The weather had been rainy for several days so we agreed to have our work completed on a Sunday. The workers arrived in the morning and appeared to complete all work in a professional manner. They told my husband to stay off the roof for a few days to allow the caulking to dry. Then we had another stretch of rain so it was about 10 days before my husband went up on the roof to inspect the work. He was going to paint the chimney box but had some concerns about the quality of the work. The estimate we received did not include priming and painting. My husband works long hours and often works 6 or more days in a row before he has any time off. He asked me to contact Mr. Gulliver and tell him the issues he had with the work done. My husband was not happy with the caulking job...he said it was incomplete and there were areas that needed to be caulked. He had a question about the way the flashing had been trimmed. He also wanted to know why they had not used the T111 siding on all 4 sides of the chimney (as stated in the estimate). Instead, there was T111 siding on 3 sides and plywood on the fourth side. We are not saying this is poor quality work but we wanted to know why the work had been done that way. I called Mr. Gulliver and expressed these concerns and told him my husband wanted him to come over and inspect the work completed on our chimney. Mr. Gulliver asked me to have my husband call him. My husband works long hours and asked me to contact Mr. Gulliver because he was very busy at work but I told my husband that Mr. Gulliver wanted him to call him directly. So my husband called Mr. Gulliver the very first day he (my husband) was off work. My husband was off work on a Monday and Tuesday. He called Mr. Gulliver's business office that Monday morning and spoke with his receptionist. He told her he wanted to speak with Mr. GULLIVERS regarding the work done on our home. No one has ever called us back. My husband finally went ahead and finished the caulking on the new chimney box and painted because he didn't want the wood to warp with all the rain we have received. Mr. Gulliver has never called my husband back and as far as I know he has not been to our home to inspect the work done. We are very unsatisfied with the lack of follow up we have seen from DB GULLIVER and Sons. The quality of the work done may be fine, however, since we have a few questions, we feel a professional contractor would take the time to inspect the finished job and address our concerns. Mr. Gulliver has not shown any interest in ensuring we are satisfied with the work his company did on our home. We will not use his company again and we will not recommend him to any of our friends.

Very responsive. First came out to do an assessment and estimate which was free. Scheduled the work in a timely fashion. Originally came when it was raining but then voluntarily came back as soon as it quite raining even though I was not there. Leak was fixed with no further problems. Also gave me a recommendation on someone to fix the ceiling where the leak had damaged it. Very easy to deal with and were very professional explaining how the roof should have been done

After calling three companies, I was discouraged that two did not respond after calling and leaving messages, and another never showed up while I took time off for an appointment. DB Gulliver showed up (on a Saturday), inspected the problem and quoted me a price. I felt that his company was very professional and quick to get the job done. I would recommend the company with no hesitation.

We called him on a Friday, and he said he would be out Saturday with roofing samples. It took us a week to decide what we wanted to do. My husband called him on a Tuesday and told them which sample we wanted. When I came home Wednesday, the roof was on the house. They were cleaned up and gone.

Fast response and worked in our time limit before leaving for a funeral.

I am in the process of buying a house that is in great need of shingles and shall report this when i am done, but my friend's roof looks great and she was completely satisfied with their work and professionalism
