 12:30pm... remarkable. They were professional and descended on the yard like locust. There were 6-8 of them for the single tree and removal process. Whole thing with clean up took an hour. It was good work. I am guessing I could have found it a little cheaper if I had taken the time to get 3-5 estimates, but it was a fair price and they didn't cut corners. Very pleased and will recommend to others.
Description of Work: They cut down a 40-50 ft dead hickory tree 10 ft from the front of my house. They also took down a stray dead branch in the back yard.

I went with him because I thought he knew what I wanted and he was supposed to be there when the work was being done, but he actually wasn't there. They were very efficient and quick in doing the work. We didn’t have a set time for them to come out.
Description of Work: I used A Plus Tree Service to clear some trees and they also pruned some.

+ -1 moreThis is the most professional & considerate tree company I have ever dealt with. Walter Byrd is a certified arborist & horticurist. He spent over an hour assessing the health of my trees and telling me things I could do to help keep them healthy. He is very knowledgeable. Workers were careful and cleaned up extremely well.
Description of Work: 4 trees removed, many dead or dangerous limbs removed from several other trees, all debris was cleared up and removed.

The tree was taken down and the area around the tree cleaned up appropriately. We have used A Plus Tree Service before and have been very satisfied with their service.
Description of Work: During a recent storm, we lost a large section of a river birch tree next to our home. The tree had to be taken down due to the possibility of further damage.

+ -1 moreSCHEDULING FOR THE ESTIMATE TIME AND DATE WAS VERY EFFICIENT. TIMELY RESPONSE FOR AN EARLY MORNING APPOINTMENT. CREWS WERE AVAILABLE TO DO THE WORK ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. THEY CUT DOWN AND REMOVED THE TREES AND CLEANED THE YARD. THE JOB WAS IMMACULATE, ALMOST LIKE THEY'D NEVER BEEN ON THE PROPERTY. THEY PROBABLY WEREN'T THE LEAST EXPENSIVE ROUTE, BUT DEFINITELY HIGH QUALITY OUTCOME.
Description of Work: DEAD TREES REMOVED FROM HILLSIDE. DAMAGED TREES CUT AND REMOVED FROM PROPERTY. LIVE TREES WERE TRIMMED AND THINNED TO IMPROVE THEIR HEALTH. ALL TRASH REMOVED.
